Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience at this facility. I didn’t know what to expect, and my arm/shoulder was really hurting. The therapists, the assistants, and the receptionist were all so friendly and put me at ease. Believe it or not, I actually enjoyed going to PT! They were all very professional and knowledgeable, and worked so well together as a team. My arm is back to normal again and I’m so thankful I found them.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about McKenna and her skills. She helped heal my knee, hamstring and rotor cuff. Her knowledge and exercises did the trick.

Fantastic experience: This was my third round of physical therapy but first time using Modern Sports Medicine. I absolutely loved the experience. Not only was I able to achieve my goals but the overall experience at the Sunlakes office made it something I actually looked forward to. Recovering from an injury or surgery can be mentally and emotionally challenging. The team at Modern Sports Sunlakes knows that. They provide a personalized, focused and upbeat vibe that really motivates. When Lacy greets you when you walk in you feel seen. From my first session with Dr. Brown, I felt listened to. She was so focused on my goals what I wanted to be able to do. Over the course of the 8 weeks of my treatment I saw her give this same attentive care to everyone she worked with. My techs, Lawrence and Bradon were that way too. They always remembered and asked about things I was doing that I had mentioned in prior weeks (a hike, a trip, a book we talked about) sooo not impersonal. They were such a cheer team. While I did not work directly with him, I observed Dr. Kelso listening and motivating his clients with this same attention to detail - The team here is absolutely why I am coming back here for my next rehabilitation. Oh and the therapy app- beats the heck and gone out of the copy machine work sheets! Great for seniors like me (upbeat music and conversation but set at levels where you could still hear) but saw folks of all ages in for a wide range of therapy needs.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Modern Physical Therapy in Sun Lakes. Dr. McKenna Brown was my Physical Therapist. She was excellent and when I left, so did the pain I arrived with. Both of her Techs, Laurence and Brayden were great. They all work together like a well oiled machine. It was easy to tell that everyone there, including Jake PT were all good at their jobs. It was always a pleasure to be greeted by Lexi at the front desk. Needless to say I was kind of sorry I had leave but I plan on stopping by to say hello from time to time. A great group of professional and caring people.

They know every patient by name and remember the details of your care. They work together seamlessly to make sure you feel supported, confident, and prepared—both in sessions and at home. They’ve also been super flexible with my work schedule. I was nervous going in based on past PT experiences, but this team completely changed that. Highly recommend!!!!

Fantastic experience: I have been to many clinics in my life and Modern Physical Therapy in Sun Lakes is by far the best. McKenna Brown and Jake Kelso are both knowledgeable and personable. They listen to your needs and are always checking in on your progress. No cookie clutter solutions here. I got personal attention and adjustments were made to my treatment based on my progress and my desires to get back to tennis and golf. If you want a successful recovery, this is the place for you!!!!

Fantastic experience: I just completed two months of PT here and I am so very glad I walked into their doors asking for help. Jake and McKenna were so welcoming and got me going quickly. I was having very stiff hip issues and diffuse lower back pain at 69 years...enough to wake me up from sleep. I requested a hip x-ray because I didn't know if it was arthritis or fibromyalgia muscle and tendon issues. They sent me out that day and I was relieved that I didn't need a hip replacement! So we got to work with strengthening exercises, massage and dry needling. What impressed me the most about this practice is that I felt heard every step of the way. That hasn't always been the case while I battled fibromyalgia for 21 years with skeptical doctors. When I struggled with an exercise they immediately found a different method that worked the same area without mental stress. All of the assistants are awesome and I throughly enjoyed the fun banter among the staff. Lexy at the front desk is patient and always offers her ready smile. I highly recommend this practice and will go back if I experience any flare-ups.

Fantastic experience: I have just finished my therapy sessions with Modern PT. I have to say, I highly recommend this place for physical therapy. Special mention to (Dr) McKenna, my therapist, and Laurence, her assistant. Every visit they tailored a routine for me, and visit after visit had less pain. I had dry needling and it really helped. I would recommend this place for sure.

Fantastic experience: The facility is clean and well laid out. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly, yet professional. They take the time to see how you are doing each visit and explain the therapies in detail. They made the anatomy behind what they were targeting easy to understand. If you need physical therapy, this is a great choice - I know that if I have a need in the future, I’m going to them.

Fantastic experience: Helpful Magic for Sports Injuries! This place has magic! The therapists are so good that they can heal my sports injuries with immediate results. I am an amateur basketball player. I got injured last year during a game, which created knee issues and pains that lasted for three months until I visited MPT. The medical doctors went through a thorough examination and determined that the pains in the knees were not a structural problem from the knees but from the muscles. With just one single therapy treatment on the day, my pains were gone, and I was able to return to games with no issues! Last month, I had another similar injury and experienced similar symptoms. Once again, after just one PT session, the problem was solved. The therapist also provided me with training guidance to strengthen the muscles and avoid similar issues in the future. Thank you for keeping me in the game!

Fantastic experience: My wife went to visit Jake at Modern Physical Therapy. She was in extreme pain due to a neck injury, and needed help. Jake used his “Dry Needles” therapy that turned out to be nothing short of a miracle. She is now 100% pain free! Thank you Jake, you are a true professional. Ninfa Johnson.

After completing therapy, I was, and continue to be, completely pain free. Laurie was my therapist and she was fantastic! She identified the issue on my first visit. Fantastic experience: Staff is friendly, accommodating and know what they are doing. Went in 6 weeks ago and could Not move my arm, shoulder at all… 3 PRP treatments later and therapy.. I am now at 98% motion back.. The staff made my visits easy to want to be there.

Fantastic experience: My 13 year old was seen in the Sun Lakes location and we had a great experience! They were able to diagnose his knee injury with the diagnostic ultrasound and create a physical therapy program to get him back into sports! The staff was very friendly, informative and scheduling was easy!

Fantastic experience: Wonderfully caring and professional physical therapy. Heather is an amazingly knowledgeable PA-C, who takes time to hear your concerns. Aaron, Brittany, Katelyn and Todd are fabulous therapists and work miracles! Ana is the most courteous and friendly receptionist and is also great at scheduling. Everyone is so easy to work with and there’s always a lot of joy in the workplace. So glad I found them, as they made a huge difference in my back and knee problems. Awesome! Fantastic experience: I just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the Sun Lakes team. I went 3 days a week for 7 weeks for my shoulder. I told them I wanted to do everything I can to avoid getting the shot in my shoulder. And we did it! If I ever need to go to PT again this is were I’m going. I hated the clocks and touch downs but it works. I now can drive my little red Viper without any pain. I’ll miss them seeing them every week. Thank you again!

Fantastic experience: This was my first time needing physical therapy and I had a great experience - I went to their Sun Lakes location. Everyone was easy to work with and they treated me comprehensively, which I appreciated. Specifically, they did an initial, in-house ultrasound which was very convenient, and then focused on more than just the single area that was causing me pain. At my last session they provided a written home exercise program to match what I had been working on in my final sessions. They were always on time and were always professional. I would return again and would highly recommend them to anyone considering physical therapy in Chandler!

The entire staff is professional, personable, and most competent in their own area of the physical therapy experience. They are willing to accommodate scheduling changes without a fuss. Fantastic experience: I went to Modern Physical Therapy February - April 2021 due to a shoulder issue. I had a GREAT experience, start to finish. They did a thorough examination at the beginning and laid out a 6-week plan for me. I think this is a great approach, which set clear expectations for my recovery timeline. Most places put you on a 3x/week schedule for an endless amount of time. The staff was great to work with and truly cared about getting me on my path to feeling better within the timeline that was laid out for me. I highly recommend MPT and will definitely be contacting the office again in the future if I have another need.

Fantastic experience: I came to Modern Physical Therapy under protest to please my wife, it was the best decision I was talked into. Two months ago I could barely walk, get in or out of the car or go up stairs. The team has been great! Fantastic experience: This is absolutely the best! Dr Onefrie, Colin, Rene administered PRP injections to my wife's much damaged Hamstring . She has had chronic pain since surgery on reattaching it twice . Colin then did physical therapy for her. She is a 1000% better . 2 years of pain and these guys have greatly reduced it. The whole staff is knowledgeable, friendly and understanding. I would HIGHLY recommend them. We are so thankful for them.

Fantastic experience: Modern physical therapy did a GREAT job of taking care of my elbow pain. They laid out a 6 week plan of physical therapy with PRP injections. The physical therapy assistants were so nice and knew the perfect exercises to work on my elbow. Renee did a fantastic job with the prp injections and my elbow feels 100% now after treatment. I would highly recommend Modern physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: I came here after total knee replacement for my 6 weeks of physical therapy. I'm so glad I found them. The therapists and therapy is fantastic. Every time I go, we do different, challenging exercises and I can feel myself improving after each session. Staff and therapists are extremely nice and engaged. You work hard but it is obvious that everyone cares about your recovery.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend!! I had rotator cuff surgery for the third time, and went to 2 other physical therapy before a friend recommended this one! It has been the best experience ever! The other therapy offices, kept me in there for hours, doing nothing, just waiting to be seen by the therapist to see me after I did all my exercises on my own. They did not progress me and had me coming 3 times a week... felt they just wanted to keep me there for my money. This is completely different and I have already had more improvements than I had for a year in the other place. They are amazing!

Fantastic experience: After dealing with hip and knee pain for years I found a place close to my house after leaving the doctors office that not only treats arthritis but cares about the people that come in for treatment. After just a few visits of joint therapy and physical therapy i have a huge reduction of pain and I am able to walk up and down the stairs without pain. I would recommend Modern Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine to anyone with joint pain in the knees and hips.
