Fantastic experience: All of the therapists (Liam, Cary & Mike) I’ve worked with at Athletico South have been fabulous. They ask appropriate questions about my symptoms and pain then listen carefully to my answers, are thorough, provide one-on-one therapy for at least half of the visit and when working with another patient at the same time frequently check in on my progress. Shannon at the front desk is very kind and helpful as well.

Fantastic experience: I have been to physical therapy in years past, but my experience with Mike and Cary far exceeded in quality what I’d experienced before. It was the expertise of many years coupled with sheer talent that I was impressed by. I went to them because I saw firsthand the success both my husband and daughter had with them previously. Fantastic experience: When I had a work related injury that led to a frozen shoulder I was crushed both physically and mentally. I am OB/GYN -delivering babies and doing surgery are my passion! This could be a career ending injury for me so having the very best and most aggressive people on my team to rehab my shoulder and arm and get me back to doing what I love has been paramount. Athletico South Physical Therapy came highly recommended from my orthopedist(Dr. Sahota) so I jumped in full steam ahead ready to do whatever was necessary. Mike Frossard, my therapist, has been completely committed and by my side every step of the way. He is thorough, attentive, aggressive, supportive, and persistent in his efforts. He has been aggressively breaking up the adhesions, working to regain my muscle strength, and achieve normal function and mobility in my arm, shoulder, clavicle, and scapula. If you’re looking for someone who is going to push you —hard —to get back onto your feet, he is the man for you! It will hurt- but he will get you there. It hasn’t been easy—and I have said his name in vain a million times in my head during treatments but I trust him completely. Mike, and his team Casey and Ashley have been right there making it happen. They are totally hands on and even take the time after treatments to focus on the recovery period such as tens units and hot/ice packs to make recovery after a treatment a little less painful. He has even wiped off a tear or two. They customize your treatments to make sure you will be able to do the things that are necessary for your job performance, as well as the plain old normal activities of daily living. I can almost get a pony tail in now! Whooo hooo!! Very professional group. Clean facility, great customer service on the phone. They greet you each time you arrive. Text reminders for appointments-bonus! There is continuous monitoring your progress and mixing up the therapy regiment. Personable and knowledgeable— they know what they are doing. My arms and hands are my livelihood. I have placed my complete trust in him—and it’s working. I am not to the finish line yet, but the improvements have been tremendous. More work to do, but I know Mike and his team will be right there with me to see me to the finish line! If you want, or need results—these are the people for you.

Fantastic experience: I am so glad that I found Athletico South in Missouri. Mike Frossard is excellent. You can ask him anything and he will explain; he doesn't let you cheat on your exercises, he keeps you in line. He is the best Physical Therapist I have been to, and I have been to too many. The PTA, Cary, is also excellent; very pleasant and attentive. The office assistant is extremely pleasant and the atmosphere of the clinic is extremely inviting. One will not be disappointed when they come to Athletico. My body always feels better when I leave the clinic.

Fantastic experience: Both my son and my husband have worked with Mike Frossard for the past several months. After seeing another PT with no help, my son got in to see Mike and he effectively diagnosed his issues. He took his time with him and asked many questions to get to what was causing his pain. He is now pain free! My husband continues to work with Mike after shoulder surgery. His willingness to push him while being empathetic to his pain has helped him recover more quickly. Mike is an excellent PT and the team at Athletico Columbia South do an excellent job taking care of their patients.

I am recovering from a massive rotator cuff tear and the amount of relief and improvement in my daily life because of their treatment is phenomenal. Fantastic experience: My experience working with Mike Frosshard at the Columbia South location of Athletico has really improved my quality of life. I've been dealing with some debilitating issues, like fairly severe scoliosis and one of my legs being significantly shorter than the other, for decades. I was misdiagnosed several times and had unnecessary surgeries and procedures that I hoped would fix my problems, but frustratingly didn't. So, I was resigned to always wearing a lift in the shoe of my shorter leg, and to never be able to walk around for more than a few minutes in bare feet because the pain in my hip would force me to put my shoes back on. But in only weeks Mike has given me the information and specific exercises to build up those muscle groups that were lacking and at the root of my problems, to the point where I no longer have to have lifts in any of my shoes. He's also taught me how to alleviate the large, painful knots that often occur under my shoulder blade from all the repetitive motion my job entails. I originally heard about Mike from my daughter, who he had helped with similar, seemingly unsolvable, chronic, musculoskeletal problems. I especially like how Mike is direct, and to the point, yet still very affable and a good listener. Now I tell all my friends and relatives that if they need any physical therapy, Mike and the whole friendly gang at the Columbia South location of Athletico should be your go to people.

Fantastic experience: I initially chose Athletico for physical therapy due to their convenient location. All the staff I worked with were good but my primary therapist, Cary C was especially great. In addition to his professionalism, he is a caring individual and takes time to communicate with you and get to know you as a person. The therapy was challenging and effective. He helped me recover strength and range of motion very quickly. My doctor was very pleased and surprised by my quick progress. I would definitely choose Athletico again.

Fantastic experience: Athletico gave me a completely new outlook! Thank You Michael Frossard! I came in with L5 S1 pain on the right side after already having surgery on the left. Michael was determined to help me not to have to go through that again for the right side. I am not unfamiliar with physical therapy, but Athletico and Michael has given me a taste of what physical therapy is SUPPOSED to be. He is extremely professional but still compassionate about what the patient feels. He doesn’t just give you handouts to do at home..you WILL be getting a grueling workout with him as well. My doctor said I had to do PT because insurance mandates it but that it wouldn’t work and I would have to get a shot in my spine. I received therapy for my hip joint issues and even tho i have slight arthritis in that joint, their knowledge abled me to stretch and strengthen that joint along w my achy knees. I had issues with a previously broken ankle with remaining hardware and they took me from maybe 50% or less function to over 75% in just a few sessions. They encouraged me to push myself while making sure my form etc. would not cause further injury. Fantastic experience: I attend Athletic - Columbia (South) and work with Mike Frossard as my Physical Therapist. Oh. My. Gosh. I have NEVER had someone explain how to prevent future episodes of pain, and help me to increase my flexibility to handle my daily work life/stress. I could never say "thank you" enough. I truly feel a therapeutic alliance where we do both work together to improve my flexibility (with his leadership for strategies), mobility and my rehab goals. He is approachable for questions and will have an open/honest conversation about my condition. He collaborates with my physician for best methods possible. He challenges me as well as provides the support/therapy I need to physically move in a more normalized fashion. I am so thankful for his knowledge and expertise. I am so grateful to have someone who will teach me, treat me and allow me to feel more "normal" as I navigate orthopedically in my work and life.

I think there is a good balance between stretching, massage, and working and strengthening muscles. The sessions are never identical and I always learn something new to take back home to work on
