Grace Pointe Rehabilitation Center

Grace Pointe has 26 studios dedicated to post-hospital, short-term senior rehabilitation offering physical, occupational and speech therapies.

To ensure maximum comfort within the rehab center, each patient has their own room, complete with a European shower, specialized beds designed for comfort, a lovely private dining room, and a nurse call system. Click here to see our rehab floor plan. 

The Grace Pointe rehab center also includes occupational therapy for recovering patients to work with therapists on their activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, eating, etc., promoting a smooth transition to their lives back home.

All types of therapy, particularly physical therapy, are crucial for the well-being of our senior community. Therapy, including physical, emotional, and psychological support, plays a vital role in promoting overall health, preventing falls, and fostering independence.

Physical therapy helps seniors discover new exercises to maintain mobility, flexibility, and strength, crucial for preventing age-related health issues. It also addresses challenges like the risk of falls by improving balance and coordination.

Additionally, therapy provides crucial emotional and psychological support, helping seniors cope with challenges and maintain mental well-being. The ultimate goal is to empower seniors to age in place with confidence and independence, embracing a holistic approach to their health and happiness.

Mick grew up on a farm in eastern Colorado and completed his high school education in 2011 with two associate degrees in science and art. He then earned an ATC and a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine from Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, CO in 2014. He continued his studies at Morgan Community College and obtained his PTA License in 2015. Mick has worked as a PTA for eight years in various settings, including skilled nursing facilities, home health therapy and currently as the Director of Rehabilitation at Grace Pointe Senior Care Community. Mick likes to spend his free time with his wife and two dogs, as well as golfing and hunting with his father.

Wendy graduated from Loma Linda University in California in 1995. She worked in numerous settings in Montana and Colorado but mostly enjoys the senior population. She says their wisdom and humor inspires her. She has been married to the love of her life for 27 years. She is blessed and often stressed by her three teenage children. She was drawn to Grace Point by its small community feel, the sense of camaraderie and the high standard of care for the residents. Her interests include reading, exercise, cooking, Bible study, her flower garden and outdoor adventures with her family.

Cheri has been a therapist since 1994. She says she loves being able to help people regain their independence after life changing events. She has been married 26 years and has two children. She stays busy enjoying the outdoors with her family and her Border Collie.

Kathy graduated in 1980 as a COTA and then an Occupational Therapist in 1995. She has worked in schools, Intensive care in the hospital and skilled nursing facilities for the last 27 years. Her passion is helping amputees and those with severe strokes. She has worked at Grace Pointe since 2011 and says she loves working here because the staff work well together, with the mutual goal of helping patients regain their independence and return home.

Teneile has been practicing occupational therapy for the past 12 years. She said she enjoys helping people get back on their feet after experiencing an illness or injury. As an occupational therapist her focus is on helping others become more independent with activities of daily living and likes to make sure they have fun doing it. She joined the Grace Pointe team 9 years ago and says she loves working at Grace Pointe because of the friendly staff and positive atmosphere. She enjoys spending her free time with her family, church activities, fishing, camping, jogging, knitting, and going to the beach.
