IU South Bend Elkhart Center

Since 2007, the Elkhart Center has opened its door to the greater Michiana community, serving as a home-away-from home for many IUSB graduate students. Today, it houses the IUSB Elkhart Speech-Language Clinic and the School of Rehabilitation Sciences; advanced health sciences Masters programs in Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology.

Focusing on the graduate education of much-needed healthcare providers in these necessary fields, the Elkhart Center promotes collaboration, collegiality and professional development. This vital foundation, and these highly-trained professionals, is key to fostering life-long learning, improving patient/family outcomes in the field of healthcare, and supporting the Michiana region.

Free public parking is available at all times across Franklin St. in the Public Parking Civic Plaza, or on the second level of the Marion St parking garage by the hotel Elkhart. You must have an IUSB parking tag displayed in or on your vehicle to park in the Elkhart Center lot around and behind the building, adjacent to the Lerner.

The atrium hosts 8 computers (2 of which are Macs), 2 printers, and a non-circulating library.Events & ReservationsThe Elkhart Center is available for your use. Whether your conference requirements large classrooms with AV setups, you're looking to host a holiday brunch, or you'd like to use our parking lot, please see the IUSB Special Events Manual.Updates to the SpaceThe IUSB Elkhart Center is discussing the alteration and/or renovation of several spaces in the building. The Center for Online Education is for students who want to earn college credit towards a university degree, but do not have the time to attend classes on campus.
