After a serious accident, Kathleen was admitted to the hospital. She was was severely injured with several broken bones that required surgery. Post-surgery, Kathleen was unable to walk or transfer and was in need of rehabilitation and nursing care before returning home.

Kathleen, 74, lives on her own and gardens extensively. She required physical and occupational therapy to help get her strong enough to transfer and walk on her own. She was in severe pain and had surgical incisions that required care.

At the center, the interdisciplinary team created a care plan to help Kathleen meet her goals. The nursing team helped Kathleen manager her pain and taught her about caring for her incisions. The therapy team helped Kathleen work on strengthening, balance and range of motion so she would feel confident returning home. The team did a home assessment to ensure Kathleen was confident in her ability to get around on her own.

Fantastic experience: Manor Care is one of the best care homes/rehabilitation center around. This facility is very clean and organized. All staff members present themselves with professionalism. With some of my family members admitted there in the past and present I always find that the nurses treat their patients with love and tenderness. The administration is very knowledgeable and they take extra steps to make sure each family rests assured that their loved ones are in good hands!!

Fantastic experience: I would like to take an opportunity to thank Manor Care for an awesome job. I cannot express enough in words how amazing the management/ staff have been in making a transition for my mom so much easier for me. What I was thinking of as a long process at my end, ended up being no problem at all. Thank you every member involved for doing this for me. The cleanliness, friendliness of this place is beyond what I was expecting of any Care Home, we don’t usually hear good things. But this place outshines everyone. I know for sure my moms in the best of care, best place with an awesome team. Do not think twice about this place. This is where and how you want your loved ones to be. Thank you once again Manor Care. You guy Rock! Awesome ????

Fantastic experience: I would like to express my gratitude to some of the employees at ManorCare Health Services-Citrus Heights, especially to Mel, Joy, Lisa, Maria, Mari, Damon, who have been very kind, caring, helpful and professional. Their assistance are highly appreciated. They are are angels. We thank them for assisting our father while staying at ManorCare. Unfortunately, there are some employees that are, on contrary, who have attitudes and are reluctant to help and assist with our patient. There is one particular, , who behaves strangely and does not want to talk to you and seems she is mad all the time. Thank you.
