Evolution Physical Therapy

Fantastic experience: Dry needling has been a cure for me! I had a very old hip injury (turns out a sprain) for many many years I went to see different orthopedic doctors that could not find anything wrong based on the xrays and the MRIs, their diagnosis: Bursitis of the hip. Most of them recommended physical therapy, which I did but pain would return, others recommended cortisone shots and even surgery last resort. Well I did NOT want any of them, even though I was NOT able to do squats, or run, or bicycle (these movements would aggravate my hip pain). THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HEARD OF DRY NEEDELING, (where they insert a very thin needle (like acupuncture needle) targeting the tight muscle, and quickly removing the needle) and VOILA the pain is GONE!! I don't like needles, not a phobia but just don't like them. I had 4 needles inserted total, 3/4 were not painful at all just a small discomfort. There's soreness the next day but PAIN FREE and STILL pain free after 1.5 months. Amazing just AMAZING! Now I just need to strengthen the muscles in the hip and leg areas, they gave me exercises to do at home. Ken, Rebecca, and Mona are all very friendly and accommodating. Would def recommend to others ! FYI. I only went to the Gaithersburg location, small and renovated and there are many other practices in the same building. IF you park on the largest parking lot its easier to find their practice.

Fantastic experience: I met Dr. Ken Lou recently when my podiatrist referred me due to an issue with my foot. Dr. Lou was very patient, kind, and took the time to get to know me and the issues I was experiencing. He recommended dry needling which helped tremendously! All of the PT sessions and exercises that Dr. Lou taught me were extremely helpful. I am so grateful to him for helping me feel better. I would highly recommend Dr. Lou!

Fantastic experience: I worked with Ken for roughly 7 months after a traumatic ankle injury and through several reconstruction surgeries. He was helpful, encouraging, knowledgeable, flexible, and overall an integral part of me making a full recovery in such a short period of time. I cannot recommend his practice highly enough, for any physical pain or injury you might be experiencing. The best PT around!!

Fantastic experience: Ken is a fantastic physical therapist. As an athlete, I really like his approach because he focuses on addressing issues properly and quickly, using multiple tools, techniques, and approaches. He provides his patients with knowledge and tools (stretches, exercises, etc.) they can use to help address their issues at home. Ken is also very knowledgeable about how to best utilize insurance. He has helped me resolve some very challenging issues in my leg muscles (I'm a runner) while making maximum use of my insurance. I highly recommend Ken to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I’m an existing and very happy patient of Evolution Physical Therapy. After a couple of treatments with Ken my plantar fasciitis healed in record time. It was a fantastic experience. I recently started having pain and swelling in the top of my foot. I was very concerned and saw Ken for treatment of this. With one dry needling treatment I had 50% reduction in pain, so I am certainly heading back for a second treatment this week. This place is a gem!!!!! Please do yourselves a favor and if you are suffering from muscle pain, go see them! He really can help you have a better quality of life.
