Fantastic experience: Our grandmother was placed here after being discharged from the hospital. She opted out of rehab (at first) but ended up having some issues once she got home. I called several rehab hospitals in the area and nobody would return my call or answer the phone. I called encompass and they immediately answered the phone and I was able to speak to an actual person. I explained the issues and was told someone would contact me. In less than 10 minutes, Taylor, the rehab liaison, called me and started the process. Not only did she get our grandmother admitted within the hour, but she set up transportation which was a huge concern we had. She was friendly and answered every question we had. The hospital is clean and everyone is very friendly and accommodating. Our grandmother has came a long way in just 6 days. She was hesitant to go but ended up enjoying her stay. They helped her get the adaptive devices she needed and help us set up home health. I can't say enough good things about this facility!

Fantastic experience: I just want to thank all the staff at encompass. My mother was discharged yesterday. My father had stayed there a couple times when he was alive, back when it was called Health South. Everyone there is so kind and patient and my mother was so happy with everybody. This was her second stay. The nurses, the ladies who brought her her meals, Dr. Short, and all the people that she dealt with in therapy were terrific! It was nice to know that she was so taking care of. It gave me a great deal of peace of mind. This is a wonderful place. Thanks again to all of you. My mom, Mary Springer sends her thanks too.????????????????????????

Fantastic experience: Encompass Health was great. Mercy hospital had just left my father in law in bed to get worse. They told us he needed to go to a nursing home. I had to make them put in a referral for Encompass and I’m glad I did. He was up walking and taking care of himself in two weeks. The nursing staff and therapists were amazing. If you have someone who could benefit from therapy you need to make the referral for Encompass and don’t trust the local hospitals to do it for you. Encompass Health was an amazing experience for my family.

Fantastic experience: My grandmother recently had an exceptional experience as a patient at Encompass Health. The dedicated staff provided her with professional, compassionate care every step of the way. At 86 years old, we knew she needed the intensive rehab therapy only found at an inpatient facility like Encompass. An Encompass liaison met my grandmother at Baptist Hospital to explain the rehab process and work with insurance to get her admitted. Within 48 hours of admission, a case manager and administrators had already met with her to ensure a smooth transition from Baptist to Encompass. The nursing staff diligently monitored her recovery. One example is a thoughtful nurse tech who was kind and encouraging while explaining my grandmother's transfer and walking progress in detail. The therapists worked tirelessly with her for three hours a day. The environmental services team kept her room clean and tidy. Everyone was polite, dedicated, and truly invested in her recovery. She had a minor medical setback, which she recovered from in approximately 72 hours, thanks to the rehab physician's swift observations and response. By discharge, she had made remarkable progress that would not have been possible without the individualized, attentive rehab therapy at Encompass. My grandmother is now thriving back in her home and I credit the wonderful staff at Encompass for providing the compassionate care and intensive rehab she needed. We are so grateful for this exceptional facility and the dedicated people who work there.
