Dr. Romeo E. Dimaano, D.C./Active Spine & Sports Care

Fantastic experience: I started going to Dr. Dimaano this past summer due to debilitating sciatica down my left hip and leg. This issue has crept up on me over the years, but the pain finally got to the point where it was affecting my ability to sit, work, and run. I am an ultra runner and so wanted to go to a sports doctor that appreciates the rigors I subject my body to, as well as support me continue doing what I love. Dr. Romeo was highly recommended by fellow ultra runners is the SoCal community, so I decided to give him a shot. There was no "easy button" to address this excruciating pain, rather the problem was layered with multiple causes. Dr. Romeo worked with me over several months using a variety of techniques and I'm happy to say I'm now ~90% better: my left hip feels 10 years younger and I now run with a spring in my step I've haven't had in quite some time. Doctor Romeo has earned my trust because he clearly cares first and foremost about you: he listens and keeps at it until there's forward progress. I've had other running related strains during this time and he's helped me get over those as well. He doesn't order unnecessary tests or expensive treatments, your well being is clearly his top priority. In addition to the office visits, he has me on a daily exercise regiment that has greatly improved my overall core strength and health. I've never written a review for a doctor before, but have had such fantastic results, wanted to share my experience in case this may help others who are suffering similarly. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Dimaano for over 10 years. As someone who works within the industry and works closely with hundreds of doctors, I can speak to Dr. Dimaano's degree of professionalism, honesty, skill, and knowledge as practitioner. I have referred numerous friends, clients, and colleagues to him over the years and each one of them has come away feeling better and impressed. Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been going to Dr. Dimaano for years and I can't recommend him highly enough! He is so knowledgeable and has the most incredible bed side manner! I have seen him for shin splints, carpal tunnel syndrome, posture issues (slouching AND sway back-both of which were causing so many other issues!), diastasic recti (after my pregnancy) and now...scar therapy with the laser! I cant believe the results!!!! ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Romeo Dimaano. He is a truly caring, professional and personable person. I have dealt with many years of chronic back pain/left leg debilitating nerve pain. After 2 major back surgeries and only being in my early 30's I really needed help to improve my situation. I did many years of physical therapy and other procedures that did not have successful outcomes. Romeo truly pulls out all of the stops for his patients. He never makes you feel discouraged and always has such an upbeat outlook on things. He takes the time to listen to you not only as a Doctor, but as a friend. From the surgeries I unfortunately, dealt with a lot of scar tissue problems. Dr. Dimaano worked his magic in the office with different manipulations and exercises. He also used the K-Laser which helped extremely with swelling. Romeo also offers PiezoWave Therapy in his office. I was able to experience a great sense of pain relief with the combination of the Laser and the PiezoWave to break up some of the scar tissue. Dr. Dimaano is always continuing his education to better his patients. He is a true family man and genuinely cares about each and every patient of his.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Romeo has been the primary health sidekick in my professional triathlon career thus far (2017-present). He has been there for me, ready to employ the latest and greatest as well as tried and true techniques to get (and keep) me race ready throughout. Romeo has a depth of knowledge that I find extremely impressive. You ask about it, he most likely knows (a lot) about it! He has studied various methods of treatment, and seems to always be reading up on the latest research and going to clinics to advance his skills. He has helped me to heal from overuse injuries, bike accident injuries, as well as daily aches and pains that come from living a very active lifestyle. Most importantly, I believe that he has helped me to AVOID injury as prevention is the best cure. I am so grateful to Dr. Romeo for his care. I regularly refer friends, family and triathlon coaching clients to him knowing that they will receive the highest standard of input and treatment.
