Mercy Hospital Joplin has been a healing presence in the southwestern Missouri area for over a century. Today, we continue providing compassionate medical and specialty care on our campus, conveniently located just south of I-44 off South Main St.

Every minute matters when it comes to stroke. Mercy Hospital Joplin is a designated Level 2 Stroke Center and earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Heart-Check mark for Advanced Certification for Primary Stroke Centers. We provide 24/7 access to lifesaving neurological care, with the expertise and technological resources to quickly diagnose and treat any type of stroke within one hour of arrival.

Our Orthopedic physicians utilize Mako SmartRobotics™, a state-of-the-art minimally invasive robot, for partial and total hip and knee replacement. The robot increases surgical accuracy which reduces overall pain and the patient’s recovery process, restoring not only mobility but peace of mind, knowing they can enjoy a more active and independent life.

Mercy Hospital Joplin offers dual energy CT scans with the Cannon Prism, which allows for improved cardiac imaging, decreased scan time, improved image resolution and decreased radiation on all patients. This advanced technology is designed with patient safety and satisfaction in mind.
