I had been going to a hospital affiliated therapy place but wasn’t progressing as I had hoped. So I switched after researching online. Within the first 30 days of working with Haley I experienced clear progress and felt, for the first time, I could possibly fully recover. … she gave me hope at a time when I really needed it. I cannot say enough great things about Haley. It’s challenging to be in recovery and she is acutely aware of that and makes it fun bringing new exercises and challenges regularly, keeping it fresh. I’ve learned who you choose is critical to your recovery, and I cannot thank her enough. I highly recommend Haley, she’s truly one in a million

I’ve struggled with severe shoulder issues, and Allison has been instrumental in my recovery. She introduced me to a variety of exercises, many of which I hadn’t tried before, and they have made a significant difference. Allison's positive and encouraging attitude, coupled with her extensive knowledge, has made my therapy sessions both effective and enjoyable. The location is also very convenient. He enabled me to straighten my leg and get full range of motion by guiding me through the process and providing helpful hints and a lot of encouragement. I love the integration of Pilates in therapy and they helped me to transition to an exercise plan that included my home gym and Pilates classes in the studio.

Fantastic experience: I was a patient at Coastal Movement Specialists for just over two years, for a back injury. I have experience with almost every provider, and they are all really wonderful and caring providers that take the time to get to know you and your injury. I worked the most with the co-owner Kristen and she was always so kind, caring, flexible, and open to my needs and opinions about my injury. Through the care I received here, I have seen a huge decrease in my pain and my overall injury has improved. I have just officially "graduated" from physical therapy and am very thankful for my experience at Coastal Movement Specialist! I would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I came to Coastal after 5 weeks following surgery for a fractured femur and then in a rehab hospital. I arrived with major strength and balance issues and able to walk only very haltingly with the aid of a walker. Kristen Kelliher has been working with me for about two months and I have made great progress with all these problem areas. She really knows how to apply the latest and best clinical practice and picks up on the subtle issues causing me difficulties. She is also very encouraging, hard-working and ready to go the extra mile while keeping me informed on what the various exercises are seeking to accomplish and how we are doing. The atmosphere at Coastal is also very friendly and enjoyable. I thoroughly recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: My first time with Amanda was absolutely wonderful, She walked me through what was going on with my shoulder explaining in terms I understood. Then she explained how to fix what I had going on. She showed me some exercises to help relive the pain and told me within six weeks I will feel better. getting ready for my second visit and am excited to go. I have now been back several times and Amanda turned me over to Haley. She has worked my shoulder and explained wha she was doing at all times. She had me do exercises that loosened the muscles and made me feel better. But she also has worked my muscles and tendons with her fingers and made them relax. I also had the opportunity to watch hem alone with the others who work with them with other people and it seemed to be like the were working miracles on them, just like they did with me/ Both Amanda and Haley are wonderful and I would recommend them to everyone.

Fantastic experience: I have been to many places over the years for Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy. Never have I received this level of excellence in treatment. As a patient, you only receive one-on-one treatment always. They take care of each patient taking into account their personal lifestyle as well as their overall health. After all these years of going to PT, seeing therapist for a few minutes and then doing exercises on your own with an assistant walking around checking on you and everyone else I have found the RIGHT way to do it! This is the only place to go in the Charleston area!!!

My previous physical therapy experience had me in a group setting while Kristen provided much needed one on one care. Couldn’t recommend enough!

I started therapy with Kristen 8 months ago with a mindset of hating exercises and believing I can’t do them. Kristen gave me exercises, showed how to do them, and encouraged me to try and believe I can. I also began recently working with Amanda who has treated me with the same professionalism and I look forward to continue working with her. I may not love to exercise but I do look forward to PT, knowing that each session is changing my quality of life. I believe in them. They love their job and go above and beyond.
