Fantastic experience: Never would have guessed that PT could be so enjoyable. Johnny is a wizard at his profession and makes it seem normal for someone to be twisting your head around. He is accurate as he is thorough and his quick wit/kind nature are a fun bonus. The entire staff is genuine, caring, and full of personality. I am so grateful to be on the path of strength and healing, all thanks to them. 10/10 wouldn’t recommend getting injured but would 100%, 10/10, 5 stars recommend dealing with your injury at Excel.

Nina, WOW, an amazing therapist! Nina treated me with compassion from minute one and guided me through rehab! 5 stars all around for Nina!

Fantastic experience: I slumped in with lower back pain and have progressively begun to get better with each visit and walk out feeling great. Nina and the team are great to work with and provide excellent one on one care. I tried other methods of care before trying PT but quickly realized this was where I should have started in the first place. Hopefully after this I won't have to come back, but if I do ever need other PT care, Excel will be my only choice!

Fantastic experience: I’m a long-time runner (53 years) with chronic teninopathy. Johnny Case knows his stuff and is willing to try lots of treatment options to put me on the path to recovery. Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Excel at Northshore. My therapist Nina is superb, very knowledgeable and engaging. She helped me get back a full range of motion after reverse total shoulder replacement surgery. She even wrote up some exercises for me to do on the machines in the fitness room at my condo.

Fantastic experience: I have been to at least six other PT’s in Chattanooga. This is the BEST! All the therapists are very caring and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is excellent. They don’t just set you to doing routine exercises for your condition they tailor it to you individually. Even if not by your side they keep an eye on you and are there immediately should you require anything . I have been there for two periods working on different problems and been helped both times. David Brackett runs the program like clockwork while maintaining professionalism and high quality.

Fantastic experience: I've been putting off therapy for a few years now, constantly dealing with neck pain and headaches. Dependent on ibuprofen and sometimes muscle relaxers just for a good night of uninterrupted sleep became the norm. I finally caved and went to Excel Rehab for therapy and saw Jacob. He listened to my problems/concerns and really honed in on the issue. After 5 weeks of consistent treatment and care, I've discharged from PT and I've been headache free for 4 weeks straight and sleeping like a baby. No medication has been needed and I find myself with no headaches throughout the days as well. Therapy consisted of hands on, manual therapy by my therapist and he incorporated good stretches and strength training regimen. Dry needling was used some visits as well, to which I saw great benefit from. Overall a great experience and the clinic has a great vibe with the staff always make it an enjoyable atmosphere while truly showing they care for their patients.

Fantastic experience: Nina provides prompt service and is knowledgeable and explains why she's doing each treatment or exercise. The atmosphere at Excel is positive and full of energy and hope for physical improvement, no matter what your injury. Highly recommend Excel and Nina for all PT need!

Fantastic experience: Nina at Excel in Northshore has helped to alleviate my pain. She always explains what is going on with my body and the reason for the movements to make. We are still working together on my pain. I highly recommend Nina, she is very professional and she really cares about alleviating the pain. I know it doesn't happen for the first time, but it did for me. I could hardly walk on my leg, she did a movement and the excruciating pain was gone. When I came back for my next session I had to give her a hug! I would say I'm about 70% better. I can sleep at night now without waking up b/c of pain. It is a process, but totally worth it. :-) The whole crew there are caring.

Fantastic experience: Johnny is fantastic. He is patient and listens to my issues. He then tailors the appointment to my needs if there are struggles. He is pleasant and very punctual. When I go there, I know I am going to challenged a bit but it is always within reason and to provide the best result in the long run. I hope to not have any more physical issues that requires therapy but if I do, there is no decision to be made on where I would go. It will be at the Northshore location for Excel

Throughout my years I have been to quite a few physical therapies and no other place can compete with the care that I have experienced here. I have David as my therapist and I would put him up against any therapist. Like I said I cannot say enough about David or this place.

Fantastic experience: I’m 70 years old and I played sports most of my life. Needless to say, there were several injuries along the way that required PT. The staff at Excel is the best I have ever worked with. David Brackett is by far the most skilled therapist I have ever worked with and Capri is so cheerful and helpful when scheduling appointments! Fantastic experience: I have had physical therapy with Austin twice at Excel Northshore for separate running-related injuries and both times have resulted in positive outcomes. As a fellow runner, Austin not only quickly identified what care I needed, he educated me on the injuries and helped me understand what I needed to do in and out of the clinic. I, personally, have been very lucky to continue to train during my therapy times with Austin. He advised me on mechanics, what to do both pre and post runs to recover healthy, and gave me strength exercises to stay healthy after therapy discontinued. I’m very appreciative of the specialized care I received. And in my time there, I saw many other patients had the same experience from the other therapists, assistants, and front office staff. I would highly recommend this facility!

Fantastic experience: Diane Rawlings I just completed 2 1/2 months of therapy at Excel. David was therapist but I feel like everybody cared about my getting better. Excel is professional but with a down-home feel. I felt like I was walking into my home rather than a place where I was seen as a patient or customer. I Started as an unknown and ended as someone that couldn't wait to get back twice a week to see everyone. We would work hard but we would also laugh. They cared about my problems physically of course, but even more so just how I was in general. Did I need encouragement? Did I need support?? If so, found those things in abundance. But I was there to get my body to work better for me and my lifestyle. Did that happen? Oh yes!! They were a bunch of tough people pushing me and helping me and getting me to be the best self I could become! David pulled no punches and kept challenging me and my body to do more than I thought I ever could. Thank you so much to all of you!!

Fantastic experience: I had a hurt ankle that did not feel well when at work or even just walking around. I found out that I had posterior tibial tendon dysfunction (PTTD) which is a condition caused by changes in the tendon, impairing its ability to support the arch. I was told to go to Excel Rehab & Sports to help strengthen the tendon. Jacob did just that. For the past 2 and a half months, he has helped me strengthen my ankle so it doesn't hurt anymore (aka graduated)! Jacob was very attentive when I told him where it hurt and how I felt each visit. The staff was amazing and helpful. I always looked forward to my sessions and enjoyed the laughs with the staff and other therapists. I highly recommend going to this team because they are awesome! THANK YOU GUYS!!!!

Fantastic experience: I am a Frequent Flyer with Excel Rehab and Sports. After 36 visits in 2020 for sundry body parts, I have seen all of the therapists work their magic. Austin, at the North Shore location, provided outstanding care, following recent knee surgery. With his help, I exceeded my surgeon’s time-line for recovery. Nobody likes to be sidelined with an injury, but Austin and the other therapists have created an atmosphere that makes going to therapy-dare I say-fun? These therapists are dead serious about what they do, but they make it easy to have a good time while you’re there. I don’t know if laughter is the BEST medicine, but Excel understands that it helps you do the work to feel better.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to David at Excel after a shoulder nerve release surgery. I could not have had a better experience. David is extremely knowledgeable and put together a great rehab program. Since completion I am completely pain free and stronger than I ever was pre-op. He not only addressed rehab from the surgery but also postural/mechanical issues that led to the initial nerve compression, to prevent any future problems. The office is in a convenient location, the staff are friendly and helpful. They made working to with insurance and scheduling effortless. I would highly recommend them for any PT needs

Fantastic experience: I CAME TO AUSTIN WITH BURSITIS IN MY RIGHT HIP AND A CHRONIC IMPINGEMENT IN MY RIGHT SHOULDER. BOTH WERE VERY PAINFUL. I COULD BARELY WALK UP STAIRS AND MY SHOULD USE WAS VERY LIMITED. AUSTIN STAYED WITH ME UNTIL ALL OF THE PAIN IN BOTH REGIONS OF MY BODY WERE PAIN FREE. I BELIEVE THAT OTHER PHYSICAL THERAPISTS WOULD HAVE DISMISSED ME SOONER, WITHOUT COMPLETE RESOLUTION. I AM VERY GRATEFUL FOR THE KNOWLEDGE THAT MADE ME WHOLE AGAIN, THE KINDNESS THAT I RECEIVED AND THE GENERAL PROFESSIONALISM DISPLAYED BY ALL THE STAFF. THANK YOU EXCEL.

Fantastic experience: Excel is the third rehab place I’ve been in and the most excellent by far. My therapist, Austen K., gave lots of one-on-one attention. He was knowledgeable about my problem and used traditional and creative approaches to solve it. If you want a professional approach with a high probability of success, try Excel Northshore.

Fantastic experience: Started my injury recovery journey at the Northshore Excel location and was very pleased with the staff dedication and personalized approach! Austin educated me on my injury, took the time to research unique treatment options that would best benefit me, and ultimately referred me to where I needed to be for further treatment. I had seen many medical professionals beforehand, and Austin was the first to take a genuine approach and interest to figuring out the best recovery route for me. All of the staff there are dedicated to seeing positive patient outcomes and this would be my preferred PT location should an injury arise again. Thanks Excel and Austin!

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic PT place! I have had three knee surgeries to repair ACL/meniscus in as many years. I came to them for my most recent and was thrilled with the level of expertise, care, and helpfulness they displayed. The staff is so welcoming the second you walk in the door. Nate took care of countless questions I had as I am here for college and had to deal with medical care for myself for the first time alone. I personally had Jeff as my PT, he was extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly (all the other PTs are fantastic as well). It's a great comfortable atmosphere, and Jeff really listened and helped me navigate an injury and got me back to an active, quality lifestyle! Honestly would give them 6 stars if I could!

Its hard to be young and have mobility issues, but I was made to feel accepted and understood by everyone from the gentleman at the front desk to my therapist. Fantastic experience: I was recently thrown from a horse and tore my ACL and Meniscus. I started PT with Jeremy Shook to bring down swelling before surgery and couldn’t even climb stairs. He brought me back to almost full mobility BEFORE surgery. I have complete confidence in him. I’m now seeing Jeremy for chronic neck/shoulder pain and tension headaches/migraines. After just a few appointments I’m already experiencing pain free days and I’m thrilled! All the guys here are incredibly knowledgeable and great teachers. I’m an RN so have a medical background but am constantly learning new things. Jeremy and Dave keep the atmosphere upbeat and light. I have anxiety but they put me so at ease so it’s not an issue at PT.
