Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Pivot PT Cary. My PTs were Katrina and Carlos and they were both wonderful, supportive, encouraging, and friendly. I saw quick results and feel empowered to keep going with my routines even after my sessions ended.

Negative experience: -1*...and they know why. Not an ideal place for rehab. You're just a number.

Fantastic experience: I have been dealing with patellar tendinopathy for over a year. I am finally starting to see the other side. I cannot recommend Pivot Physical Therapy enough. Go here. What I tried prior to Pivot: 1) Physical pherapy (a different practice in another state) 2) Surgery (percutaneous tenotomy + PRP injection) 3) Post surgery physical therapy (a different different practice) When I called Pivot, I was really starting to lose hope in the possibility of rehabilitating my tendon. At this point, I was reading literature on my own. Before scheduling an appointment, I decided to call Pivot to ask about their approach to tendinopathy. A real and friendly person answered the phone (not an answering machine). She arranged for the clinic director to personally speak with me over the phone to address my questions! I have had to deal with fairly noncommunicative doctors and physical therapists in the past. At Pivot, I never felt ignored. I could actually discuss with my therapists the principles behind their methodologies, and they would be more than happy to share. I even sent them a research article I was keen on (I'm sure it only annoyed them a little haha). I'll admit that I was at first hesitant about Pivot, only because it is part a larger chain. I was worried that treatment would be very formulaic and performed by an army of physical therapy assistants. Well, Pivot has no physical therapy assistants, and, while part of a larger chain, the therapists really strive to develop good relationships with their clients. Some people jump around between the five or so therapists there, but you can always keep the same one as long as you schedule in advance. Even so, the therapists actually communicate observations about the patient, should that patient juggle between those therapists. It's not like the therapists just hand each other a slip of paper with sloppy notes that say "have them do these exercises". As far as treatment goes, Pivot was the first place to look at my knee pain from an integrated standpoint. They noticed deficiencies in the kinetic chain surrounding my knee, each of which likely contributed to my knee pain. They addressed both flexibility and strength issues. Looking back, my other physical therapy practices focused on only small parts of the puzzle, not all relevant factors. I am finally able to start playing sports again. May I remind you, it's been OVER A YEAR. It's all thanks to the amazing people of Pivot. I am eternally grateful to this place. If you need physical therapy, go here.

They are supportive, caring, helpful, challenging, and "present" every time you go for physical therapy or on the phone after you leave. The office staff are fantastic. They are very helpful and caring. I would definitely recommend Pivot Physical Therapy for those who are in need. They absolutely helped me and are there if I ever need them again. Fantastic experience: I agree with the other rave reviews of Pivot Physical Therapy. Their knowledge, expertise and kindness are amazing. They helped me recover entirely from rotator cuff surgery (no easy task), from a bicycle wreck, and more recently they probably helped me avoid a shoulder joint replacement (also related to a bicycle wreck).

Fantastic experience: Owen Quirk, DPT, is a superb physical therapist. I have treated with him on four separate occasions for different injuries and he has always managed to get the situation under control in short order. He has, in fact, spared me from having surgery on every occasion. I highly recommend Owen to any motivated individual looking to get better with conservative management. He does not disappoint.

Negative experience: I am very disappointed with how they treat people. I’m a Hispanic and they treated me different than a American person. When they called me to make an appointment I told her how I felt and she ignored me from what I said and kept asking me if i was going to make the appointment and I said no. I don’t have a good experience there.

Fantastic experience: Bryerly has helped me so much with my knee .I was sure that it would require surgery, but her exercises and advice were very good, and after a few weeks I am able to walk normally. Everyone there is very good, and the administrative staff is excellent. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Lauren and Ben at Pivot PT for the past few months for a rotator cuff injury and have been extremely impressed with the care I have received. I had been at another PT for ~1 month before switching, and had seen fairly minimal improvement in pain/function. Once I switched to Pivot with Ben and Lauren, I noticed considerable improvement in both. They are both highly qualified and experienced. They are very personable and seem to genuinely care about my recovery; they are easy to talk to and listen to what I say. I tend to have a lot of questions, but both always take the time to answer all of my questions and explain things to me (and seem to be happy to do so). The exercises have been very personalized to my needs (often targeting specific problem areas I have mentioned), and more importantly they have worked. My baseline activity level (exercise) was fairly high (with strength- and gymnastics-based activities); Ben and Lauren worked with me so I was able to continue exercising with my injury (with modifications to ensure I was not doing anything to slow my recovery). They have continued to work with me to get me back to my baseline (rather than discharging me once I was back to “normal” on my day-to-day activities). I truly appreciate the individualized care, and can attest that it works. Ben does dry needling, which I was very nervous to try (not a fan of needles) but he was sure to explain what to expect at the beginning and remains very calm throughout. Beyond his calm demeanor, he is very skilled at dry needling; I had significant improvement in pain within 2 days after first session. I have had dry needling from a different PT, and it was a completely different experience (more pain during + no pain relief after). Ben is very good at what he does. I would highly recommend Lauren and Ben at Pivot PT to anyone looking for a PT (with no reservations)!

Fantastic experience: Started today and they were wonderful.

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my PCP for of all things, vertigo! The physical therapist I saw, Lauren, diagnosed me with "lack of coordination!" Not surprising as I have been a clutz all of my life. I couldn't however figure out how that pertained to my new, post spinal surgery vertigo. Lauren had me do some excersises and gave me a print out of excersises to do at home. She also did some trigger point massage on my upper traps which hurt so good. It wasn't until a couple of days after the therapy session that I realized my vertigo was GONE!! I had been suffering with it for almost 12 weeks, I was shocked! Obviously, Lauren knew exactly what she was doing, I am so grateful for her expertise and help. If you're in need of a physical therapist I highly recommend Pivot and most especially Lauren! One last thing however. My co-payment is $50.00. I'm on disability and could not afford to go back (the massage alone is what helped and I wanted to go back for more.) The front desk recommended, almost insisted, that I apply for their "charity care." The form consisted of one question (YES, my income is under $30,000.) and a signature. They reduced my co-payment to $40.00. I told them I could afford to pay the ten dollars they reduced it by but $40 was still WAY out of the question. If you're going to offer a discount you should get enough information from the patient to make an informed decision. The "charity care" they offered is BS. Anyone could be approved regardless of their ability to pay.
