Athletico Physical Therapy - Chesapeake (Crossway Center)

Fantastic experience: Great experience. I went in for therapy on a dislocated shoulder. I had a lot of rotator and bicep pain, weakness and muscle loss. I now have full range of motion, am able to pull myself up into my truck. I still have some strength training to continue but I'm able to lift light weights. Awesome staff, professional, knowledgeable and fun as well. From check in through the whole process was smooth and they treat you like a person and not just another number. If I have any issues in the future I would definitely use Athletico Physical Therapy in Chesapeake.

Positive experience: I asked to see another Doctor and I was told by the receptionist they need to request a letter from the previous Dr I've seen ( one time ) so I've waited. 3 weeks past, I never received the phone call so I fallow up. I told the receptionist I needed the shot and the new doctor that I saw didn't want to give me ( cortisone shot ) that I needed before my run. I've waited 30 minutes and she never apologized for being late. It's like patient are supposed to wait regardless. I decided to find a new Dr. I was disappointed the way the phone was answered too. I know not all of them. First they hang up the phone so I have to call back. Of course u can't see them. So the whole experience was disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Phil and his team are amazing! They get patients scheduled quickly to start therapy! Anytime Dr Goldberg refers a patient for physical therapy Pivot is always our go to facility for our patients! We appreciate everything they do for our office and patients!

Fantastic experience: I just finished my PT with Athletico in Chesapeake and I feel fantastic! I started out with severe pain in my lower back and left leg and now pleased that I can now perform the task I could not accomplish at the beginning ! When you walk in, you are greeted warmly from the front desk associate which immediately puts you at ease. The Therapist Hannah and Brianna were knowledgeable, patient with me and really cared about my well being. They gave me instructions which helped me at home as well while on this journey. I feel great now and I will always remember how they helped me get back what I thought I had lost for good. Athletico Physical Therapy in Chesapeake is the best!!!!!! Just call them, you won’t regret it, your body will thank you for it!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: From the moment you walk in the door to Athletico, you are Dr Ryan Abshear’s primary concern. Each person’s PT session is specifically geared to their needs and goals that they are working toward. Whether they need to work on the physical aspect of their job or the intricate moves of their sport or any number of physical ailments, Ryan shows them how to get stronger then teaches them how to better perform their tasks so that they will not re-injure themselves. I highly recommend Athletico at Greenbrier in Chesapeake.

Fantastic experience: Ryan Abshear, Athletico Clinic Manager & Physical Therapist, is also a therapy specialist for correcting jaw & mouth injuries. I received this form of therapy after an oral surgery injury to my jaw that left me unable to open my mouth more than 8 cm & barely able to eat more than soup on the tip of a spoon. Ryan worked specific ligaments & jaw muscles to fully restore my health in 1 month. I am grateful for his dedication and skill. Tony Grayson.

Fantastic experience: The team of Gayle (the office manager) and Ryan Abshear was a most pleasurable and delightful experience such that I always looked forward to my sessions. At 70 years of age, I’ve had a lot of PT sessions such that I can confidently say that having Ryan Abshear as my PT trainer has been such that I can confidently say that he is on of the best physical therapist I’ve had!! He has a very keen sense on how to ashore the patient on the corrections needed to correctly perform the exercises.

Fantastic experience: I was recently a patient at the Chesapeake/Greenbrier location and I have to give kudos to Ryan, Physical Therapist. He was always welcoming, professional, optimistic, and he was sincerely invested in improving your health condition and quality of life. Additionally, the clinic was always clean and orderly. Should I need physical therapy again in the future, I’ll definitely return to that location.

Fantastic experience: I never actually had the opportunity to go here. Was trying to get a worker's compensation claim and use this facility, however I was not able to. Ryan the guy that called me was super nice and very communicative. He helped me even find a place I can use. Thank you

Fantastic experience: I am so glad I found this place! I was very active playing basketball and training to spar until I injured both of my shoulders. I couldn’t do push-ups, pull-ups due to the pain and became discouraged. I was ready to give up until I was sent to physical therapy. My physical therapist Christy is amazing! She keeps me motivated to not give up, and within a month I could do push-ups again! I never ever thought I would be excited to go to physical therapy. Thank you Athletico and thank you Christy!
