Alden Estates of Evanston Rehabilitation and Post Acute Health Care: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Matt the administrator and his team at Alden Evanston where great while my father rehabbed for a knee replacement! Outstanding facility very clean, staff was always friendly and caring… Not to mention the food, my father loved their soups!
Fantastic experience: I had a most excellent and beneficial stay at Alden Estates of Evanston! After a hip surgery that required a lengthy recovery and rehab AND a second surgery plus recovery with more rehab, AE Evanston was the perfect place for me to become well again. From the exceptional nursing care and superb PT & OT therapists, to the uniformly kind staff in ALL departments of the facility, I felt not only "cared for", but very much "cared about". These days of nursing & care personnel shortages must be extremely difficult for all skilled-nursing facilities. There is no perfect situation. But AE Evanston's management and staff have come pretty close, in my estimation. And, it has to do with a 'Culture of Caring' evident throughout the facility. My deepest gratitude to everyone at AE Evanston who helped me along the way. I recommend it highly.
Fantastic experience: My 96 year old Grandma, Despina is currently at Alden Evanston and it has been a miracle she gets to go back home on Saturday. The staff are all so pleasant, remembering myself and my family when we visit. My Grandma is very picky, but loves the food there and got used to the food quickly. My grandma has never played bingo in her life, the staff were able to convince her to come try, taught her how to play, and she won! This is now a story she tells everyone and how proud she was and loves bingo now. She especially loves her therapy staff and wants to take them all home with her. Thank you Alden Evanston for taking great care of my Grandma during this hard time for her!
Fantastic experience: I took some time after the discharge of my brother, Sawly, to write this review. I honestly had to think about what I wanted to say and how it should be said. Simply because it was so many great things happening on a daily basis while my brother was a resident there at Alden Of Evanston. My brother is very difficult to deal with, and set In his stubborn ways. When he had to endure the removal of his leg he became more difficult to deal with. I was worried about how he would react or interact with the staff if we needed to place him in a rehabilitation center for his journey to recovery. I knew that coping would possibly make matters worse. So we toured Alden Of Evanston and fell in love immediately! The facility was so clean and the staff greeted us with a smiles throughout the building. It showed us that the people are happy to work there and enjoyed what they do. My brother was admitted and fell in love with the place. Everyone was so nice he had no choice but to become just as nice and easy to work with. I would call him everyday and he would always tell me how a staff member helped him do this and helped him do that. He mention a few names along the way too. He spoke highly of Tara, Suzette,Sheila, and Maria. Everyone was great but they went way beyond the call of duty to assist as much as needed. Even when it was time for discharge planning it was amazing how the Administration all came together. Josh was very attentive to ensure that my brother was discharged home with everything he need in order to be successful at living independently. My family and I would like to say Thank you for a great job at taking care of my brother. Words can not compare to the outstanding care he received there. It’s people like you who make a difference! Thank you!
