Fantastic experience: I was unsure at first due to past experiences with other physical therapy facilities. But I was extremely pleased with Desert Hand and Physical Therapy.... from the front office to each of the staff. From the very 1st day was greeted with a welcoming smile and a how are you doing today? My therapist was Christine and I absolutely love her. She listens and is genuinely interested in doing all she can do to help resolve your Physical issues. She is a wonderful Human being and it was a pleasure to have her working with me. I had 25 visits with Christine and was sad when my allotted visits were over. Rest assured even if you don't end up with Christine, ..you will still get top notch assistance from either of the other therapist there. They're all great!!! Her expertise and care are exceptional, she is attentive and very respectful when working on your hand, announcing every time what she will do next. Fantastic experience: I needed some therapy for a CMC joint , thumb, right hand. We were going to winter in Arizona so I looked for a therapist here and found Desert Hand and Physical Therapy. The ladies upfront, Barb and Gina were wonderful at finding appointments, helping with the referral process, checking in etc. So kind and professional. All of the staff in the therapy department were knowledgeable, considerate and efficient. I have seen improvement in the use of my thumb and appreciate their thoroughness and push to get rid of the stiffness and ‘uselessness’ of my thumb

Fantastic experience: Went here after my cmc joint operation on my left thumb. Staff up front was awesome with my scheduling and billing. The Therapist were all great. Each awesome in there own way. Alex, Shad, and Ana are very attentive and great at explaining the exercises and areas of improvement needed for full mobility. My main therapist is Alex and she is a gem. Barb the tech is great at prepping you once you arrive and her caring personality is unlike no other. You can tell their patients love them. I actually love going to my sessions.

Fantastic experience: Upon walking in for my first appointment, I almost immediately found myself in the throws of a panic attack. Shad Bennett was just absolutely phenomenal. He treated me with respect, compassion, and the patience I needed. The level of care he provides allowed me to get past my initial anxiety, and I now look forward to my appointments. I honestly feel he has made a huge difference in my recovery. He is liked and respected by both coworkers and patients. I'm beyond grateful for all the phenomenal care he routinely provides.

Fantastic experience: I had severe trauma to my hand from a blast injury and the staff at DHPT was fantastic. I found them to be knowledgeable, experienced and very accommodating. My therapist was excellent and she formulated a dynamic and effective strategy for getting my hand back in to a functional status. I owe her, and the staff there, an immense debt of gratitude.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was very kind and professional. Shad was able to figure out what was causing the arm issue and put a plan together to fix it. All my questions were answered along the process. There is a great team environment during therapy. I would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Very impressed with my experience so far at this facility. My range of motion in my injured fingers has improved drastically, and the staff is always patient, gentle, and have great attitudes. I was dreading beginning PT after my injury, but all of the other patients seemed happy to be there, which put me at ease. Barb at the front desk patiently sat and filled out all of my paperwork for me, since my dominant hand was the one injured. Everyone genuinely seems to care how you're doing, even outside of your PT. 10/10, would highly recommend getting your fingers chewed off by a chain and sprocket and getting your physical therapy at Desert Hand.

Fantastic experience: I just realized that I should have posted a review years ago, but better late than never. I had a very bad motorcycle accident in March 2015. I started my therapy sessions Chandler DHT location with virtually no right hand movement and very little movement all the way up to the shoulder. I'll neverr be able to properly say thank you the countless hours that the DHT staff spent working with/on me. It truly felt like I gained a new family as I was lucky enough to have a wide variety of Therapists and Therapy Assistants willing to work as a team helping me to make progress and regain some movement and strength in my arm and hand. My journey of continuing small gains continued for about 3.5 years. The DHT staff, nor I, gave up. My recovery was not full, but I was taught how to make the most of the gains we were able to produce. I'll never be able to thank everyone at DHT who lent their knowledge an time to help me. I would be remiss if I didn't say 'Thanks' to Richard, Desarae, Adam and Amy for taking the point positions in my recovery. I highly recommend DHT..

Fantastic experience: The patient at Desert Hand Therapy was not Jim Chamness; it was Sandra Chamness. We share a Google account. I wanted to document the expert and kind treatment I received from the staff at the Chandler location for the past several months as I was regaining the use of my left hand/wrist. My therapist was Shad Bennett and I cannot say enough about his caring attitude as he was helping me recover from a badly broken wrist. He made the journey to a functional wrist a very positive experience! I felt that my recovery was due to his diligence and expertise as he directed me regarding home exercises as well as those in the clinic. Fantastic experience: Very professional and very knowledgeable of what they are doing. The staff is kind and fast. My therapist, Shad, got my wrist back to nearly 100% in about a month or so. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: After a disagreement with an air conditioner condenser fan that just shredded my dominant hand, shattered the 5th metacarpal bone and shredded the 3 tendons for middle finger to pinky finger, I knew I wanted to find a physical therapist that specializes in hands to help with my rehabilitation. I live outside of the metro area and there are therapists closer to home, but they deal more often with therapies after hip and knee replacement surgeries. I chose this location because they specialize in hands and they were relatively close (think 50ish miles) from where I live. I was assigned to the therapist Richard, and I certainly benefitted from his 30 +/- years experience as a therapist specializing in hands. With persistence and his guidance I've recovered about 95 percent use of my hand again. I'm no longer in therapy there, but I am still using the guidance that he provided to increase the range of motion in my hand. A great thank you to all of the therapists, assistants, interns, and front staff for making the experience what it was.

Fantastic experience: I had a wrist ulnocarpal abutment (ulna bone shortening)surgery done in February 2020. I started working with Matt in mid July. (Matt is also working on my shoulder) I am extremely satisfied with my progress since I changed over to Desert Hand and P.T. in July. All the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: Tara is an incredible PT. I went to her with really bad pelvic pain after 6 months postpartum. She did a few tests and was able to pinpoint exactly what the problem was. She is extremely knowledgeable and really cares about me as a patient. Kala, who works with Tara is great at what she does as well. Tara lists off a whole slew of things for Kala to do and she just jumps right in.

Fantastic experience: The therapists and staff at Desert Hand Therapy are the best! The ladies at the front desk are always kind and courteous. My therapist, Shad Bennett, demonstrated a great deal of compassion and knowledge when working with me. He always took the time to explain everything he was doing, showed detailed pictures to help explain the inner workings of my hand, and gave me many exercises I could do on my own at home to speed up my progress. The therapy technicians also did a great job and worked as a team to ensure that every patient was taken care of. The entire staff made my experience very pleasurable, and I am very grateful for everything they did to help me. My therapist, Shad, was knowedgeable and encouraging. I learned a lot from him. The clinic and treatments were well organized and efficient. Positive experience: The staff at Desert hand therapy are super friendly, helpful and fun to hang out with. They don’t even get mad at me when I yell at them across the room.
