Physical Therapy Solutions is a private practice outpatient physical therapy clinic with 4 locations in Iowa. Physical Therapy Solutions was first established in Dyersville in September 2003. We then expanded to Manchester in July 2011, followed by two clinics in Dubuque in May 2020 and November 2022. Our practice consists of 10 licensed physical therapists, 4 licensed physical therapist assistants, and 4 office coordinators. Our providers are certified in Astym, LSVT BIG, Dry Needling and Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFR). All our clinics are also designated Petal Project certified, Blue Zones Project Worksite certified, and Little Free Library site locations.

As Movement Specialists, we will enhance the overall quality of life, function, health, and well-being of adults and children through treatment and education by providing evidence-based, individualized, and comprehensive physical therapy services.

Physical Therapy Solutions will be a leader in the physical therapy profession through autonomous practice. We will continue to collaborate and promote inter-disciplinary care with other healthcare providers and community members by advocating through innovation, evidence-based practice, education, research, and high quality of care.

Many patients come to physical therapy with a referral from their doctor; however, most insurance companies do not require a physician’s referral. A referral, however, is required for Medicare/Medicaid patients. Please check with Jill, our office manager, to verify if a referral is necessary for your insurance coverage.

We accept most major insurance carriers including Medicare/Medicaid, Wellmark Blue Cross & Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Hawk-I, Midlands Choice, etc. Please call the Dyersville clinic and speak with Jill to verify if we are in-network with your insurance carrier.

If you have a referral for physical therapy from your doctor, please bring that with you to your first appointment. Also, please bring your insurance card(s). You'll also want to wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing and comfortable shoes.

This is highly variable. Some patients may only need one visit, while others may need weeks of care. This depends on your diagnosis, the severity of your impairments, your past medical history, etc. You will be re-evaluated periodically; and when you see your doctor, we will provide them with a progress report with our recommendations if needed.

You will be evaluated at your first visit by one of our licensed Physical Therapists - Jason, Ted, Josiah, Rachel, Danielle, Lucas, Wes, Brad or Jordynne. In most cases, your initial PT will also treat you during subsequent visits. Shelly, Michelle or Justina, our Physical Therapist Assistants, work closely with the Physical Therapists and may provide you with treatments in conjunction with them. Unlike some clinics where you see someone different at each appointment, we feel it is very important to develop a one-on-one relationship and is our goal to maintain continuity of care to aid in your recovery time.

Fantastic experience: In my third year as a division 1 decathlete, after feeling lots of pain and discomfort with my sciatic nerve, I received the debilitating news that I would need back surgery to repair two ruptured discs in my spine. Surgeons and doctors expressed that I would likely never return to many of the physical activities I once enjoyed. About 3 months after surgery, I worked with Wes for about 12 weeks to get back into shape. Wes and I worked very hard each week, and he was very good about communication and adjusting our plan. With his help, I was back high jumping 6'5" and running 4.5 40's within four months of back surgery, and I have recently had my athletic scholarship reinstated by my coach in the event I should decide to return to athletics. Wes is a miracle worker and I couldn't express my gratitude for his help enough. I highly recommend PTS to anyone looking to truly take their rehabilitation needs to the next level.

Fantastic experience: When I tore my ACL before my college track season, I was nervous with how recovery would be. I was told to look at PTS and I am glad I did. I was able to recover and talk to Wes throughout the process with any concerns that I had. Around 9 months later, I am feeling 100% and ready to compete again. I was very happy with how everyone at PTS treated me and how the recovery process went to get me back to where I was before the injury.

Fantastic experience: Having torn my ACL in October 2022 and having surgery later that same year, I visited Physical Therapy Solutions for my doctor-ordered physical therapy. This was my first time visiting a physical therapy office and I was extremely satisfied with the service I received at PTS. My main physical therapist was Colin, who was not only knowledgeable about the injury and how to treat it, but also well versed enough to walk me through the exercises and the reason behind doing them to get my knee to full recovery. Both he and the rest of the staff were friendly, personable, and qualified. The small size of this office guarantees that you will work one-on-one with a licensed therapist. I left my last appointment feeling stronger as well as supported by everyone at PTS. Thank you Colin and everyone at PTS for your services! I will be highly recommending you to anyone who needs physical therapy in the Dubuque Area.

Fantastic experience: I appreciate everyone at Physical Therapy Solutions! From the moment you walk in the door you feel like you are working with friends to reach your health goals. Everyone is friendly and professional. Even the therapists that were not my specific therapist, took time to greet me and make me feel welcomed! I also appreciate that, over the course of the time I was in therapy, I never once had to wait. They got me started right away! I appreciate that they valued my time this way. I also noticed that the staff was diligent in cleaning each machine after every patient. Such an important element in a post COVID world. Lastly, the therapist work with patients so diligently. My therapist, Colin, worked so hard to get me on the path to recovery! He took the time to listen to my concerns and worked with me to get the right plan in place so I could succeed in my physical activity goals! I absolutely would recommend Physical Therapy Solutions for anyone...seasoned athletes as well as those who are dealing with physical challenges relating to an injury. They have the expertise to get you moving in the right direction!
