Dr. Seth Egge, PT completed his Kinesiology degree at San Diego State University in 2008. He ventured onto earn his doctorate in Physical Therapy at The University of St. Augustine in San Marcos, California with an emphasis in advanced evaluation and manipulation of the lumbopelvic region, thoracic spine, cervical spine, and extremities. Using a combination of joint mobilization, myofascial release, and neuromuscular re-education, Dr. Egge effectively treats patients who suffer from chronic low back and neck pain, craniofacial dysfunction, and complex upper and lower extremity disorders. He enjoys watching and participating in all sports but participates in Snowboarding, Surfing, Mountain biking, and Triathlons.

Gina is a dual credentialed therapist who specializes in the treatment of upper extremity injuries.  She earned both her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (2014) and a master’s in Occupational Therapy (2013) at the University of St. Augustine and a Bachelor’s in Health Care Administration (2011) from Grand Canyon University. Gina recently obtained a specialization as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). Her passion is to help patients reach their goals to return to their lifestyle and well-being.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, running, strength training, traveling and sports.

Kim graduated with her Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Physical Therapy from Cal State San Marcos in 2012. She continued her education and went on to San Diego Mesa College to become a Physical Therapist Assistant in 2017.  Kim uses a variety of techniques such as IASTM and soft tissue cupping to improve functional mobility. She loves helping patients recover from their injuries and achieve their goals. When she isn’t working, Kim loves playing volleyball, softball, golf, snowboarding, and going to Disneyland to hang with her best friend Mickey Mouse.

I am writing to share my great appreciation for the service I received at PRN clinic, La Mesa. Everyone was quite welcoming and efficient. I am especially impressed with the knowledge, expertise and manner of my hand therapist, Kim Vonk. Kim has been my therapist since September 19th of this year. I could tell from the first time I met her that she was highly experienced and quite detailed in her analysis of my condition. Not only is she efficient, but she has a way of putting people at ease. I felt comfortable and safe in her hands. She made me feel as if I could get through my pain and anxiety over the loss of the use of my hand with her help and guidance. Even though we have done almost all of our sessions virtually, Kim has always been clear, honest and straightforward about the work that I need to do to get the full use of my hand back. Her positive attitude and encouraging manner inspired me to do the exercises and stretches I was given every day. As a result, I have made great progress, with almost full usage in just 4 months! After my surgery, I was despondent and disheartened that my recovery would be so difficult and lengthy. My surgeon was not forthcoming about how challenging it would be. I could never have gotten through it as well as I did if it wasn’t for Kim. I will be forever grateful to her.

My experience at PRN La Mesa surpassed my expectations when I started the process a year ago. Two total knee replacements done exactly 90 days apart, PT before, during and after through the second surgery. The staff was outstanding from start to finish. Very knowledgeable, personally engaging and extremely professional in all aspects of my rehab.I could not have had a better experience, thank you my friends at PRN🙏🏻

Loved both my hand therapist. Slightly different approaches that complemented each other. The only thing I found that was not to my liking was the music. Admittedly I was seated the whole time but that was why I found it annoying. It would be nice if the music in the office area where the hand therapist is, was separate from the workout room. That way, the volume can be much lower in one area while higher in another.

Thanks to direct access, we can see any patient without a referral from a doctor for an initial evaluation. If our therapists believe that physical therapy is a good option for your needs, we can work with you and your physician to obtain a prescription for continued care. If your diagnosis requires additional expertise, we can also refer you to a specialist to handle your care.

Please wear or bring comfortable athletic/workout clothing to change into. This includes shorts or sweatpants, a t-shirt and sneakers. Your attire should also allow easy access to your injured area for treatment by your physical therapist.

The frequency of your treatment will depend on your physician’s prescription and the plan of care developed by your physical therapist. Most patients require treatment two to three times per week. The duration of treatment will depend on your injury and personal progress. Your physical therapist will discuss this with you following your initial exam and subsequently as you progress.

If you are unable to attend an appointment, we require at least 24 hours' notice. However, we do understand than an occasional emergency or illness may arise, in which case you may have to cancel your appointment closer to your scheduled time.

We accept most major insurances including Medicare, Tricare and workers’ compensation plans. Before your initial visit, we will verify in and out of network benefits with your insurance company. The cost of therapy is determined by the benefits of your insurance plan, including the deductible and co-pay, or patient percentage. We are happy to check with your insurance company to determine the terms of your coverage. Payment for patient responsibility is due at the time of service.
