Essentia Health-Lakewalk Clinic (Duluth)

Fantastic experience: Strange to say about a medical facility, but I always look forward to, and enjoy, my appointment visits there. The building is kept very clean without the chill of sterility, and the front line staff, doctors, pharmacy, and lab are friendly and knowledgeable. There's rarely more than a five minute wait, and when there is the view from the waiting rooms is a solid wall of shaded glass facing the broad Twin Ports harbor. Nurses and prep staff are prompt and efficient, always willing to answer questions or pass them on to the doctor, arrives in the well-appointed exam rooms shortly after. I have never felt rushed, dismissed, or a bother, but instead more like a welcome return customer. I can say the same of all my interactions with lab and pharmacy, and other personnel. My doctor is one of the most attentive and interested I've ever had. During our years of treatment we've researched and devised changes that have improved my health, reducing the number of pills and treatments, and reducing many life-threatening symptoms to those of someone much younger. The data system and the monitoring of its information helps maintain my progress and allows me and anyone in the practice to read all reports and results within 24 hours. I can email my doctor, his staff, my pharmacist, or anyone who's treated me within the Essentia system. There's never been any reluctance to refer me to more specialized experts when one of us thought it might help. I rarely have to go anywhere besides this broadly-staffed clinic for my healthcare needs, and they are numerous.
