The Therapy Center of Hendersonville

Fantastic experience: I cannot even begin to explain how much this physical therapy helped, both before surgery and after. Kelly worked with me before the surgery (total hip replacement) to get me strong enough to travel to Spain. I flew 9 hrs, played tourist, enjoyed my daughters new home, and flew back. Exercises specifically for the quads, ice, and gentle massage - Then after the surgery, I worked on learning to walk without a limp, lifting my feet (instead of dragging), doing stairs and just "normal" everyday movements instead of using machines. In comparison to other people that have had this surgery, my recovery was quick. Even the doctor was happy with the rehab. Walker went away in 2nd week, cane away by 3rd. 2 months out and I can jump, dance and play with my grandchildren - thank you Kelly and The Therapy Center.

Fantastic experience: I hurt my shoulder many years ago and had rotator cuff surgery. A few years ago I started having issues with my shoulder (pain, weakness) which was around the same time Covid hit. I went to see an orthopedic surgeon for evaluation, and the surgeon told me I needed a shoulder replacement. I didn’t want to do that, so I just kept living with it. When I finally told my primary care doctor, he did not want me to have a replacement but felt PT would definitely help. I asked around and a friend of mine told me about The Therapy Center. Long story short, I got the referral, saw Kelley Southard, and after 6 weeks of therapy went from having a frozen shoulder with only about 40% use, to having at least 85-90% use of my arm. The exercises Kelley gave me are the tools I use when my shoulder gives me issues before it gets too bad. I definitely recommend the Center and thank Kelley for all her help.

Fantastic experience: I had a tumor removed from my left knee and a synovectomy of the same knee. Based on the good reviews and their in-network status with my insurance, I decided to give The Therapy Center of Hendersonville a try. I'm so thankful I did, because Kelley helped me tremendously! From the get go, scheduling and everything was a breeze with Jane from the front desk being so helpful. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional. The location is conveniently located and the center is clean and well equipped. My therapy with Kelley got me back in business before I knew it. She has a great balance of gentleness and challenging you to progress. And the sessions were always fun too! Kelley is down to earth and she really knows her stuff. At the same time, she also seems to really care about the individual. She's always more than willing to answer any questions you may have or address any concerns. After each session I had noticeable improvement. Plus she would give me realistic at home exercise goals that furthered my progress. I highly recommend this place for your PT needs and will absolutely go back if there's a need in the future! Thanks Kelley and The Therapy Center!!
