In emergency situations, Jay was always the one who knew what to do. He spent his entire adulthood protecting others when they needed it most. Yet in a split second, Jay became the one who needed the help. In April of 2022, Jay experienced a stroke. He was rushed to the hospital where he was treated for his condition.

Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation: Reviews
Fantastic experience: I wish I could give more than five stars. My grandfather went there and he is 88 years old after having a spinal infusion on t 10 all the way through L3 which is a major surgery for a normal person much less than 88-year-old man he went there and I have never seen better care honest to God. I do not leave him in a hospital without somebody there with him. I felt completely comfortable leaving him there without somebody overnight. They always kept me informed. They took wonderful care of him, not only with the physical therapy side, but the nursing staff there was exceptional there were a few times they thought he may need X-rays or CT scans just to rule out anything that may be dangerous. They did that even without me asking when I tell you that this rehabilitation center went above and beyond I could not give them enough gratitude for what they did for my grandfather. I hands-down would not recommend anybody other than Siskin for health and rehab rehabilitation for your loved one. Thank you so much for all that you do.
Fantastic experience: Excellent care.
Fantastic experience: Staff was patient and wonderful. Highly recomend.
Fantastic experience: I had a severe spinal cord laceration and burst fractures to my T10 and L1. I don’t believe I would be walking today if I had chosen any other rehab facility.
Positive experience: We appreciated the nurses, administration and Dr. during my husband's stay. They were skilled and attentive to his needs . Thanks to you all.
Fantastic experience: 100% recommend Siskin Hospital for rehabilitation. The staff is awesome. The physical therapist and occupational therapist are amazing!! The doctors and physicians assistants are awesome as well. Shout out to Contessa, Lindsey, Ally, Tristan, Dr. Sarah, Scott, I could go on all the staff there are amazing. If you are in need of the services siskins provide I highly recommend going to them.
Fantastic experience: Took care of a very close friend here
Negative experience: They have gotten me so far and then made me lose all hope
Hi! Could you please email [email protected] to explain the review? We take pride in providing excellent care, always.
Positive experience: First of all, I was impressed with the number of people that I had contact daily. I didn’t have any problems with any of the staff. Since I had a broken femur, I needed help just going to the bathroom. When I called they came right away. No waiting. A doctor visits patients each morning. I had an unusual experience with my dietary needs. I had one nurse and one physical therapist actually brought me something within my diet to eat. Physical therapists were on time, and I had a schedule so I knew when I would have therapy. I had some really good nursing assistants. I really had a great experience out of the experience of a broken femur.
Fantastic experience: This is an excellent rehab. They were absolutely amazing with me.
Fantastic experience: I fill in there sometimes to work. I had the most amazing omelette today. Their food is always excellent!
Fantastic experience: Siskin Hospital has some great doctors and physical therapist. I recommend Siskin Physical Therapy for anyone.
Negative experience: My husband was a patient at siskin. I had only ever heard of great things. I would leave at night to go home to sleep and when I got back in the mornings, he would tell me things and I would blow them off as things he was making up because he had a massive stroke. He eventually got placed back in the hospital due to stroke like symptoms, it wasnt a stroke thank God but now that he is ready to leave the hospital, siskin denied his request to go back. Yeah, things weren't smooth sailing but he tried his best everyday during therapy. (Shout out to Jorden and Craig from PT). Now he is upset bc he doesn't trust easily after experiences at other facilities and he thought he was going back to siskin. Just please be careful when placing your loved ones in a facility of anytime.
Please email us at [email protected] so we can look into this more. Thank you.
Negative experience: Front desk is typically a joke. We wait a half hour everytime but when we are late we get cancelled
Hi! Please reach out to [email protected] so we can look into this more. Thank you.
Fantastic experience: I already had a positive view of Siskin, but recovering there for ten days after surgery only made me more positive! High standards are maintained throughout the hospital, and the staff is wonderful. Siskin is an outstanding facility, providing excellent patient care.
Fantastic experience: I was fortunate enough to spend a month and a half in intensive physical therapy, 4 hours a day, 6 days a week. Every person I met was happy to be working there. Without trying, each eventually became a friend. Friends that I didn't want to disappoint. They understood my trauma and each time I failed, they looked hurt. When I was able to get past a hurdle, they were as happy as I was. When I had recovered enough to be dismissed, I cried. I haven't cried since I left home. This felt the same. Admission to Siskin is easy. All you need to do is to break a few key bones. But if you are ever in need of a facility like this and you have a choice, this is the place. You could do worse, I know because I've been there. I sincerely hope you will never need Siskin Hospital Rehab.
Fantastic experience: This place is nice and clean and does good work
Fantastic experience: I have to say I went from CHI Memorial to Siskin for recovery and they were absolutely wonderful. The staff commendations the food. The people that work there Care for people which means in a lot, especially when you’re not in the best shape and you need help they don’t complain or they just take good care of you a place I would highly recommend Thank you, Siskin
Fantastic experience: This place was the best, a few times I wanted to give up but they didn't let me.
Fantastic experience: The staff and facilities at Siskin were great. I even learned some skills and techniques that have/will help me well beyond why I was at Siskin in the first place. Kudos to Siskin.
Fantastic experience: Very caring, Very knowledgeable very helpful to make sure everything went well all the staff thank you very much for helping me
Fantastic experience: Most impressed with the Physical therapy I received. It was only exceeded by the staff!!
Fantastic experience: I am so glad I chose Siskin for my hip replacement therapy. Siskin is top notch and I highly recommend the doctors, staff, and facility. And of course the therapy was much better than expected. Thank you Siskin!
Fantastic experience: Great experience with very compassionate professionals. I use their helpful teachings every day. Thank you Siskin.
Fantastic experience: Nice hospital, the employees and nurses were very nice and took very good care of my Aunt. They were doing lots of different therapies for her. I was inpressed
Fantastic experience: My husband suffered a massive Covid stroke in 2021. Erlanger sent him to Siskin. It was a long haul with inpatient and then outpatient therapy. I worked with him at home after the therapy. He was in a wheelchair for a little over a year but is now up walking everywhere. Thanks to the wonderful staff. I really wish they could see him now. They never thought he would come this far.
Fantastic experience: My dear friend of many years went to Siskin from Erlanger due to having a stroke. She was sent to Siskin for rehab, and she absolutely loved it. She always raved about the staff and how nice and attentive they were. She was always opposed to going to an inpatient rehab but after her experience at Siskin she's no longer afraid to go to inpatient rehab. I would love to thank Siskin staff for all of your hard work.
Fantastic experience: Siskin gave me my mother back . The best thing we ever found ❤️ . The staff did the work and we were there to encourage her and love her. I couldn't believe that in 26 days time she went from no steps to 88steps to eventually tossing her walker to go home. Thank you Siskin!!
Negative experience: Poorest case manager ever. We had to make our own discharge therapy plans because she didn’t know of any PT outside of Chattanooga. They demanded I drive 200 miles home to get oxygen tanks for discharge for my husband. They asked me to stay overnights because he was restless and trying to get up at night but I had to sleep on the floor because they were concerned about the new flooring that might be “scratched” if they used a rolling guest bed from another floor. 5th floor nurses rolled their eyes at me and one even hung up on me when I was calling to get home instructions. PT, OT , nursing assistants and food was good though.
Fantastic experience: Excellent service! Could not have asked for better! Even the food was delicious!
Fantastic experience: I spent two weeks at Sisken last year for rehab. Prior to my arrival, I spent two months in HMC’s medical ICU unit here in Dalton. I was recovering from a major heart issue that left me 70 lbs lighter. This time in the ICU left me unable to speak, walk and eat. Therefore I was treated at Sisken in there physical, occupational and speech therapy areas. In those two weeks I was treated with respect and the staff was VERY PROFESSIONAL. I can truly say that one of the reasons I am here today was because of Sisken. God Bless you all.
Fantastic experience: I was a third-party employee - but I'd pay to send my mother there if she needed physical therapy
Fantastic experience: A loved one had a stroke and we went to this rehab facility. Everyone there was amazing and knowledgeable. The most compassionate people and they knew what they were doing. They have PT OT and SP for multiple hours a day 5 days a week. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing rehab.
Fantastic experience: I walked today.
Fantastic experience: Siskin west Nurses and Therapist are awesome Had a great experience after I had both knees replaced recently. Highly recommended
Fantastic experience: My mom had a stroke on her left side and after a week was transfered to Siskin. We were very pleased with her stay. Meredith, Maddy, and Sarah (PT, OT, SP) were amazing. Dr. Williams and Lee made sure we were informed every step of the way. Mom was not walking and had recently had surgery on her right leg. So walking wasn't even possible but if it wasn't for these ladies and their teams she would not be functioning now. We are now with Siskin outpatient in Cleveland and again.... without the original team I think she would still be in a bed and not motivated to get back to her new normal. The nursing staff seemed short staffed so I did spend a lot of time to make sure mom was comfortable. The lady that cleaned her room was awesome too, I can not remember her name but my mom is a bit of a clean freak and having a clean room everyday helped her relax and heal. Mom isn't up and running around but the MSgt is making sure her Granny PT is moving forward and she is working hard to make him go away. Thank you all for giving her tough love while pushing her to get back on her feet.
Negative experience: These people didn't realize the signs my Mom's bleed was occurring again. I made such a fuss. They said she was sleepy. Well folks ..sleepy doesn't take your speech and cause you not to recognize your daughter. Took me from Friday morning until Saturday evening to my mom taken back to Erlanger hospital.
Negative experience: Terrible hospital. Terrible staff. Hope they all rot in hell and die
Negative experience: I have a friend in siskins rehab therapy. The food she is served is atrocious. A new cook is desperately needed. Please look into the food that is being served to your patients
Negative experience: Our experience started out great. After 3 weeks my father was left on the side of the bed and the wheelchair was unlocked. He fell when the wheelchair moved. Then he and 5 others were placed on isolation at the same time for covid. Next I know he had to go to the hospital and after his stay they wouldn't take him back. Very disappointed with the outcome.
Fantastic experience: Nurses and therapists are very patient with the healing process. I never felt rushed to do more than I felt like doing.. they gradually pulled me along until I realized I could get better. This is a very relaxed hospital where you work hard with a therapist every day and have a nice room to rest in when not exercising. I was exhausted at first and didn’t feel like climbing out of bed to do anything. Then I started feeling stronger every day and I knew I was going to be ok. I know I have a few more months of healing, but I’ve been given the tools I need to get there.
Fantastic experience: I was one of their first patients in 2002 and they changed my life. I had a very caring physical thearpist Noi Mavredes who stands 10 feet tall in my eyes. I will always be thankful to everyone at Siskin I came in contact with. An Excellent Hospital and come Highly recommended by me.
Thank you!
Fantastic experience: They give you hope , they don't give up on results , very kind staff
Thanks, Norman!
Fantastic experience: It is obvious that I believe in Siskin Hospital since I am on their billboard! :)
Yes, you are! We're so proud of you. Thanks for sharing your story to encourage others.
Fantastic experience: Staff is real nice and friendly and helpful
Thank you, Misty!
Fantastic experience: If you are looking for real results this the place to be. Don't look any further.
Thanks, Dale!
Fantastic experience: An incredible caring staff has enabled me to walk.so much better.
Thanks, Jim!
Fantastic experience: They gave the best care to my family.
Thank you, Gratia!
Fantastic experience: Reading some of these reviews sadden me. There is not enough space in the universe to say all I would love to say.due to covid I hD the worst experience of my life with trach, vent ,feeding tubes etc for a while and multiple other issues. The Dr's were amazed I survived. When I was at kindred it was a night mare I never want to relive. When I was moved to siskens and told I would have a long stay I thought it was going to be more horror. BUT IT WAS NOT. I WAS IN ROOM 314 AND HAD THE MOST WONDERFUL STAFF OF LOVING CARING PEOPLE AT All levels. My ever need was answered timely and with caring and consideration. I wish I had asked people to sign a book for me so I could put their names with their faces as my memory would not hold them but their faces will always be there. From the aides to the nurses the therapist's dietary staff the little guy who took my menus for meals to the people who fed me when I couldn't and helped me to bathroom. And never complaint or made me feel like a burden. My daughters were a ways from the hospital and visitation very limited due to covid But the nurses provided them with numbers to call. For updates. And passed messages to me tilli got trach out and could talk. This was during COvid time when visiting as very limited. . Dr Rider and this.wonderful team with the help of my unfailing GOD AND MY FAMILY brought me through. I am now walking mostly without any assisting device I am driving again, able to do meals rtc although my family is very protective of me. EXCEPT FOR THE NERVE DAMAGE AND PAIN FROM that I am almost back to my previous level of function. I thank God everyday and all you guys for making it possible. People please be careful what you say about these hardworking people as you may cause others to have preconceived impressions. Let people make their own trip and outcome. I pray Jordon and her new baby are doing great Love you all from the bottom of my heart. Jo Ann Smith.
Negative experience: They don't answer the phone and general voice mailbox is full.
Negative experience: I wish I could give negative stars. These people will not answer your phone calls you just get the voicemail run around. No one to help and the patient paperwork through the portal is very complicated. I feel like my childs being denied service over paperwork . No appointment can be made without the paperwork which won't send. No help in sight. Still no appoitment
Negative experience: My brother had a very long rehab experience at Siskin second to none several years ago. My mother recently had bad experience due to lack of basic nursing care at Siskin, God rest her soul. My father is a patient now due to a serious fall. There is an obvious decrease in quality of nursing for whatever reason. For example, last night he had to call 3 times for help to the restroom. The urinal, and phone were left out of his reach and he is not able to get up unassisted. How would you feel if you were ignored when you had to go? I have tried to call and speak with someone that may be able to help. I have been referred now to 3 different people and have gotten nothing but voicemail. What is one to do?
Negative experience: I went there for therapy on my shoulder to the in on East Brainerd Rd they were horrible . They would not work on my shoulder. The therapist kept trying to treat me for a stroke that happened 19years ago. He was a condescending jerk. H would not listen to anything and would not work on my shoulder all the occupational therapist did was complain and use me as show and tell for students. I would tell him what I needed.my shoulder did not get any better! It was a waste of time and money!
Negative experience: My uncle's bathroom was filthy and smelled really bad. The food was horrible and not nourishing at all. His therapy was woefully inadequate. He had to bring his own medication because their pharmacy was inadequate. I was visiting from out of town and was appalled. I wanted him moved. I was so disappointed. Siskin is unacceptable.
Negative experience: We had a terrifying experience with my father at this place. The “nurse”, Pam, didn’t even treat my father like a human being. He had just had cardiac bypass surgery and was at Siskins for rehab until he was strong enough to come home. Once he was there, we noticed some major changes in him (vision loss, confusion, headache and inability to walk) and we mentioned these concerns to Pam. We told her that we were worried that he could have suffered a stroke and she was very adamant that it was just his meds from surgery and a lack of sleep.. even bringing in a doctor to assure us that he was fine and this was normal. As a family, we decided to get another opinion from the doctor that performed the bypass surgery. When we told Pam, she said he could not leave as he was now “property of Siskins”. We had my fathers Dr call Siskins to discuss him being checked out by his team at Erlanger hospital next door.. the Dr agreed that it was crucial that we get him checked ASAP and said it would be several hours before we could get him in, but that we could wait at Siskins until a room was opened at the hospital. Pam came in shortly after and said we needed to leave right away.. that we could go wait in the ER waiting room for hours because “that’s what we wanted”.. saying they would refuse to give him his meds, food and so on. She went on to tell us about a time that she had a stroke and was treated at Erlanger and how it was an absolutely terrible hospital... I could go on and on about the unethical, heartbreaking things that Pam did but I won’t waist your time. My dad was admitted to Erlanger later that day where we learned that he had suffered a major stroke. If it was just the fact that they missed the very obvious signs of a stroke, I could almost overlook that and understand that everyone makes mistakes.. but the fact that Pam treated my sick father like garbage, making degrading remarks in front of him and was as rude of a person I have ever come across in a “professional” setting is simply inexcusable and heartbreaking.

Positive experience: In 2018 I had bi lateral knee replacements, 2 knee joints replaced at same time. I spent 2.5 weeks rehabilitation program and it was very good. I had 3 physical therapists and we had a good time stretching my knees to the max, doing ball games and balancing. The staff for my nursing was great, on the ball but understaffed. My pain was addressed immediately after a few days of exercise. I ordered my foods which was lotsa salads and prunes breakfast lunch and dinner along with the meal. Whenever I ordered I got. Yes it's hospital but hey supposed to get you better you're not there for five course meal. A shout out to Mike Anderton who helped work my joints and a nice Indian lady who would make sure I was walking straight. Can't remember her name. .anyway hello all. Thank you from Joseph Formisano
Fantastic experience: Thanks sooo much for your patience and uplifting spirit Valeria! I loved having you as my PT cheering me on with every little goal I achieved! Mitchell, the head PT, was amazing in answering all of my questions in layman terms. He was also so encouraging! I kept telling my goals of being able to walk and bike by a certain trip date. Guess what! I was able to do both after much hard work with Valeria and Mitchell! Thank you thank you!
Fantastic experience: I am having PT because of back problems. My physical therapist Doug has been both very professional and considerate. I highly recommend Siskin Hospital! Sherry G
Thank you, Sherry - glad we can be of help!
Fantastic experience: Wanderful place I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone needing any type of therapy. The staff cares about their patients and works hard to make their life better
Thanks, Jen!
Fantastic experience: Over the past five years my parents have been blessed to be cared for by Siskin several times and each experience has been exceptional! The facilities are state of art and staff are extremely gifted at their respective jobs. If you or your loved one needs rehabilitation care I can highly recommend Siskin.
Fantastic experience: I can only tell by what I've seen in just these couple hours, but this place makes my heart flutter to see all of these patients with all of these very caring therapists. You all rock and thank you for the compassionate service that my husband has received
Thank you for letting us know your first impressions, Latoya! We are privileged to be here when your husband needed us. Please let any of our associates know if you need anything - we're here for you!
Fantastic experience: Came to Siskin immediately after amputation of my foot and discharge from hospital. Facility is a combination of hospital and intense rehab facility. Drs and staff in the hospital are caring and attentive. Amazing OT and PT staff to help get you back on track. I was nervous about coming to rehab with COVID but my concerns were quickly allayed. Very clean with precautions against spreading or catching COVID. Recommend highly. Photos prohibited for obvious reasons or I would have sent some.
Thank you, James. We're honored you've chosen Siskin Hospital for your physical rehabilitation and will do everything possible to help you reach your goals. Keep up the good work with your therapists!
Fantastic experience: awesome staff!!!!!
Thanks, Brent!
Fantastic experience: I survived 4 strokes in one weekend. I needed physical, occupational and speech therapy. I had to move to Chattanooga and entered Siskin on an inpatient basis. I can not speak highly enough of Siskin. When I entered Siskin I was barely able to walk, bath or dress myself. I now live independently and have a very normal life. Yes, I am blessed but without Siskin I don’t believe I would have the quality of life that I do.
So glad we were there to help you get your life back, Eric! Thanks for letting us know.

Negative experience: Such a rip off!! TN law says I must have a letter from doctor releasing me to drive. I took the test and was told I passed but they will not release information to me. Said the notified my GP but he has heard nothing! $500 wasted from a hospital that when I was a patient waited over 12 hours to administer Catscan that showed I had second Stroke!!!! Stay away!!!!! They are thieves!!!!!!!
Siskin Hospital takes all concerns seriously. We encourage anyone with concerns to contact administration at (423) 634-1212 or the Quality and Compliance Department at (423) 634-4255.
Negative experience: Nurses are not very caring at all. They are NOT attentive to the patient’s needs. My husband was there and it took forever for him to get his pain medication and nausea medicine. Even though he never took pain medicine unless he desperately needed it; before or after his accident. The physical therapists and occupational therapists are phenomenal, but the nursing staff needs to learn to be sensitive to the patient needs!
We take your comments seriously. Please contact us at 634-4255 to discuss further.
Fantastic experience: My mother in law was in Siskin for 2 weeks after having a stroke. They were excellent! The staff was unbelievably helpful. Much, much better than Lifecare of Hixson. The therapy teams were amazing. I would highly recommend this facility to friends and family. Thank you for your help.
We're so glad we were here when you needed us, Anna! Thanks for letting us know how your mother-in-law's stay went.
Fantastic experience: I have had physical therapy as an outpatient at Siskin. My wife has as well. We were both very pleased with the professionalism and skill of the therapists who worked with each of us. My wife had a balance problem. We were surprised to learn that it could be treated with PT when we were referred to Siskin. Four years later she remains without balance problems. Thank you, Siskin. We have recommended Siskin to all our friends and family.
It's great to hear your wife is doing so well! Thank you for letting us know.
Fantastic experience: Pool therapy was the best for the back and leg pain!
Thank you!
Fantastic experience: Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation changes lives on a daily basis. It is amazing to see patients get back a quality of life many thought they would not experience again. The environment for patients, family, and associates is truly like a family. A great place for patients to recover and the best place to work!
Fantastic experience: My Mother was recently admitted to Siskin for a second time in a few short months. I wanted to let you know what wonderful care she received. During her second stay there, she received rehab care consistently from Melody & Kim. Those ladies went above and beyond for mom. They made mom feel like their family. I feel like mom excelled because of these two. Mom looked forward to seeing them every day and listened to what they told her and was eager to work and improve for them. Mom was hoping to go home around January 29 but Kim felt like she needed another week and mom immediately changed her thoughts for going home 1/29 but then focused on 2/5. She also went to work for these two. She had such a great attitude about being at Siskin. If we ever need rehab care again, we will not think twice about contacting Siskin. Thank you for helping our Mom and for having such a caring and helpful staff!
So glad to hear you mother is doing well! Thanks for letting us know, Cassandra.
Fantastic experience: Recovering from an injury was tough but the staff kept my focus on incremental improvement and continued to support my efforts. This led to my success and I continue to use their facilities to work toward a better outcome.
Thanks for letting us know how well you're doing!
Fantastic experience: believe in giving credit where credit is due. I have just finished my artificial knee replacement surgery and recovery. I had my surgery at Park Ridge East Ridge where they did a great job. When it was time to transfer me to rehab not knowing much about it, I chose Siskin Rehabilitation Hospital and I am very glad I did. Even though recovery of double knee surgery is very painful and not for the faint of heart, which is what I found out, there were so many kind, caring, knowledgeable, professionals at Siskin, I am still amazed at my progress. Starting with people on the acute care floor I want to thank nurse Kathy who when I need a transfusion at lunch time made me peanut butter and crackers to make sure my blood sugar didn't bottom out because I am living with diabetes. And she always had a cherry smile that helped lift my spirits. I want to thank Angela and Stacy also for their quality assistance and helping to keep.my mood up. Some of the techs I would like to thank are Cassandra, Allen, Terry, and Alexis. Allen, Terry and Alexis were super with how cheery they were too. One little thing that helped immensely was when they brought my food tray, the took off any seals or tops that covered the food. When you are in pain you really don't need any more aggravation getting to your food. By the way, the food was awesome. I was on a diabetic restricted diet and someone from good services came daily after supper to help me choose the next day's diet and had an app that counted my carbs. And when I went over the carb count they help make choices staying within my restricted diet. PT was tough but I hand some great physical therapist starting with Jenna and Autumn and then Occupational Therapist Michelle. Once I asked Autumn, "Do we have to do this today?," Iny usual whine and she said, "We have to at least try." She had me there because I couldn't argue with that logic. Outpatient PT was next. Emily was my first PT person and she was great and ways mindful of my pain level so I didn't lose ground by overdoing it. And I got to know PT people like Ross, David, Mitchell, and Margee. When I was in the acute care unit PT & OT were ever day sometimes PT more than once a day. I was glad for the weekend thinking no PT. Boy was I wrong. Valerie came on Saturdays. She was very kind and was mindful of.my pain level. Sometimes I got to work with her in the Outpatient gym too and she was a hot to work with. I also want to thank the folks in the appointment and sign in office, Shae and Lynda who kept me up on my appointments. I like the fact that a day or do before your appointment, they send a text reminder. I want to thank my Orthopedic doctor, Dr. Apyan for super care. This was an interesting journey. I can now do things I can do before my surgery. At 68 I am way too young to be relegated to a wheel chair for the test of my life. My mjaor goal was to climb up into my pickup truck and drive which I can now do. Yayyyy . I ❤️ Siskin
Susan, we're so glad you are doing so well! Thanks for letting us know of your experience. If you ever need help again, we're here for you!
Positive experience: VERY HEPFUL.NO COMPLAINTS
Thanks, Donna!
Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing experience with staff! It is good to know that there are people who are still genuinely caring and believe in 5 star service especially when people like me can be difficult to deal with. Thanks Siskin!
You are certainly welcome, Aaron! Please let us know if we can be of further help.
Fantastic experience: I was sent there by the VA for physical therapy. Great facility and therapist working there. I also want to give Lisa Morgan a big thumbs up for her cabia program. It helped me to understand what I was going through after having a tbi. Stroke survivors can do!!!!
Glad to hear how well you're doing, Dean - thanks for letting us know! And glad to hear you're taking advantage of the Brain Injury and Stroke support groups and all they have to offer.
Negative experience: Lack of communication with our family.
Negative experience: This place is just a joke i wouldn't recommend it to anyone, they wouldn't want to work with me after so long in outpatient just told me go to local gym workout on my own & sent me home with workout routines i can do at home, well really thanks just let a spinal cord patient who has no strength & control of his balance just do things on his own like he normal person smfh sad place and individuals what they get paid for
We do not find anyone by this name listed as an outpatient of Siskin Hospital. Please contact John Joyce, Outpatient Services Director at 634-1278, to discuss this case further if you are listed under another name. Thank you!
Negative experience: They were terrible, very hateful and rude.... I wouldn't leave my dog with those people.... January 2018
Negative experience: If I could give this facility zero stars that would be more appropriate. They are the lowest paid facility in the area along with major staff challenges. If you are not on the nurse managers pet list you are treated horribly, no matter how much you work. The nurse manager for Stroke and TBI is the worst manager ever in the 20 years of working in this career I have never experienced the lack of people skills, management training and HR Nightmare if someone wanted to push the letter she could be terminated. There is a reason she has had NUMEROUS harassment, and discrimination complaints filed and this goes back to before she even worked at Siskin how do you put someone like that into management? I give Dr Rider, Jenny Eaves PA-C and Dr Manalo 10 stars because they are amazing but when the physicians have issues with the manager, my vote is to keep them happy you can find a manager 7 days a week 24hrs a day. Thankful for the lessons learned during this time, it’s truly made me appreciate what a Great management team is!!!!!

Negative experience: My mom is a patient there and they have done nothing for her! I always thought they were supposed to be really good. Well they sure aren't!!! They didn't do a darn thing for her!! She still can't walk!! They let her go home in less than two weeks. I'm so disappointed in them. I am heartbroken!! I am going to talk to her attorney about this.
Negative experience: Every time I call I’m transferred or sent to a voicemail. No one I talk to is educated on anything. A lady behind a desk yelled at me when I went in for therapy one time. They have done nothing but make my recovery even more difficult. I was on the Neurology floor with a camera in my room and I couldn’t talk. They called in to check on my room and had already been told several times I couldn’t respond. They didn’t come to physically check on me until 20 minutes later. I could have been dead.
Negative experience: There are some subtle racist and xenophobic staff at Siskin Hospital. They will nit-pick and scrutinize everything you do, just to find a way to get you if you are not white or their pet . They are also liars, HR will give you the run around and have you jumping through hoops (like waiting 30 days for background check). Don't trust the smiling faces. They are hypocrites who will discuss and make complaints about you behind your backs instead of coming to you. Watch out for the billy goat looking UM on the third floor...she is a pitbull looking for the next victim.
Fantastic experience: My occasional dizziness is treated by Brooklynn et al. She listens well and is very focused that I never fall. She adapts treatment to work with my skills.
Fantastic experience: Let me start off by saying. Angels are here on earth. The staff are a blessing for my mom. So kind, caring, and gentle. Everyday they make us feel so welcome. With the daily dedication and hard work they do. No words cam be enough. Thank you, for the love you give to all your patients. God bless you!
We feel privileged to care for your mom and all our patients. Thanks for your kind words, Stacy!
Fantastic experience: Bilateral knee replacement the staff awesome
So glad it went well and we could be there for you, India!
Negative experience: My mom was admitted for post stroke therapy. The therapy was good and the doctors competent. But, horrors, the staff had little respect for the wishes of my mother. They bossed her around like a child. When she decided to leave, they took hours before they would let her leave. And as I said, all disrespectful to her on this issue. She was a teacher all her life and has been complaining of the disrespect ever since. I should clarify that the doctor was not the one delaying her; that was the charge nurses.
Fantastic experience: The staff is awesome and friendly. Very clean and patients are very well taken care of. The CNAs are wonderful caring women and work very hard.
Thanks, Jenny!
Fantastic experience: Had stroke in 11/15, spent 5 weeks, plus out patient, can walk independently now. Best PT, OT, psych! Ask about Camp Carlos.
So glad we could be there when you needed us, Thomas! Thanks for the kind words.
Fantastic experience: Always helpful and concerned about my health
We are glad to be of service, Daniel - thanks for the good words!
Fantastic experience: My spouse goes here to manage his arthritis the drs.and all other staff here are phenomenal! Super place and great drs.here.
Thanks, Joyce - glad we can help!
Negative experience: Gunbarrel location: Girl at the front desk is very rude! Terrible service! Never got a reminder call about my appointment time, tried calling from the minute they opened and for 3 hours no one answer the phone or returned my phone call. Finally someone answered, after me trying to call every Siskin operator/office, only to be told I missed my appointment and the next available was a week later. I was also told that it's an IT dept issue that I didn't get a reminder call. The lady was extremely rude and not helpful at all for someone working in health care.
Negative experience: My mom is currently there and i was talking with her on the phone at 8:50 pm and she had call for assistance for the nurse before I call her. The nurse came to her room 20 minutes later and spoke with an assertive tone that their was an emergency and she could not tell her what it was and she would deal with her after. I ask my mom what was the nurse name I call the front desk and the nurse's station several time no answer then finally someone answer the front desk and I ask the young lady who was the supervisor name and could she she page her, said she was a CNA and the supervisor (Terri) was assisting with the emergency. about 10 minutes later another nurse came to my mom room and told her she would return 2 minutes later to assist her. She return 5 minutes later and the supervisor (Terri) was with her asking my mom was she okay. I ask to speak with the supervisor and inform her how the nurse had a spoken to my mom. Terri inform me she knew who the nurse was and would speak with her about that and there was an emergency and there was someone available to assist the other patient on the floor. Which was not true. i told her I been calling the front desk and the nurse's station and no one answer. She said well the nurse did bring something to them when they were in the emergency situation. It seem their not enough staff to handle one (1) emergency neglecting the other patients in this facility. Terri said she had taken the report and I would be contacted regarding the incident. If the people this facility employ do not have compassion for their job they are in the wrong profession.
Fantastic experience: Want to thank everyone who helped my husband Robert all the staff from the doctors, nurses, and all the physical, speech, and occupational therapist and the CNAS. everyone who has a injury to their head should be able to get the latest care and attention that he received, he is doing a lot better thanks to their care plan. Also thank you for the case manager and all her help to make it easier on me. God Bless each and every one of you :) You are really wonderful people.
Thanks, Denise - Robert's improvement is wonderful news! Appreciate your sharing with us, and warm wishes to you both during this holiday season.
