Community Medical Services - Buckeye: Reviews
Fantastic experience: This clinic has been amazing! There are amazing people that work at this clinic. They care about and love their clients like they're family. Dawn and Kandace have been a godsend in my life and have treated me so amazingly and have done such great things for me while struggling through life. I love this place and feel at home and completely comfortable here. They really do care about people here and its such a wonderful thing to see and experience.
Positive experience: There are positive and negative issues regarding CMS. They open at 04:30-11:00, except Sundays. If one receives take- homes, for brevity sake- one can begin dosing at 5 a.m. I will begin with the staff. Dawn is absolutely amazing with all the clientele. She is merciful, compassionate, and knows every clients name, situation, and general information. She is an exceptional listener with kindness which abounds! Tiffany, at reception, is more reserved and more difficult to converse with, which could be simply due to being busy. These two individuals always arrive quite early. Candace is a strong and intelligent lady. She has exceptional boundaries, although she is not easy to get to know(in this capacity). It takes time. She has a gift for her work and profession. I have found Dante to be serious, studious, intense, and focused. I do not know him well but am enjoying getting to know him, even if only a bit. The nurse is fantastic! Morgan is quick, kind, intelligent, yet able to sense impropriety. She is truly a lovely young lady who takes her job very seriously. The prescribing provider is a sharp young lady. She is an NP. She is personable and bright. She allots more time than most would and has a formidable grasp, regarding side effects, contraindications, and other medical conditions which could hinder/help a client to be more comfortable, as well as functional. They do have a building which most feel is poorly situated, as it is directly off of a main street. Unless clients stay in their vehicles, until the moment of entry- one's privacy is not protected. This makes HIPPA seem like a humorously treated subject. Those whom I have asked do not feel as if their privacy is protected, inside or out. The parking lot does offer handicapped parking, as well as wheelchair access and entry. Unfortunately, the parking lot also does not protect one's vehicle from easily being identified. I do wish they had a fence or wall which would provide clientele with some anonymity. They request two-weeks notice for travel or vacations; which are out of town or may require extra medication, or courtesy dosing(receiving medication from a different clinic in a different location). From my knowledge, they provide services for methadone, suboxone, bupenorphine et al. They also wean clients off of methadone . They work on a system which can differ from state to state. Also, the laws and guidelines vary from clinic to clinic. You are not allowed to drink alcohol at this clinic which is perfectly sensible. They do allow take- homes: monthly, bi-weekly, weekly, thrice weekly, and daily(the timetables may be inaccurate). You must sign a ROI(release of information), thereby client's physicians will be aware that they are receiving care here. One must provide prescriptions for any substance(particularly controlled) one may be taking. One must agree to be called in, at any time, to ensure that clients are taking their medication properly, and that they are not involved in diversionary behaviors. I have seen them work with pregnant women, as well as refer them to other places of recovery for postpartum care and infant care. Most of their client's receive ACCESS. They not only pay for the medication, yet also arrange transportation. Essentially, the majority are receiving these services at no cost. If one is self- pay, the approximate cost is $270 for methadone. It is necessary to meet with the medical provider every three months, complete a treatment plan every 3-6 months(unsure), and meet with a counselor monthly. They also provide clients, who ask, with Narcan nasal spray. The intakes are extensive and many should be prepared to spend numerous hours; particularly if they take place at CMS's central location. CMS has numerous satellite clinics around the Phoenix Metro area. Aside from extensive information gathered, they will want a urine, a TB test, a finger stick for Hepatitis C, as well as a possible EKG(which they can provide on- site, at their central location). I would recommend them.
Fantastic experience: Well, I was the very first patient at this clinic and first patient to dose when they opened. Great clinic!! Very clean and safe environment!!! Dawn, who works at the front desk is nothing short of AMAZING!!!! Joanne, the Counselor, is very patient, understanding and professional. The manager of the clinic, Rose, is on a first name basis with each client and is always available rather you just want to say hi or have an issue. The dosing nurse… I forgot her name… she’s the third one now… but she’s amazing!!!! Very helpful, fast, efficient and treats you like family!!! If you live life like your supposed to and stay clean, your take home level will increase quickly. I now go once a month to the clinic. To be honest, it’s nice, however, I REALLY MISS seeing the staff more often.
Fantastic experience: Great staff. There for you if you need and ASK.... Closed mouths don't get fed! No pressure clinic, just get the help you need!
Fantastic experience: With your first step into the clinic you’re greeted with smiling faces from the ladies that are ALL beyond par with their professionalism and are super easy to talk to if you have ANY questions or concerns at all! There is no “dumb question” and are willing to explain and walk you through every step of your treatment plan! Definitely a go to place if you are seeking treatment without judgment and finger pointing, which always makes it’s easy to walk in there feeling confident about yourself and you’re plan you have in place. The building and surroundings are pleasantly clean at all times. There is even a little set up for your kiddos in the waiting room to help keep them busy and side tracked while you take care of your business! What are you waiting for!?!?...... come get your beautiful life back on track
