Fantastic experience: My experience here has been nothing but positive! I came in for shoulder issues. Matt and Jess have been so helpful in getting me back to a place where I am pain free and doing all of the activities I love. Everyone in the office is friendly, knowledgeable, and treats you like family. Would definitely recommend this location!

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my podiatrist to do physical therapy for planner facitus. I wasn't sure what to expect, but Conner set my mind at ease. He is very straight forward no nonsense kinda guy, very knowledgeable, and lots of fun;makes the experience very enjoyable. My observation of the other therapists and staff is equally positive, never had any issues and always treated me with respect and a smile. I would recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I was in PT at your office for 10 weeks after ORIF surgery on my foot for a broken 5th Metatarsel. I started out in a walking boot non-weight bearing and crutches. Recovery took me a little while, probably longer than one would expect but it was needed in my case. I'd like to thank Connor Ward and Jessica Vierke for their persistence and the ability to get me back in my shoes and walking again! You both were always positive and helped me through it all! Fantastic experience: I am a frequent flyer at physical therapy as I tend to treat my body like a toy I can just fix whenever it breaks. Foothills is the only place I will go. I have been going here off and on for about 9-10 years now. I have been treated for everything ranging from compressed/bulging discs to broken bones to terrible tennis elbow. I always make it out much faster than the docs anticipate, and I owe it all to the team here at Foothills. They focus on you as an individual patient and take the time to understand your needs and streamline the recovery. Most recently I was working with Connor and he did a fantastic job getting me back into the gym within 2 weeks of first seeing him (that is a huge deal to me). Cannot say enough good things about this place. Honestly, if you are in need of PT, please come here. I don't know about other clinics, but I don't care. Foothills will always have my business.

Fantastic experience: I just finished 8 weeks of PT here for my back and balance. My primary therapist was Connor. He set up a good program, including a home program, for me considering my goals and my age. He was fun to work with as were the other staff members there. I highly recommend them. Glad to know they are there when I need them.

Fantastic experience: I went to Foothills for about 2 months after I broke my clavicle. Now my arm feels good as new; no pain, full range of motion. Fantastic experience: Very happy with my experience at Foothills PT. It is clean, well staffed and friendly. Conor DPT was my therapist. He was knowledgeable and encouraging. He prescribed a good variety of exercises that were challenging but not tedious. I had a good outcome and would happily return if necessary.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Foothills for about 6 weeks now for back pain. I did try another physical therapy place briefly before but feel more comfortable at Foothills. Connor and all the staff have been very friendly and helpful. They make physical therapy as enjoyable as it can be. I genuinely feel like they care about you getting better and push you when needed. They are very organized and all of my equipment is ready and set up for me before I even get there so I can start right away. I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: This place was great. After tearing a muscle in my calf, this was my first experience with any type of physical therapy. The staff members here were amazing - each one of them. The front desk is awesome and so very friendly. Ben did wonders with my calf, had suggestions on what to do at home, and made sure I was progressing. I worked with maybe 4-5 other individuals during my time there and each were wonderful, and everyone is relaxed and funny (yet still professional). Highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: Went here with a minor rotator cuff injury I got while training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Matt Shultz and the team got my shoulder strengthened and healed and had my range of motion massively improved inside of a month! Couldn’t be happier.

Negative experience: Billing department is impossible to get answers out of. I have called numerous times and left messages, emails and nobody will every get back to me. Maybe if I write a bad review they will respond Update: It worked, they finally called me back. After reviewing the bill, they are charging about $400 for each hour of PT for a teenager. Wish I would have know that before I picked them. They did good, but $400 a hour is pretty crazy to me.

Fantastic experience: My mother has been here several times and insisted I see Matt Schultz when I needed PT following a total knee replacement. I had my first one done in April 2023 and did not hesitate to return for my second on in December 2023. Matt is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also makes PT fun with his engaging style and the stories he tells while he is working on you. He is also a huge basketball fan so if you are around for basketball season you will hear his passion come through. He definitely pushed my limits, but because of it I got the maximum mobility and my knees feel great! Matt not only works with patients but also manages this facility and his leadership is evident as you watch him throughout the day. He is always watching everything going on in the clinic and doesn’t hesitate to correct a technique or make a suggestion to ensure the patients are receiving the optimal care. His style with patients and his team is approach from a place of caring and always appears to come across as delivered in the interest of learning and growth and never as a reprimand. I can’t say enough great things about Matt and his team of experts, and do not hesitate to recommend them to anyone I know who is looking for PT. As a side note, I observed Rebecca perform miracles on patients with vertigo a few times and if I EVER experience vertigo, I am going to see her!

Taylor the physical therapist was an absolute magician in his craft. His approach combining dry needling, massage, along with tailored stretches and exercises was a game-changer. Not only did they address the immediate pain, but they also provided me with a comprehensive plan for sustained recovery. Fantastic experience: I had an auto accident that caused a neck injury. I went to the south Gilbert Foothills Sports medicine for physical therapy. The staff is caring and extremely knowledgeable. They are highly trained and I didn’t meet one tech that didn’t love their job. They are all careful to listen to you and mindful of your pain. I never had to wait. I loved that the staff makes an effort to really get to know you and remember from one week to the next the things you have talked about on previous occasions. The director is personally involved in every case and make a point of getting to know each patient. I would definitely return!

Fantastic experience: My experience at the South Gilbert location of Foothills Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy has been nothing short of incredible. Within days prior to having my total knee replacement, I had not arranged for my physical therapy. One phone call with Erica at Foothills and I was scheduled for the next two weeks of appointments. She was friendly and professional and assured me that I would be in good hands. She was right. Three days after my surgery, I began my therapy with Matt, the Clinic Director. Matt is well qualified as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, but equally important is his professionalism and communication. He has high expectations but is gentle in his approach. He has set the tone for the facility: all personnel are approachable and hard-working. They are all willing to answer questions and provide guidance. Physical therapy after a total knee replacement is no joke. However, the staff at Foothills makes me look forward to my sessions and I feel stronger when I leave. Thanks guys for making my recovery such a positive experience!

Fantastic experience: Rotator Cuff Tear I injured myself bench pressing and that had me struggling with many different things. I was struggling to swing a baseball bat, hold a gallon of milk, wash my hair, and to do pushups. My time at this physical therapy was not wasted and I am cleared now. My main physical therapist improved my range of motion first with needles that he research on his own time. Sure enough, my range of motion was back to normal. We later got the strength back up, and know I have a normal shoulder and ready to start exercising again.

Fantastic experience: Foothills is the best therapy place in the valley. They have been helping me with my neck pain and headaches with dry needling and exercise. Matt Schultz does this procedure and he’s excellent at it. I worked for me by bringing my pain level down. It’s amazing! The team is great and very helpful and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Shoulder Instability Wow, I love this place. I showed up to this location some time ago and it’s been something I been looking forward to everyday. What they have me do is fun and works at the same time. The staff there are also amazing. When I first started, I couldn’t swing a bat, throw, exercise, or enjoy normal day to day activities. With the help of their professional skill, I am now able to enjoy everything I used to be able too. I just finished my physical therapy there and all I have to say that it is by far the best physical therapy I’ve been too. Do I recommend it? Absolutely, 100%. My shoulder instability used to be something that used to irritate me and now it is nonexistent. To the whole staff, thank you for helping me overcome this instability!!!

Fantastic experience: This facility treated me great: the office people were polite, patient with me, and nice. The therapists that treated me seemed very dedicated and knowledgeable, plus gave me the impression of honest care. I had lower back pain which improved greatly. I am currently back increasing my running and other activities.

Fantastic experience: Extremely well managed therapy facility. Matt has a great team of therapists that are dedicated to helping people get better. They have a comfortable interaction among themselves and provide a friendly upbeat environment for patients to focus on their healing. They diligently followed my doctor’s prescription for recovery from a shoulder replacement and the results were astonishing. I recommend them highly.

Positive experience: The physical therapists are amazing and really were very helpful with my son's injury. We were very impressed with their knowledge and ability to teach my son exercises that not only helped his injury but improved him as an athlete. I unfortunately have to give them 3 stars for their front office and billing staff. While they are very nice, they failed to check my insurance appropriately and told me I only had a $25 co-pay per visit. That didn't seem unreasonable so my son attended 6 weeks of therapy. Then a month after he finishes I get a bill stating my insurance doesn't do copays and I have to pay the fee until I meet my deductible telling me I owe another $485. Had I know I would be paying this much I don't think we would have continued only because the fee is too high for our family. I tried discussing this with billing and they just passed me back and forth and gave me no answers. I have tried calling back multiple times and nothing. Its really a shame as I relied on them to check my insurance and provide me the correct fees per session. For future I know now to just call my insurance and ask myself.

Negative experience: While everyone at this location was extremely nice, I would not recommend this place. Being nice doesn’t get you the physical therapy attention you need. All they did was get me behind on my physical therapy. After only a couple of visits I felt something wasn’t right because the exercises they had me do were so simple and I felt like a waste of time. After a couple of more visits of the same thing each time, nothing ever progressed, I decided it was time to try another location and get another opinion. The two places were night and day difference. I discovered that with each injury, the therapy a person receives should be focused to them individually and what they need, rather than using the same exercises and techniques on everyone. Because I didn’t receive what I should have been receiving from the beginning, my muscles were not where they should have been at that point in time and the longer you wait the harder it is to get the muscles to where they need to be. Don’t waste your time on a location that apparently only cares about taking your money and treats you like a number rather than focusing on your individual needs.

Fantastic experience: I have been to this facility many times over the past 10 years due to rehab for shoulder surgery, dislocations, Achilles tendon surgery, and 2 knee surgeries. They are well educated in the practice and you can witness the ongoing training of students and more junior PT practitioners during your visits. I just finished my last session for knee surgery rehab with Matt Schultz and his staff and was able to do all the physical activities I wanted to do at 6 weeks out from surgery. The care was excellent (as always) as they took the time to understand my goals and directed the therapy activities to reach them. Also, the staff was very respectful and kind. Excellent results!

Fantastic experience: The pt's here are great they helped me with my patella tendinitis which before I came it was really bad in both of my knees. But they helped me and now they feel amazing

Fantastic experience: Loved my experience with Ben Harrison! This is my third time going through physical therapy with him and it’s never for the same injury. Why? Because he fixes it the first time. Poor guy gets new “old lady” injuries from me each time. LOL! Ben is extremely easy going, professional yet fun and genuinely cares about his clients. We’ve become friends through the process. That’s why I go back to him every time even if it means a little extra driving time to get to his clinic. It’s worth it. The rest of the staff was awesome as well. Okay. I’m going to name drop. :) Sage, Heather, Landon, Brent, Emi, Shelly and Erica. Big thank you to all of them for making every visit fun and even letting me razz them a bit. :)

Fantastic experience: Being injured and needing to go to physical therapy generally wouldn't be fun, but Foothills definitely made it as good of an experience as it could be. The highlight of being injured was meeting my pt Ben and being around everyone at Foothills, they were encouraging, welcoming, and even made it fun. I went somewhere else before going to Foothills and it was a night and day difference, the first place was not personable at all and their level of care and treatment was no where near Foothills.

Fantastic experience: All I can say is WOW!!!! I had medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction in March 2020. I started going to FSMPT and was cared for by Matt Schultz and his team of caring and excellent therapist. They worked on my knee several times a week and gave me additional exercises to do at home. They pushed me to my healing/comfort level. I was truly impressed by all I was able to do within weeks. I came in with a pirate peg leg walk and I let with the ability to ride a bike, walk with a normal gait, and no pain. I would refer all my friends and family to Matt Schultz and his team. I must say i actually miss going and seeing all the wonderful therapist.

Fantastic experience: I wholeheartedly recommend Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy for your rehabilitative needs. I’m 63 y/o who just completed my rehab for a rotator cuff repair w/ therapist Rebecca Wong. Her and her team paid attention to every detail, making sure all independent exercises were completed with the correct form and encouraging/ motivating me to meet all the goals set as I progressed to more complex routines. Scheduling was a breeze, they were able to meet my varied schedule. The facility is clean w/ impeccable attention to detail in cleaning every piece of equipment and surfaces between client use. While I hope to never have to return, if I ever need the services of a physical therapist again I will not hesitate in returning to this facility.

Fantastic experience: I have been having trouble with my hip for years and was hesitant that therapy would work. I cannot believe how much progress I made in a short period of time. Matt, Jacob and Emi are not only very knowledgeable, but more importantly, they are attentive and flexible based on my needs. Another impressive aspect is that they truly act as team and help each other out to make my visit quick but effective. The front desk was very helpful as well. Of my eight surgeries, I would say without a doubt, this is the best place I worked with.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had physical therapy for a month for a congenital defect of the hip. Rebecca implemented a plan of stretching, excercise, massage and heat therapy. Fantastic experience: I’ve been to this place twice in the past 8 months due to a leg injury. The staff here is very friendly and they all care about you and try to be involved with you as much as they can, starting conversations and asking a little bit about your personal life, just trying to get to know you. The staff is all very talented at what they do, and are great at helping you work through an injury and get healthy again. After being to two other physical therapy places before this that we’re both exceptional, I would have to say this one those both of them, in part to Matt Schultz. I can now resume all of my daily physical activities, and thanks to the staff here I might be on track to play college ball this next year, and I’m extremely grateful for that. Would definitely come back here if I was ever seriously injured and needed physical therapy again.

Fantastic experience: I've been working with the Foothills Sports Medicine team for about six weeks, and would highly recommend them to anyone recovering from any injury or ortho/soft tissue surgery. Having had the misfortune of recovering from many injuries over the past 30 years (back, shoulders, hips, hands) I've also had experiences working with several sports medicine/ physical therapy facilities. I would rate Foothills Sports Medicine (Gilbert facility) as the best. Why? Because their team is consistently knowledgeable in all facets of PT, they take the time to customize effective treatment plans that provide numerous options for paths to recovering strength, speed and flexibility. Above all, I appreciate that they LISTEN to patients and collaborate on PT efforts with them, rather than just applying "cookie cutter" treatment modalities. I am new to the Gilbert area, but I have, and will continue to recommend Foothills Sports Medicine every chance I get.

Fantastic experience: I went to Foothills for physical therapy following a hip replacement. The therapists are friendly, explain what is being done, and are effective. The therapy increased my flexibility substantially. Will work on strength after the six week mark.

Fantastic experience: In my 65 years I have had occasions that required physical therapy. I would pretty much rate them all mediocre. However Foothills Sports Medicine clearly does NOT fall into that category. Matt and Bianca are REAL professionals as well as all their highly capable associates. They really know their business (and anatomy)! The therapy routines are varied and remain challenging to the level to which one can handle without pain ***** 5 STARS all the way!!

Fantastic experience: Great staff and environment. I really felt taken care of while I was having therapy for my siatica,and tendonitis on my ankle. Matt is an awesome therapist, he really knows his stuff. If I ever needed therapy for anything, this clinic is the first place I’ll go to!

Fantastic experience: Ben and the team at Foothills Sports Medicine are excellent. They give you the time, respect and attention you need when you're already stressed out from being injured. I was even able to text message Ben in off hours for a quick update. Foothills Sports Medicine PT is kind of like having an awesome dentist - you don't like the work that's being done, but when your doc is awesome, you end up (weirdly) looking forward to the visit. Fantastic experience: Only 6 weeks out from ACL replacement and I’m ahead of the curve all because of the staff. Matt and Bianca are the best and you can’t help but succeed with them. All the techs are friendly and stay with you every step of the way. Front desk staff are patient and offer solutions and suggestions. I don’t have to deal with insurance, they take it on. I’ve been a client for 3 yrs and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I have had a great experience with my recovery/physical therapy after knee surgery at Foothills. The staff is really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They are always ready to answer you questions and they pay attention that you are doing your exercises correctly and not cheating your way through. I highly recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: This is my third time using Foothills! First time was for balance, second time was for my hands, and now I'm back after shoulder surgery. My therapist has magic hands and is making my stiff and miserable shoulder feel so much better. I can see improvement everyday. As a teacher being on your feet is a must and when you can't stand on your foot or even stretch your leg, it makes your job impossible and painful. Thanks to Matt and Bianca, I am walking again. Fantastic experience: I went to Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy for shoulder rehabilitation after an injury. Scheduling was handled with professionalism and recognition of my schedule, the Physical Therapists clearly care about the well being of their patients, and the assistants stay on top of each patient, helping in any and all ways possible. I've been able to work with one PT throughout the process, which really helps with continuity of care. Later in my recovery he recommended that we involve another PT on staff and have him work on me a couple of times to get a some additional ideas so he could continue to evolve my therapy to match my progress. I have been so pleased with my results and would recommend this facility without reservation. Kevin G is my primary PT and he's awesome. Conner R stepped in to offer some alternative ideas and he's great as well. Can't say enough good things about the entire team here. Highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: If you are in search of a place to heal...no matter your age, you can't go wrong here. Not only qualified and creative therapist but a wonderful, positive, family like atmosphere. I had almost given up on getting my movement and ability for activities back after months in the hospital this year. I've had in-patient re-hab and then in-home re-hab and very little progress. At the suggestion of my PC doctor in Tucson I gave it one more try and feel fortunate that it was Foothills PT I found on line. I now have a great deal of hope and much gratitude for this incredible organization and most especially Ben at the Gilbert location.
