Negative experience: I’m a college student that needed urgent care for a couple ribs I had out of place. Other chiropractors have fixed this problem many times for around $40. This one tried to get me on an 8 week plan for over $700. Complete, unnecessary scam. Don’t recommend

Didn't feel any pops in my back when he worked on it directly, but I did feel all the muscles in my back pull away from my ribs when he did my hips. Still hurts to breathe 90 minutes later. Bet the sound of it measured on the Richter scale. Hopefully I heal before next week's return appointment. It feels like I've been through a bad car accident, honestly. That's some good popping power right there!

I've had a few chiropractors over the years moving around with a corporation and he seems professional and genuinely good at what he does I'll make sure to put an update as Chiropractics as everyone knows is not an overnight thing takes a while to get things back in alignment was welcoming to my service animal giving him 10 stars in my book! Best of all he offers red light treatment.

Positive experience: Accepts Medicaid/Medicare and has good availability, which is awesome. His table is well suited for larger patients or those with mobility issues, and his office staff is friendly and attentive. I like that his neck adjustments are consistently gentle, but effective. I've been a patient for a few months. Dr. Scott Stiffey is a man of few words, which can make the environment low pressure, also means he doesn't do much education about his findings or create a treatment plan. I was never offered other services in his office. I figured all that was fine if I saw good results. My first few appointments consisted of manual neck and back adjustments, including a twist on my side to adjust my SI and lower back and resulted in good pain relief and increased mobility. He stopped doing the twist adjustment despite my repeated requests and reported increase in pain. Shortly after that, he stopped achieving a pop in my mid back, so I was only showing up for neck relief. It's his call on what treatment to provide, but it didn't make sense to me. His justification was that the areas had been addressed already. Upon seeing a new provider, they confirmed my right hip was twisted forward and easily adjusted it as well as the mid back, just by spending a little more time in consult and hands on. My chiropractic insurance coverage for the year has run out so the pain will return and I'm left with regret that I used at least 4 visits with no significant relief.

Positive experience: I went in to Pro Active Chiropractic to try acupuncture for the first time to relieve back pain. I was able to be seen the following day and the facility was easily located near the library. The process was clearly explained and my questions were answered. I was told it would take several sessions to feel a difference. It was not painful laying in a dark quiet room for 20 minutes with 8 tiny needles located overall in my legs, arm, and ear. I'm told insurance won't cover the expense so there's that, but ultimately it may relieve pain over time. Time will tell.

Fantastic experience: Met new doctor for first time. He took the time to explain what he sees in the x-rays and showed me the problem areas and was planning a path to more permanent healing. He explained my neck was pretty bad shape and it will take time to get it better but no hope for back to good as new but hopefully make it more tolerable.

Fantastic experience: I normally drive one hour fifteen minutes to see Dr. James at James Health care in Keokuk, IA but the drive has been too much to fit in my work schedule. I came to visit Dr. Stucky bc of the good reviews and he is only 15 minutes from my home. The staff was very professional and was pleasantly surprised that Dr. James drives for adjustments to Dr. Stuckey. Dr. Stuckey did a fantastic job! So glad to find someone that compares to the fine staff at James Healthcare in Keokuk, IA.

With that and my wife being having our third child I have not had time to go see Dr. Stiffey. The pain finally got unbearable after not seeing him for a month. I texted Pro Active through Facebook and spoke with Dr. Stiffey about my hours and how I could not make it in due to being at work. He stayed late for me!!! When I got there he got me right back. Got the adjustment in and I feel ten times better. Even showed me some stretches to do to keep my back and hip from getting so tight. I would recommend Pro Active to anyone that needs it. Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Pro Active Chiropractic. The receptionist and doctor were very nice. I scheduled my appointment because I was having terrible hip pain. The doctor addressed my neck issues too. After my appointment with Dr Stephens both my hip and neck felt better. But about an hour later I had no hip pain at all. Amazing since I was in pain with every movement before my arrival. I will be back in order to keep myself out of pain.
