Most recently, Tess helped me recover from injuries from a car accident that resulted in a shoulder surgery. Not only are they amazing physical therapists, they are amazing human beings! I have seen Chris from time to time as well as some of their other therapist and regardless of who you see, you will know you are in good hands. They focus on 1-1 attention and while you are there, they are focused on your care only. Tess listened to all of my concerns and help me navigate not only the physical pain and stress I was under but also the emotional stress as well. She cared about the whole ME. Tess even was able to speak directly to my shoulder surgeon before and after to ensure were were making progress. She was a key in my total physical recovery from my car accident and surgery. I am forever grateful for Tess and Chris and their team. Thanks for all you do! I would highly recommend them over any other practice around!

The hands on manual therapy that has been done on me in every visit has made a world of difference in my recovery. Stretches and exercises that are given as well play a big part too. Fantastic experience: My therapist at Physical Therapy Partners was Laxmi. Every time I went to the facility she greeted me with a smile. She was very thorough when she diagnosed my problem, probably putting me through 15 to 20 different tests before she formed her opinion of the underlying issue. She spent time every session massaging my shoulder and getting my posture correct again. They have an online portal for the exercises and you can watch a video or read a textual description and mark off that you finished the routine online. I really can't image getting better care.

I had a traumatic injury years ago that has required many surgeries over the years and Chris has always been able to get me back on track. I have tried other therapists through the years, but none are as knowledgeable as Chris.

With PTP, you are able to work with an individual/specific therapist rather than being treated by different/multiple therapists who never get to know you. For me, I was extremely lucky to have worked with Rachel Adams who has been a breath of fresh air. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and compassionate. You can tell that Rachel really enjoys her job and helping people. My lower back responded well to Rachel's care and I am finally able to return to my active lifestyle. I highly recommend PTP!

Fantastic experience: From my experiences working with Christopher Dunn and PT Partners, I consider him and his practice to be platinum-level Physical Therapists and Healthcare providers. I highly recommend this group! Christopher is a gifted clinician who combines the best attributes of a diagnostician and scientist with outstanding people skills, knowledge of biomechanics, exercise physiology, exercise routines, and an incredible positivity and level of care and interest in his patients. I first met Christopher at 41 years old -- three years after sustaining a severe SI joint injury in a Yoga Master Class. Five different practitioners could not diagnose my injury correctly during those three years. And, I'd seen no relief or improvement. As a result, my problems worsened dramatically, generating a misalignment pattern that became essentially locked down, causing some muscles to give up and atrophy while others became increasingly rigid. By the time I found Christopher, I'd had to quit my Trail Running regimen -- training year-round for competitive trail runs -- read Uwharrie Moutain Run and other regional trail runs in the circuit -- and stop my Yoga practice. Nor was I able to enjoy other leisure activities like hiking and tennis. My initial injury worsened into a devastating misalignment of my pelvis and my SI joint. In addition, it had implicated my entire spine touching off mobility issues, TMJ, severe headaches, and nausea. It took a while, but Christopher sorted me out entirely by treating me as a holistic musculoskeletal system. Eventually, I was able to return to Trail Running and continue for another 17 years! What a joy! I returned to Christopher when I experienced two other injuries -- a severe car accident that injured my neck and a separate occurrence of a knee injury that resulted in surgery and required PT to recover. We also worked through these problems successfully. I am now 62, still active, and want to continue to be physically strong, dynamic, and vibrant. Christopher is an important person/clinician in my group of hand-picked doctors who I count on to help me understand how to care for my body and live my best quality of life. Last thoughts -- Christopher has both years of experience and maintains his training in the current state-of-the-art for his field -- and this includes dry needling technique. Additionally, He has hand-picked and assembled a fantastic team of knowledgable and skilled practitioners for PT Partners that he adeptly oversees. I have seen each of his staff members at various times as a part of my ongoing care. From my first-hand experience, I can report that ALL the staff at PT Partners are top-notch.

Laura, my therapist, knows just what to do. And the office has all the equipment that's needed for a good workout. The location on S.W. Cary Parkway at High House is convenient.

Fantastic experience: THE best physical therapy anywhere! I have been getting PT with Chris Dunn since 2008 and his ability to diagnose and correct the issue is amazing. He has treated my herniated disc in my back, issues with my legs due to running, SI joint and pelvic alignment and was a game changer in helping rehabilitate my back after an accident which involved broken ribs. I recently began Pilates with Tess and have found that to be a significant benefit in strengthening the core muscles and improving my muscle memory. In wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone!

Fantastic experience: This review is for Physical Therapy Partners, formerly Dunn Physical Therapy who was purchased by Breakthrough Physical Therapy. My Orthopedic Physician prescribed PT for a painful Sciatica nerve issue radiating from the thigh down through the calf that I had been living with for a year or more. After 2 sessions per week for 4 weeks and 3 weeks of single sessions, the pain is gone! I was extremely impressed with the hands on, one and one, approach including dry needling, heat, vibration and exercise. Dr. Christopher Dunn explained each task and exercise along with those to do at home. A very logical and scientific approach achieving complete success. I recommend Physical Therapy Partners beyond exception. Very professional, knowledgeable, and personable group.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Tess Dunn and Physical Therapy Partners (formerly Dunn PT, bought out by Break Through PT) began about 14 years ago. Tess has treated me for sprained ankles to back pain to a very serious nerve issues with my arm. I only trust her to guide me through the process of healing and learning how best to take care of my injuries. She is an expert on the latest treatment techniques, including but not limited to, dry needling which was so helpful for a persistent issue I had. She is one of the few physical therapists that still uses manual treatment as well. Her impact on my life has been much more than physical therapy treatment. She introduced me to Pilates and I now practice as often as possible; it’s been life changing. After 14 years, she has become a dear friend to me in countless ways. I can’t recommend Tess and Christopher Dunn enough. They also have a great team of Physical Therapists and a wonderful Massage Therapist that I see as often as possible. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. I am so thankful they have re-established their practice back in Cary. Fantastic experience: The team at Physical Therapy Partners are skilled in their field and take a holistic approach on recovery. I started seeing Tess Dunn in the fall of 2020 due to 4-5 years of hip pain starting in my mid 20s. I had previously gone to a PT in a large healthcare system, was given a handful of exercises and was told there was no need for a repeat visit. A friend recommended Physical Therapy Partners. On the first visit Tess could tell I was off center, pointed out my foot, hips and shoulder were going in different directions and explained what it was going to take work to undo years of my body compensating (likely from an old injury). Tess discovered my my hip pain was coming from my shoulder and neck and so Tess worked to loosen and re-strengthen my core and left side. Tess took a multi-disciple approach in the recovery such as deep tissue massages, core strengthening using pilates reformer and endurance cadillac/trapeze, dry needling and coordinated with Robin, the massage therapist in house to target certain muscles. I was provided daily exercises that required minimum equipment at home. Completing the daily exercises was key to faster recovery. After a handful of months, I have pain free days! When I do have pain, the exercises provided alleviate or remove the pain. I am still in the strengthening process, but prior to working with Tess I thought I was young to be stuck with daily hip/back pain with no end in sight. I've also had the pleasure of being seen by other therapist on the office if Tess is unavailable. I appreciate from therapist to therapist the same level of care and attention is provided. They are a great and highly qualified team! I also appreciate information on the mental aspect of recovery, diet, exercise and sleep has also been provided noting that many factors contribute to the healing process. If you're looking for a PT any of their team is a pleasure to work with!

Fantastic experience: The Dunn's has been helping me for the past two years. There's no doubt that they are the best physical therapist that I've ever came across and I have been recommending them to my friends without any hesitation. Even though I am generally healthy, I do come across back pains and joint injury due to daily work and workouts. I love the fact that the Dunn's would start with a thorough evaluation of your problem, giving you a reasonable expectation of the recovery time, so that you don't go back and injure yourself again before you can take on the regular workout. What's even better is that they give you recommendations on some simple stretches and postures that you can work on daily to help and maintain your muscle health. It is interesting that the Dunn's often point out that my muscle problem can be from problem of a remote area. I enjoy the interactions with them and they are always gentle, caring and trustworthy. It has been a relaxed and renewing experience working with them towards a healthier me.
