Methadone is a medication used as part of a comprehensive Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. Methadone is an FDA-approved, highly studied and regulated medication used to help individuals recover from opioid addiction. Decades of research shows methadone to be highly effective in treating patients by stopping withdrawal symptoms and cravings.
Methadone acts as a stabilizer in the body rather than as an opioid drug that is used for its euphoric effects. When taken as prescribed, methadone helps patients function physically, emotionally and intellectually without impairment. Methadone does not produce mood swings, drowsiness or narcotic effects. By contrast, painkillers and heroin destabilize individuals and lead them to many risk behaviors that have severe consequences.
Approved for clinical use since 2002, both buprenorphine and Suboxone are medications used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan that includes counseling and participation in social support programs. At the appropriate levels, both buprenorphine and Suboxone are safe and effective. Both have several benefits including lowering the potential for misuse, and suppressing opioid withdrawal and craving symptoms. Studies indicate that buprenorphine is equally as effective as lower doses of methadone, however, it is not as effective for patients with higher levels of physical dependency where methadone is a better option to reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
Counseling is the key to achieving long-lasting success. It helps patients understand the nature of addiction as a disease, the effects of the disease on the brain and their behaviors. Through counseling, individuals explore why they became addicted, what triggers are associated with addiction and ways to establish resilient plans that will make improvements across all areas of their lives.
Counselors in individual, group and family settings, help patients learn how to better cope with stress, handle setbacks and loss and find new ways of improving. Patients reap better results for enduring success when they dedicate the appropriate amount of time to counseling in addition to Medication-Assisted Treatment.
This treatment center is a NARCAN® distribution site. NARCAN® Nasal Spray is a prescription medicine used for the treatment of a known or suspected opioid overdose emergency with signs of breathing problems and severe sleepiness or not being able to respond. Treatment is to be given right away and does not take the place of emergency medical care. The administration of this medication is oftentimes the single event that saves a life.
NARCAN® Nasal Spray will be available to not only patients but all individuals in need of naloxone. This is a confidential and educational program as an instructional pamphlet will be given at distribution and any questions will be answered.
NARCAN® is safe to use for overdoses from the following opioids (prescribed and non-prescribed): Oxycodone, Acetaminophen with codeine phosphate, Opium, OxyContin®, Roxicodone®, Oxecta®, Lorcet®, Oxaydo®, Xtampza ER®, Percodan®, Targiniq®, Xartemis XR®, Oxycet®, Roxicet®, Tylox®, Percocet®, Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen, Vicodin®, Norco®, Zamicet®, Verdrocet®, Lortab®, Anexsia®, Co-Gesic®, Hycet®, Liquicet®, Maxidone®, Xodol 10/300®, Zolvit®, Zydone®, Hydrocodone bitartrate, Sysingla®, Zohydro ER®, Hydrocodone-Homatropine, Hycodan®, Hydromet®, Hyrdocodone-Ibuprofen, Ibudone®, Xylon 10®, Reprexain®, Vicoprofen®, Pseudoephedrine-Hydrocodone, Rezira®, Hydrocodone-Clorpheniramine, Vituz®, Hydrocodone-Cpm-Pseudoephed, Zutripro®, Morphine, Duramorph®, Infumorph P/F®, MS Contin®, Oramorph SR®, Avinza®, Arymo ER®, Kadian®, Morphabond®, Roxanol-T®, Morphine-Naltrexone, Embeda®, Hydromorphone, Dilaudid®, Exalgo®, Palladone®, Fentanyl Citrate, Actiq®, Fentora®, Abstral®, Lazanda®, Onsolis®, Sublimaze®, Fentanyl, Duragesic®, Subsys®, Codeine Poli-Chlorphenir Poli, Tuzistra XR®, Methadone, Dolophine®, Methadone Hydrochloride, Methadose®, Morphine Sulfate, Oxymorphone Hydrochloride, Opana®, Meperidine, Demerol®, Tramadol, Carfentanil, Buprenorphine, Subatex®, Buprenex®, Butrans®, Probuphine® and Heroin.
New Season Treatment Center – Gastonia: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Grateful for this place and love all the staff there sometimes there's a wait but better than being in the streets
Positive experience: Treat us like we’re nobody some of them do. People at the window , Nurses I guess are so rude to us. People go there to get help not be ridiculed. It takes a lot for someone to even ask for help. These people need to be more compassionate. Other than that I’m not talking about everyone. Just 90 percent of em.
Positive experience: First and foremost this place saved my life! My fiancee and I have been coming here for almost 2 years now and it has most definitely changed our lives for the better! With all that being said from day one I was told I needed to have all my money upfront there's no charging and paying later! I go in last week and Melissa tells me that I owe over 650 dollars, there's no way! I've never been allowed to charge even one day! So how is it all of a sudden I owe money?! I've tried several times to discuss this problem with Melissa but she's absolutely no help! If I have to be honest Melissa treats you more like a number than the person you are! Something's going on here with the money and I hope they get a handle on it! My thing is you guys have cameras, show me where I didn't pay, because there's absolutely NO WAY!
Positive experience: I've been going here almost 2 years and have been getting take homes over a year and I've only charged a couple times when I first started and always paid the very next day well today I went to pay and the lady told me that I owe $125 for where I've been charging and I do not owe them anything. But most people I've talked to said that I will have to pay it because they've been doing everybody like that since they've gotten the egage app. My friend goes everyday and pays but a couple weeks ago they took $90 when he paid for his doses saying that he owed it and wasn't going to let him dose unless he paid. I use to like this place but it has gotten terrible in the last 3 month's. And another they want even let people charge so how in the hell would they let someone get over a hundred dollars behind. Maybe if they could keep help they wouldn't have this problem. I went to take a drug test one morning and the lady was under a blanket with a little heater and I had to knock and knock to wake her up so I could take my test. If they steal my money from me I'm going to look for somewhere else to go that can keep up with there paperwork because that's a lot of my that I don't have. I go every Thursday and pay $105 4 time's a month and I have proof when I use my card but guess what there card machine is gone no×. Wonder why but they will be writing me a receipt for now on. I just hope someone can take care of this and see that I don't owe them anything.
