Osteoarthritis of the knee is considered to be the most common degenerative joint disease and finally ends up in a total knee replacement. Pain relief, restoration of a passive knee stability and improvement of functional ability are the primary goals of arthroplasties. But at the surgeons' closing, the patient for the present has just a knee "ready to function". Making the new joint function and recovering quality of life are the major outcome criteria for the rehabilitation process.
After total knee arthroplasty, the neuromuscular system undergoes various adaptations during gait and other activities. Because of this, rehabilitation should not attempt to achieve hypothetical norms, but to help the patient in the motor learning process of acquiring improved motion patterns and stabilization strategies.
We are ready to help you with our advanced functional rehabilitation (IFR) program to improve your motion patterns and increase passive and active knee stability to help restore the quality of life related to your functional activities of daily living and recreational activities.

In Home Physical Therapy Service: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Dr. Mahmoud was great! I feel my strength and mobility improving! I recommend him to anyone in need of a physical therapist. He was filled with knowledge.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Elkalyobi is a fantastic Physical Therapist and person. My mom who is 97 fell about four weeks ago and couldn't get up or walk by herself. Her doctor recommended Dr. Elkalyobi to get her back walking on her own again. Within four weeks of him coming to the house, three times a week she is standing and walking again all by herself. Incredible difference from a month ago! If someone is in need of a Physical Therapist, I would highly recommend Dr. Elkalyobi for their needs. Gloria M.
Fantastic experience: I have had severe back and leg pain for many years which also affected my walking. I have seen other physical therapists in the past who have not made much difference. Dr Mahmoud came into my life 5weeks ago he assessed my problems and developed passive aggressive exercises tailored to my needs. After 5weeks he has made a tremendous difference in reliving my pain. He has absolutely taught me to walk properly and has left me with a series of written exercises to do so i don't regress. I would recommend Dr Mahmoud to anyone that might need his help.
Fantastic experience: I have been Dr. Mahmoud for the past 5 weeks. I was suffering from severe low back pain. I had total weakness of my entire core with inappropriate posture and inability to walk properly. My balance was also severely compromised. After Dr. Mahmoud’s treatment which included myofascial release treatments and the gradual addition of strengthening exercises he added to his in home sessions. I have had tremendous improvement of my walking abilities, balance, and core strength. I have also decreased 1/2 size on my waist and lost 10 pounds without a change in my diet. It is important to understand that as a medical doctor I am in a position to state with professional certainty that Dr. Mahmoud has provided my with the best physical therapy I have ever had. It is also important to know that prior to dealing with Dr. Mahmoud I have seen many other therapists as I’ve had back hip and Achilles’ tendon issues since the mid 1970’s. I would strongly recommend Dr. Mahmoud to anyone in need of a physical therapist. Salvatore A. Pace M.D.
Fantastic experience: In Home Physical Therapy saved me from despair. I had seen several doctors about the severe nerve pain in my legs that affected my ability to walk, but was so confused about what to do about it since it was suggested that I needed different types of surgery. Dr. Mahmoud was the only Doctor who looked at the whole picture. He analyzed my problem and designed a physical therapy treatment that has me walking well again, and the nerve pain is gone. He is compassionate and really listens to his patients and looks at the problem holistically unlike many of the doctors we see. Physical Therapy proved to be a non-invasive and effective treatment for the pinched nerves in my lumbar spine. Dr Mahmoud comes to you to do the therapy work. No special equipment is required. He teaches you the exercises and leaves you with a binder to review them so you can continue to strengthen after the PT sessions are completed. He accepts health insurance including Medicare.
