Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Don on and off again for different issues. He takes the time to listen to what is going on really narrows down the issues and works out a great plan to get me back to everyday life.

Fantastic experience: It was my good fortune to work with Don Zelna following my total knee replacement surgery. Don is knowledgeable, professional and goal oriented. By the same token, he is also personable and soft spoken. On my first visit with him following surgery, I could barely lift my surgical leg a half inch off the table. It felt like an iron rod. At the end of eight weeks of physical therapy with Don, I was walking unassisted, with no walker, or cane needed. Having completed the eight weeks of my surgeon's prescribed therapy, I will continue the exercises at home, probably for the rest of my life. But, if I feel I'm not meeting intended goals, or if I need guidance, I will not hesitate to make additional appointments with Don. He will always be my first choice! I would also like to add, the facility itself is relaxed, bright and sunny, and the equipment is sterilized after each use. The staff is welcoming and warm, from the smiling ladies in the front office to the therapists and the assistants.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience with my physical therapist, Mr. Zelna, was very professional & knowledgeable with the exercises and he was very kind & patient especially since I’m recovering from shoulder surgery and in a great deal of pain. Jaylen was so sweet! She was very helpful with scheduling my first appt and my future appointments. I highly recommend them!

Easy to get along with her, easy to understand what my "homework" is, and how important it is to do ALL the work to regain proper use of the fixed limb. The entire staff, from front desk, to the support people, people on the phone, the therapist made getting proper use of my repaired part sooo worth the magic that surgeons put into getting me back. Highly recommend, and will continue to highly recommend. Now I am 2 for 2 best experiencecoming back from surgery.

Helped me with all that I may need to know, from getting into the house, in and out of car and how to get around in and out of the home. He was very thorough and made me feel comfortable with the whole situation. Gave me information on how I can reach him at all times. So far, I am very happy and do recommend.

I can say, without reservation, that the therapists at Raleigh Orthopaedic Physical Therapy are the best I have ever had. They take charge, provide necessary explanations, and lead you through activities tailor-made for your needs and physical condition. They challenge and encourage you, and track your progress. They praise your accomplishments and motivate you to do your best. Physical therapies in the past have sometimes been something to dread, but I look forward to my sessions with this group. 5 Stars.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience with my physical therapist Glen Ludwig. He thoroughly explained everything that he was going to do with my left ankle before doing it. He explained the medication and how it worked. He explained and demonstrated how the ankle exercises should be properly done and gave me a printout to follow.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been getting therapy from Glenn periodically over the past 15 years or so for my neck neck, back, shoulder, and legs. He’s got magic in his hands for massages, a great personality, and a pro’s pro. So glad he’s there for me when I need him.

Fantastic experience: Laura, Megan and the whole team are very good at their careers. Mostly worked with Laura who knew exactly how to help my problem. She explained what my body was doing and why. The issue that I had was helped immensely! It was not my first time in PT so I would return again when necessary!

Fantastic experience: First time ever needing to have PT after shoulder replacement surgery! I didn’t know what to expect and from the moment I walked in I could tell it was full of people that really cared and want to help you on your road to recovery. Laura was awesome and so encouraging!

Fantastic experience: Good first visit. I was seen on time. Laura got acquainted, and we got right to work on PROM, AAROM and AROM exercises. She explained what we were doing and why and provided a take-home sheet for my practice. Even had me schedule my recurring visits for the next month or so, identifying a partner therapist who could see me in her absence.

Fantastic experience: My visit was a last minute visit after seeing the doctor. I was fitted for a brace for my thumb. Alyssa was very knowledgeable and offered a session to improve my ROM and strengthening exercises. I am looking forward to the session with her!

Positive experience: I was very disappointed with my two post-op sessions with Glenn Ludwig. He was pompous and egotistical. Each time he would tell me to do an exercise, he would immediately go sit in his little office in the back, where he could not even see what I was doing. He had me doing an exercise that was expressly forbidden in my discharge instructions, and he refused to believe it when I told him. I had to have the surgeon's PA write a note to him advising that I was not to perform that particular exercise based on my surgery. I made the decision to return to my pre-op physical therapist at the Edwards Mill location as soon as I was released to drive. Avoid Glenn at all costs. The other therapists in the Cary location appeared to be very engaged with their patients and did not abandon their patients as Glenn did.
