There Are 61,600 Companions In Nevada Shelters. Our Mission is to rehabilitate Dogs & Cats to save their lives and get them adopted.

We provide hospice care for shelter dogs nearing end of life with no potential adoption in site. We take them on a few last wish adventures and provide a safe and loving environment to live out the rest of their days. Feeling comfort and love before they say goodbye…it’s a beautiful thing.

We provide low-cost socialization, basic training and/or confidence building for your canine. 100% of funds raised go directly to helping CRCCS dogs in recovery.

Did you adopt from CRCCS? Or maybe your dog isn’t welcome (or isn’t comfortable) at daycare or other boarding facilities. Don’t worry, we speak dog! We provide fun overnight (or a few nights) support with our sleep-over program, ensuring your pet has a safe and happy place to stay while you’re away.

Overall l walked away with a good impression of the staff, polite, professional and they seem to be willing to take on the problem dogs which is no small feat. I give them credit for what they are striving to do there.

Don’t shop, adopt! They are a wonderful organization that helps dogs. Very caring and friendly people here. I found my Abby here. Also a great place to volunteer to walk the dogs.

Canine Rehabilitation Center & Cat Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and our mission is to inspire, educate, and motivate the human spirit, as well as save, nurture, and love the canine spirit—bringing the two together to change the way the world views, rescues, and places homeless dogs and cats.

Director of the Behavior & Training Division at Canine Rehabilitation Center and Cat Sanctuary, a division of the Sanctuary dedicated to providing a variety of classes, behavior programs and services for the community and dog trainers.

She has lived throughout the US and this life experience has afforded her first-hand understanding and appreciation of all the different cultures and perspectives that exist within our country; not to mention the great friends she has cultivated along the way. Having lived in Reno for the past three years, she enjoys discovering new restaurants, loves exploring new places and spending time with her husband, Jerry, three daughters, two GSD’s and her Carolina Dog.

She has always been passionate about animal welfare and has volunteered as an adoption counselor for a German Shepherd Rescue group, as well as a dog handler for the JAX Humane Society. She is thrilled to be a member of the CRCCS team and looks forward to expanding awareness and financial support, both locally and nationally, for our mission to save as many innocent lives as possible.

Fantastic experience: We're so glad that we brought Luna to CRCCS for training. In couple of month we noticed a big change in her behavior. Kevin is a awesome trainer, very professional and he has a lot of patience. Everyone is so friendly at CRCCS and they really care for all the furry babies. Highly recommended! Keep up the good work. We'll be back for sure!

Fantastic experience: Best group of dog people we've ever met. We were referred to them following crisis with my dogs and they helped us through it, quite literally saving our little girls life. She would have had to be euthanized if Kristen and Kevin had not been willing to work with us. Very caring, knowledgeable and good at teachers. They are transforming lives there, and not just dogs! I could never say enough good things about them.

Fantastic experience: Our family would not be complete without our adopted pups, Whiskey, Tango, and Foxtrot. The team at CRCS is truly amazing and they've been very supportive since the adoption. I wouldn't consider boarding my pack anywhere else. All three dogs were long-term shelter dogs with a history of being returned for various reasons, but while at CRCS they formed a pack bond that just couldn't be broken . . . so we adopted the whole pack and we've been grateful every day since.

Fantastic experience: We adopted our dog here, Macey! She is such a great dog and they did a great job training her while she was there! She walks beautifully on a leash. The people there are amazing and when we take Macey to visit sometimes, they always love seeing her. I would definitely recommend this place and I would adopt from here again.
