Fantastic experience: Liz was recommended by a friend, so I already expected a competent physical therapist. Liz turned out to be so much more. She instantly demonstrated her dedication and focus on helping us achieve our goals in a very authentic way. Liz came to our appointment prepared and ready to work with my child athlete. She did not waste a minute of our time together. Her PT technical skills/knowledge (and her ability to listen carefully) are off the charts - yet she communicated her assessment and recommendations clearly and personably. Liz's response time and thorough follow up are also impeccable. She genuinely cares about patients and has quickly established her value as an essential partner to us in our healthcare journey.

Fantastic experience: If I could give more stars, I would. Liz is exceptional in the field of physical therapy. She takes time to listen to not only what is said but how the body reacts. She helped me recover from a total knee replacement last fall. Recently asked for her input on how to handle the pain in my back. She made time for me, addressed my pain, and handled me with professional expertise. 110% recommend!

Fantastic experience: Liz is absolutely incredible. She quickly found what was bothering me, offered some great solutions, and had me feeling better from after my first session with needling and home exercises. She also has a holistic view and caught other problems that she could give me exercises for. I would highly recommend going to Liz for your PT needs!

Fantastic experience: I started seeing Liz about 3 years post mastectomy and reconstruction. My range of motion was limited, I was trying to avoid lymphedema, and needed to find my strength. It was very important for me to feel comfortable with someone and Liz has been a tremendous help. She utilizes many tools to assist me in reaching my goals: dry needling, cupping, massage, and a variety of stretching and strength training exercises. With a diagnosis of MCTD, it is very important for me to know how certain exercises and weights will effect my joints. Most importantly, Liz has showed me diagrams from text books to illustrate muscles/connective tissue/nerves, etc. in order to visualize the area we're working on, or the place I need to focus on. She has absolutely improved everything I've struggled with over the last 4+ years. With the knowledge she has, the information she shares, and her incredibly upbeat personality, I think she deserves more than 5 stars!

Fantastic experience: I'm in my early 30s and have had lingering issues for years from a decade-old snowboarding injury that I stupidly decided to "just walk off" and not get treated properly at the time. It's caused me a variety of chronic pain and tightness on one side of my neck, shoulder, back, and hip - enough to affect my ability to sleep and be comfortable sitting or standing during the day. I've seen several other physical therapists over the years and was never able to make any significant, sustained improvements until I started seeing Dr. Waddell. She was the first physical therapist to understand my situation in enough detail and work with me closely enough to really help me. She is a fantastic listener and excellent communicator with expertise and experience across all kinds of treatment methods and techniques. I really benefitted from her holistic approach and open-minded and flexible style, which made for truly personalized care for me. I worked with her regularly for about two years before moving away and saw steady improvements in my energy, strength, flexibility, and chronic soreness that have been here to stay. I'm sleeping better, my posture is better, I'm able to stay comfortable sitting and standing and work out without locking up and aching.

Fantastic experience: Khushboo Patel at Art of Movement is simply the best physical therapist I've ever had, in a decade of dealing with back issues. The level of personal attention and time I got was completely different from most PT sessions where they juggle multiple clients. Her emphasis on breathing was transformative, I improved in strength, flexibility and pain levels over the period of the sessions, and I finished with a new understanding of what I needed to do going forward, and why. She is also a lovely person! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of working with Dr Kay ( my name for her ) I suffered from extreme upper back muscle tension / knots to the extent that I lacked full range of motion. I was blessed to cross paths with Dr Kay via fb ~ The Downtown Cary’s Women Group and that’s where my experience began with Dry needling , deep tissue work, and exercises specifically for my issues. I HATE needles to which I expressed to Dr Kay during my consult, she ensured me I had nothing to be fearful of on top of fully educating me how dry needling works. Long and behold Dr Kay wasn’t lying , I never felt any of them go in AND when I informed her I was ready to go more “aggressive “ still NO pain , yes you will feel something but the feeling is a good release ( best way I can describe it) oh let me not forget 1 session I almost canceled due to a hormonal migraine but I took the advise of Dr Kay and allowed her to Dry needle my neck region , it WORKED! Besides Dr Kay being extremely knowledgeable and professional she’s passionate and truly cares about her clients , she listens without judgment, she accesses everything you tell her. Dr Kay wont treat you like a patient which is another amazing quality about her , she forms real bonds and friendships which to me is super important for it makes it easier and more comfortable to talk about your problematic areas. If you haven’t had the luxury of working with this kind loving soul I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU DO OR AT LEAST TRY ONE VISIT WITH HER .

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Art of Movement PT enough! Liz and her team are amazing to work with. I always feel so comfortable discussing pain, increasing mobility, and just everyday health recommendations. If you have trouble connecting with healthcare providers, you may be surprised with this team. They really take a personalized approach to your care with the utmost professionalism. Quick responses to all communications and a free consultation kicks off a great experience with them. They focus on my goals, ask relevant questions, offer multiple solutions, and really break down the work we do with excersizes I can continue on my own. I also appreciate their flexibile appointment times and virtual options as well. I found Liz through our mutual interest in aerial dance but she has a wide background of fitness and clinical experience so any athlete could benefit from working with her team.

Fantastic experience: Liz has helped me work towards some challenging goals, and is always willing and eager to help figure out any problems/issues that come up along the way. Not only is she thorough in how she addresses things, she makes it a joy to work with her!

Fantastic experience: I went to see Dr. Waddell about "tennis elbow" and she ended up working with me on some other areas as well, like my neck. I really appreciated the exercises and stretching routines she suggested, as well as tips like a new mouse to ease my forearm strain. I also appreciate going to a small practice, with the personal attention that brings. Highly recommend!

Thank you Trisha! It’s all connected, right! I appreciate you taking the time to let me know about your experience working with me.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Liz does a great job with all of my physical therapy needs. I worked with her back in 2016 to help with recovery from hip replacement surgery. I have recently worked with her to help with increasing my flexibility in my legs. She gives clear explanations and great exercises to help you reach for fitness and recovery goals. I highly recommend her!

Fantastic experience: Liz Waddell is one of the best physical therapists that I have had the pleasure of working with. She is passionate about her work and in helping others to feel better in their bodies. Liz is consistently increasing her knowledge through continuing education and this is something that I really appreciate in a healthcare provider. I live 4 hours away from Liz and I make every attempt to work with her as often as possible because she is that good! I am a complex case in regards to my health issues and I really value how much time and effort Liz puts in to help me feel better. Thank you Liz and Art of Movement for all that you do!

Fantastic experience: I went to Liz with a debilitating condition of vertigo. She was amazing! She was so patient with me, and she guided me throughout the session, as this was definitely the first time I'd gone through this process. Go. See. Liz!

Fantastic experience: Liz is a very knowledgeable PT who has helped me many times with both acute injuries and long-term issues (I bike thousands of miles a year, so there's lots of them). When she works on you, you learn a lot about how to think about injury and the real causes of your pain. She methodically will eliminate causes until she really gets a deep understanding of what is going on. She then treats that and gives you very targeted exercises you can do, always sensitive to making sure you have adaptations you can use if the pain is too great on a particular day. I find the things I learn about how to be aware of my movements and their effects just as valuable as the hands on treatment.

Fantastic experience: I have seen Liz a couple of times over the last 6 months. She is exceptional in listening to what you need as well as finding what your body needs to help it perform and heal whether it is dry needling, cupping or hands on work. It helps that for me she is at the gym I go to as well as a member because sometimes you don't realize that you moving in a wrong pattern even though it feel right she has been able to pinpoint asymmetry in my shoulders when going ng overhead in lifts and help bring back a sense of symmetry. Overall always a good experience and would recommend 10/10 to anyone looking for an awesome PT.

Fantastic experience: There are a few things/people in life that wake you up Liz Adora Waddell is one of them, I have known her for a couple of years now, I have admired her movement as an aerialist for a long time. AND a little over a year ago I learned that she is a physio therapist too. The combination of an active aerialist athlete and the science of PT is so rare and mix in the aspect of pole dance as your chosen/sport/activity Her skill is priceless. I have had PT before where my choice as a pole dancer was lets say not received very well ....well Art of Movement is where you will find all your answers to pain/discomfort AND learn a lot about your body and how to use and NOT use it. I had a session with Liz Adora Waddell a year ago and had one recently WOWEE WOW WOW... I had no idea i was tight in places that I had no idea existed. Very thorough in her knowledge, consistently works on gaining more knowledge to help athletes /performers AND sparkle in her eye about THINGS that need to be fixed in your body is just magic . Thank you for all the fixes and making me understand my shoulders thank you for helping me loosen up cant wait to have another session with you <3

Fantastic experience: After years of active movement and stress on my body, plus far too much desk-work time, I was at a point where I didn’t even remember what it felt like to be pain free. I’d lost track of what body parts had been injured and couldn’t tell you what was in pain because I’d found myself desensitized to it all. Finally, when it started affecting my productivity and everyday functionality, I reached out to Liz and made a promise to myself to see her regularly for no less than four sessions. I was just hoping to build my way to some small improvement, but I was amazed from the very start at what we uncovered and accomplished. Let me be clear - even with the best (which I believe Liz is), real physical improvement requires an investment of energy outside of the PT sessions to be effective. Still, Liz is exceptional at not only offering immediate relief from pain, but at giving you every tool you need for long term success. She works beyond the immediate pain and uncovers the chain of underlying weak points that create that overarching stress. I’m so grateful to move forward towards a healthy, happy, strong body!

Fantastic experience: Liz does exceptional work. She can find the root of your problem rather than just treat the surface, and she can help you find ways to continue or resume your activities and meet your goals. Her work and exercise instructions are thorough, and she listens and finds alternatives when something isn't working, which is important to a hypermobile person. I can't say enough about Art of Movement!

Fantastic experience: I have so many past injuries from MMA that I’ve be holding on to cause I never went to the “doctor” or PT to get it resolved. I honestly was settled on, I’m going to have these issues for the rest of my life. Then Liz came into my life and changed my world. I think she’s a magician. The way she’s very detailed when explaining why something is and what other issues you have because of one specific issue. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Best PT in the world.

Thanks Oliver! So glad you’re moving better and finally getting over those injuries.

Fantastic experience: I have funky joints due to a genetic issue, and Liz treats my whole body, not just whatever part is hurting the worst. She takes the time to dig in, find the problem, then allllll the related problems, and fixes it all. I wouldn't be pain-free and active without her. The extra time you get at Art of Movement is so necessary to getting everything addressed thoroughly.

Fantastic experience: Liz at Art of Movement Physical Therapy provides top-notch physical therapy for athletes. I am an avid runner and a pole fitness competitor, and Liz has helped me to improve my mobility and reduce pain on several occasions in my back, shoulders and hips. Her physical therapy sessions are very personalized and her extensive knowledge of the right techniques and exercises to improve trouble spots is outstanding. I highly recommend Art of Movement Physical Therapy.

Fantastic experience: As a professional acrobat, it is incredibly difficult to find a provider that has the depth of knowledge required to treat the movement dysfunction and injuries I have effectively. Rather than treat a symptom, Liz uses a multi-faceted approach in her assessments and her treatments. Her knowledge and ability is above and beyond many other providers I have seen, so much so that I am willing to drive from another state for my appointments. I am truly thankful to have found a PT that is willing to invest in fully understanding my body and helping me to achieve my goals. Whether you’re a professional athlete or just dealing with some ‘everyday’ pain, highly recommend Art of Movement Physical Therapy.
