Become a well-rounded and highly competent clinician with our three-year doctor of physical therapy program.
Update: Pacific University’s Forest Grove, Hillsboro and Eugene campuses, and all Pacific healthcare clinics, remain closed all day Friday, Jan. 19. More Details
The primary goal of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program is to graduate a well-rounded and highly competent clinician. Fifteen full-time faculty members with diverse clinical backgrounds, along with adjunct faculty, offer an entry-level curriculum that is well balanced in the areas of orthopedic, neurologic, and general physical therapy with attention to the needs of pediatric patients, geriatric patients, and other special populations.
Our Doctor of Physical Therapy program runs three academic years with summers off. Starting at the end of the first year of study, clinical learning experiences are intermixed with the academic coursework. By graduation, students have spent 39 weeks in full-time clinical learning experiences. We currently affiliate with hundreds of clinic sites across 22 states and 4 countries, with the majority located in the Pacific Northwest.
Pacific University provides this General Disclosure to students prior to enrollment or financial commitment. Successful completion of the Physical Therapy program has been compared to the educational requirements for licensure or certification required for employment in each State and US Territory.
Students are advised to determine, prior to enrollment, whether the program meets licensure requirements in the State or Territory in which the Student is located.
