Fantastic experience: Today I completed two months of PT at ATI Roper in James Island and I was extremely happy with my experience. Brandon and Jessica were my primary PT's, who i would certainly recommend, and they created and tracked a plan that really improved my strength, balance, and flexibility in my hip as i recovered from my Hip Impingement surgery. The office is full of positive energy and the other PTs as helpful and friendly and are there to cheer you on in your recovery. Thank you again ATI!

Fantastic experience: I had a knee replacement & chose to go to Roper St. Francis - ATI Physical Therapy on Folly Road, Charleston, for my post-op PT. I have had such a wonderful experience there. The therapists are so knowledgeable and thorough. I’ve made great progress under their care and expect a 100% recovery because of them. I would recommend them to everyone who needs physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: First time doing Physical Therapy. Was skeptical but needed relief from taking nasty pain meds. Jesse has been remarkable in evaluating my situation and trying different stretches and movements to relieve my back and leg pain. I am truly amazed at how repeated small stretching/movements can provide relief and help gradually get me off my medications and back to the real world. Plenty of work yet to do with her but very happy with the care I am getting with the staff at Roper ATI. The great first impression with the scheduling department call set the tone for my attitude going into my appointments. Thanks for that!

Negative experience: I had knee replacement. In home Physical therapist was wonderful and very caring. I was able to do all my other sets of exercises before bedtime. When I started out patient PT they were totally different at ATI. They have a poor attitude towards their patients if the patient can't do all the exercises. I am going there to be able to regain mobility from my surgery but by the time evening arrives I am in so much pain I can't even do the rest of my exercises before bedtime. I am going there to get better, not to be pushed so hard that I have actually felt sick the pain is so bad. I'm highly considering going to a different physical therapist. I have been through PT several times over the years but never had experiences such as this.

Fantastic experience: Knee replacement is not for sissies. To have a truly positive outcome the joint must be as flexible as the original. The window to accomplish this is rather short and quite painful. The folks at ATI Physical Therapy are demanding but compassionate toward reaching your goals. They stress not subjecting one to torture while acknowledging the oft heard, “No pain, no gain.” I am not very educated to those exercises taught; however, all those tasks are stressed in internet searches and make perfect sense. The facility on James Island is rather busy, so there is need to follow instruction and execute but all instructors appear capable of monitoring your technique and directing your efforts. I always leave there feeling they made me work, helped me progress, and kept me humble.

Positive experience: If I was only reviewing the therapists I’d give this place a 5. However I’m going to add my thoughts on the BILLING. All of the therapists were knowledgeable and capable. I have absolutely no complaints there and was a patient for 2 different problems. HOWEVER the billing they use is absolutely unintelligible, confusing and unnecessarily complicated. Even when I called their customer service I spoke with a person who was very condescending in manner and words. Instead of just listing the service dates, what insurance paid and balance due each month I’ve been receiving partial bills that list different sections of account activity and paid activity. Should be straight forward right? Instead statements would all have different account numbers, would not list all visits or all payments. My last visit of the year was June 15 and yet 2 months later I’m still getting partial bills with varying amounts listed as due. According to my calculations I still owe a bit but wasn’t billed for it. It was easy to miss but at one point they charged erroneously, which I had paid. Instead of them showing this overpayment on the statement as a line item credit it was never shown, necessitating the aforementioned phone call. I went round and round in the phone and finally gave up. I have looked at all my insurance EOB’s to actually see what should be billed and I’m paying piecemeal what should be paid. Seriously by this time if the billing were at all coherent the account should be closed

Fantastic experience: The team at this facility is top notch. They are affable, knowledgeable, and fun to work with each time I come in. I have worked with Matt, Alex, and Jess in particular and all of them have been stellar. I would recommend anyone to do their physical therapy here.

Positive experience: I have been very pleased with Zack who did my assessment. He has been very attentive and focused on details of my therapy. I am concerned since he is sent to another location that attention to detail is being overlooked. It is a long way for me to travel for less than quality care.

Positive experience: Amazing staff! The only complaint is that they do not have handicap doors and some of the therapy sponges that are impossible to wipe off are very dirty. Not because they are not wiped off but the material is impossible to keep clean after each use. Again, the staff is incredible and very competent.

Every member there made you feel comfortable, educated and informed, and asked about how you're feeling or had any concerns (even when they didn't work with you). Fantastic experience: I had pulled a muscle in my back and it was very painful. After only four visits so far with ATI Pysical Therapy I have shown great improvement. Matt and Chris there are very knowledgeable about my condition and very gentle with me when I need it. Every day that I go in the exercise routine is different so I know that it is moving every part of that muscle that needs the attention. Everyone there is kind, professional, and will do anything to make sure you’re comfortable with the various exercises and exercise machines that we are using. I highly recommend ATI physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: The environment at this facility is so uplifting. Aside from the amazing support and guidance I received from my physical therapist, Brandon, the entire staff was there to support all of the patients. I feel physically stronger and more confident in my abilities than I have in years. I am sure that all the patients who spend time healing and strengthening themselves there will also feel heartened by being around such caring and enjoyable therapists.
