Imagine Physical Therapy - West Ashley

Fantastic experience: After a complex surgery, the Imagine PT team was a huge part of my successful recovery. From the thorough assessment I reviewed at my first session to the personalized treatment plan to the creative solutions to my issues, my whole experience was outstanding. The therapists & students are wonderful- very skilled, kind, compassionate & truly listen and work with your needs. I felt I was in expert hands at every session, and made great progress. They were responsive and very accommodating, working with my schedule so I could get all the sessions I needed. The team at Imagine PT is made up of try dedicated, amazing people & I’m certain my recovery would not have gone as well if I’d gone anywhere else. I truly feel that I have my mobility, and my life, back. 10/10 would recommend & I’ll definitely go back to Imagine in the future if I have other PT needs.

Fantastic experience: Ruptured my bicep and chose Image for my post-op PT and I’m so glad I did. To start with, the location was convenient and the staff was super friendly. They we very knowledgeable and the advice and plain-language explanations of what we were doing really helped me get my work done. I only had to do PT for a few weeks but those few weeks got me back on my feet and working out again WITH some good guidelines as to how to safely get back to where i used to be strength-wise. Really couldn’t be happier with my experience - highly recommend Imagine!!

Fantastic experience: I had 3 level cervical and 1 level lumbar fusion surgery in 2023. I started physical therapy with Imagine 2 months prior to the first surgery, between the surgeries and after the second surgery. I was skeptical at first about physical Therapy. But through my ordeal the therapy helped massively. I’m now very much onboard with physical therapy. The different techniques that were administered to me helped out a great deal. Joe and his Staff at Imagine Physical Therapy West Ashley are very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is warm and upbeat. Cindy at the front desk is extremely nice and helpful. I 100% recommend Imagine Physical Therapy. Thanks to Joe and his team I have returned to work and moving on with my career and life. Thank y’all so much!!!

Fantastic experience: Right from the beginning, I knew Imagine Physical Therapy was where I would receive the best treatment for my low back pain. Cindy, the receptionist, was very cheerful when I called to make the appointment and then very helpful when I got lost getting there. My therapist, Emily, worked very hard with me on my journey to gaining more pain free mobility. She is very knowledgeable, caring and professional and motivated me to perform home exercises using proper form. The entire staff is very friendly and genuinely care about their patients’ well being. The leader of any group sets the tone, and Joe, the director, does that very well. If you want to receive excellent care in a lovely updated low country home, Imagine Physical Therapy in West Ashley is the place for you.

Fantastic experience: When I was preparing for my knee replacement surgeries, my friend (and fellow joint replacement champion) said, “You’ll want to go see Joe at Imagine for your PT, he is the best.” She was so right! From the minute I walked in to my first appointment, I was treated with kindness and compassion, while also receiving the very best medical care. PT can be very challenging, and Joe reminded me (many times!) that it’s a journey, and he was my tour guide. I ran into some complications with my hip after I had completed my PT for both of my knees, and Joe was ready for me, adding in dry-needling, ultrasound and cupping, as well as deep stretching. My journey with Joe continued after a revision to one of my knees, and he helped me get back on my feet in no time. I’m now armed with a plan to keep myself strong and healthy, but I know the door at Imagine is always open if I need help down the road. Even if Imagine is not the closest PT facility for you, they are worth the extra distance, so definitely consider them if you are in need of PT. FIVE STARS!

Fantastic experience: This is the second time I've needed PT. I used Imagine the first time and I wouln't go anywhere else. This team has its act together! I never had to wait for a therapist - one was ready when my appointment time came. Sure, I had to work to improve my range of motion and strengthen my weak muscles, but they were behind me all the way. Appointment times are flexible. The place is sparkling clean and there's ample parking. It doesn't get better than this!

I like that they are faith-based and have a combined therapy approach as I needed both dry needling and manual therapy. Thanks for all your help and care.

Fantastic experience: I suffered from a labral tear of my right shoulder which required Bankart repair. After 5 months with Imagine Physical Therapy, my shoulder feels practically back to 100%. Joe and his team are dedicated to providing excellent, compassionate care. They were always extremely prompt with communication and handling insurance questions/concerns. Their flexibility with scheduling and adjusting therapy regimens based on your needs/assessment made a huge impact to my recovery. The group at Imagine PT in West Ashley is a family and they truly make every patient feel like a member to their family. Although I am glad to have my shoulder back, I will truly miss working with Joe and his team at Imagine PT.

Fantastic experience: The team at West Ashley Imagine PT is a group of knowledgeable, considerate, and passionate people. I had an ACL replacement and meniscus repair. They advocated on my behalf with the VA for community care. They didn't just walk me through exercises - they taught me what my body was doing, why it did that, and how I needed to proactively respond to get myself back to a condition I was happy with. I sincerely appreciate the hard work they put into helping me recover from March to July.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Imagine Physical Therapy West Ashley to everyone. It was suggested by my surgeon, Dr DeMarco, to work with Joe. I had massive rotator cuff surgery and in 6 months I have improved 99%. The staff, especially Joe, all care and provide positive feedback and answer any and all questions. This is my 2nd PT experience and it is by far the BEST. I wasn't just shuffled thru the motions. Each visit was geared towards what I needed at that time. Joe was always telling me to take it easy. I am a very active 57 year old. I am a weight lifter and have an active job, so I am not so good at taking it easy. Grateful for all the knowledge, caring, and kind people that are a part of the Imagine PT family. They are a big part of my recovery!! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I fully ruptured my Achilles’ tendon with emergency surgery. Joe and Amber did an amazing job getting me back to my full capabilities. Skiing, running, etc. Even after being discharged they kept in touch and had an open line of communication. Savannah and Kristi are always on top of communicating appointments and fees. They both jump in whenever needed. Everyone at this practice goes far beyond expectations. They truly care about your recovery. You aren’t just a number here, you are treated as family.

Fantastic experience: When I first came to Imagine PT, I could barely move my neck without a shot of severe pain that instantly froze me. Joe Shriver and his team were terrific, patient and always listened to me when I explained my symptoms and progress over the time they worked with me. As of today, I can move my neck freely without pain! Joe started me early on a set of exercises, which have been very important to my progress, and which I continue to do. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: My experience at Imagine Physical Therapy on Ashley River Road was great! I looked forward to going every week. Sometimes it was difficult to do the exercises, but it got easier. At age 71, I didn’t have the mobility I needed due to my bad knee. After PT, my mobility is much better. I even made a chart of my daily PT exercises to help me maintain and continue to improve my mobility. I highly recommend Imagine Physical Therapy! EVERYONE there is friendly and professional!

Fantastic experience: Getting appointments was very easy. The staff is willing to work around any problem to help. I was able to be seen within a few minutes of my scheduled time. The PT staff questioned me everything about how I was feeling and what area was continuing to hurt. My therapist is very knowledgeable any easy to work with. Unfortunately, I have been several times for different problems.

Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with Joe Schriver and the rest of the PT staff. Joe is very knowledgeable and explains everything in a manner I could understand. I was able to understand why my injury caused the pain I was having and how and why the treatment would help. I have been able to resume my normal activities with much less pain and am continuing my exercises as recommended.

Kristie, the person on the reception, is a godsend, she goes out of her way to accommodate patients' timings, and accomodations. Joe is the kindest, and smartest physical therapist I have ever met. Fantastic experience: Kathy and I have been using Imagine Physical Therapy for over a year now. Kathy has had some problems with a shoulder and later with her back. I have a neuropathy in my feet giving me balance problems. We have had great results with Imagine. They are courteous, knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile. However, if you want the results you desire, you need to be faithful in practicing the exercises they give you at home. A big shout-out to Joe and his whole team.

Fantastic experience: I was a physical therapy skeptic going in. I have dealt with back pain for years and years and recently it had gotten extremely painful and limited my movement and activities. My doctor suggested 2 weeks of therapy to see if it improved before what I thought was inevitable which would be a MRI to reveal major damage. Working with Joe and team 6 weeks later I’ve felt the best I have in the last 7-10 years. It turns out it was all muscular and not something much much worse. No more pain pills, no more muscle relaxers and able to live life how i want too. They personalized care to my problem and the treatments were extremely effective. I’d highly recommend Imagine Physical Therapy.

I live an active lifestyle and Imagine tailored my recovery process based on my lifestyle and goals. I enjoyed going to my appointments each week. I am now fully recovered, I have full range of motion and zero pain.

During the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic, Imagine Physical Therapy followed strict safety guidelines in order for their clients to continue their therapy.

Fantastic experience: I want to shout out what a wonderful experience my PT was with Joe and his team. My problem was with my low back and Sciatica. When I first started PT I couldn’t even touch the skin without pain. With proper training of what I needed to do at home plus with the team on site I cannot believe how good I feel. The dry needling and cupping worked wonders for me and stretches. I feel like I can Zumba again and surf without pain in my 50’s. These folks are so knowledgeable, and let me add the kindness they show is amazing for others. ❤️

The facility is clean and they are very careful about keeping everything wiped down after each client. You rarely see anyone but the person at the front desk and the therapist. Joe was very knowledgeable and really explained everything he did. My hip is now great and I would recommend Imagine to anyone who needs PT.

Fantastic experience: I have been to Imagine Physical Therapy in West Ashley twice. The first was due to an old shoulder injury and the second for knee pain. Each visit consisted of thorough exams, therapy and strengthening. I have been doing much better. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the staff is amazing! I highly recommend and only go to Imagine!

Fantastic experience: On my first visit I received a thorough evaluation from Joe, who devised a therapeutic regime. On every subsequent visit an associate, usually Amber, provided 30 minutes of scheduled therapy followed by 30 minutes of supervised exercise. An excellent and worthwhile therapeutic experience.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to go to Imagine Physical Therapy by my surgeon at Roper, James Demarco. He recommended going to Joe for my (shoulder) labrum repair. It was a long recovery process but that was to be expected. Joe and his team did a phenomenal job with my therapy - I was always pushed but not too much and progressed appropriately. I worked a lot with Amber (PT Assistant) as well and she was great to work with. I always felt as though I was getting the appropriate care whether they did dry needling, cupping, massing, stretching, or strengthening. To top it off it was a great atmosphere and upbeat and I always enjoyed my time chatting with the rest of the crew there. My shoulder feels really great and I know it wouldn't be without the help of Joe and the team at Imagine PT.

Fantastic experience: Went into Imagine PT with a torn Achilles and after 3 month PT i came out with %100 mobility and was able to get back to everyday life and sports. i cannot stress enough that Imagine is not just here to help you get back to normal but they are here to better you as a human being. I felt like i was walking into a second home each and every visit. I recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Fantastic experience: I love Ryan and his staff! I broke my femur in 2007 and have been to many physical therapist since then and none have been more pleased with my results. I highly recommend this location!

Fantastic experience: This was my second time at Imagine. The first was several years ago after shoulder surgery and this time after knee surgery. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Thanks to them both my shoulder and my knee are back to normal. I would not hesitate to recommend Imagine to anyone and will definitely use them again myself if it ever becomes necessary.
