Fantastic experience: Update 5/24/24- Stopped by today on a whim because my hand had gone all sorts of crazy--numbness, tingling, pain at night, ugh! Didn't know what to do over the long weekend. Was prepared if they were even open (I have appts scheduled in advance 99.5% of the time) to wait however long it took (thank goodness my schedule was flexible today). I walked up, opened the door, and the entire staff was sitting in the reception area- the best I could say (nicely!) was "ah, guess you're closed!" Dr. Curt asked what was going on (and knew me by name right away)- told him-- he said if I could wait a few mins for them to finish he'd take care of things. Right away told him he was a lifesaver! Anyways, when I went back he did a series of quick screenings to make sure I wasn't severely ill- passed! Explained what was most likely the culprit (darned neck!) and got to work. I have felt great the rest of the day so far. Have some homework to do over the weekend to help it out as well. I am do grateful that the timing was perfect. Dr. Curt and his team are always so friendly, down-to-earth, and genuine. He's always so calm and didn't seem fazed one bit to help. They're there for their patients. It's awesome. THANK YOU SO MUCH AS ALWAYS!!!

Fantastic experience: UPDATE: I have had 7 visits, and the last two, I could feel the most difference. Being patient AND doing the exercises everyone has helped me with are the key to getting and staying better. Am I fixed? No. Am I closer? MUCH! This was my first visit and I could not be happier! This was my initial consult and it went beyond a chiropractic manipulation. It was about body movement, and what we can do to improve it. Dr. Dan was great and explained things very well. He also didn't overwhelm me with a couple sheets of exercises. We are starting with a couple easy exercises, and will add/change as I improve. Because I have no doubt I will improve.

Their focus is literally on your health, not stringing patients along, milking every nickel and dime. After 52 years of a thrill-seeking lifestyle and many injuries, FOHC keeps me going. My range of motion in affected areas has improved, my pain is lower, and my quality of life has improved.

They both listened to my concerns, asked relevant questions, and then thoroughly explained the practice approach. Fantastic experience: I loved going to Focus on Health when I lived in the area. Mallory who was my Chiropractor has since moved on and so has Bren from the front. They were both amazing to work with. Efficient and thorough. I recently had contacted them about a document and I wasn't having good luck. BUT. Dr. Kurt reached out, took over, and made things happen. They have great intentions and the help I have received has been greatly appreciated. Hope this helps for people interested in trying them for a new place!

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Focus on Health. My wife recommended it to me as she had a great experience. I was very pleased with the fact that they listened to what my issues were that I was working through. They didn’t try a quick fix but worked with me to identify the source of the pain and provide me with exercises and advice on how I can make small changes in my daily routine to help lessen the pain. I already have my next appointment booked and am looking forward to feeling less pain on a daily basis!

Fantastic experience: I have seen Dr. Curt in the past but I recently had such bad sciatica that I actually crawled into his office because I was in so much pain. I was able to get in to see him quickly and his staff was really nice and caring. It’s been a long journey but Dr. Curt treated me aggressively, gave me exercises to do at home, and helped me get connected with a local neurosurgeon. Dr. Curt gave me more detailed information than I could get from other healthcare team members. Several months later I’m pain free and I don’t need surgery. I am forever in his debt for helping me and supporting me during this. I still do the exercises and touch base with him regularly and am able to get back to my life! Great person and really knowledgeable chiropractor. Great office staff!

They did a full evaluation and assessment of my pain and mobility, and provided me with exercises tailored to my goals of restoration to full functionality. Fantastic experience: I came in seeking maintenance care and some PT guidance on fixing my hip flexors before a big backpacking trip. Dr Dan blew me away with his knowledge and care of my issues. We worked together for several months leading up to my trip. Thanks to him, I was able to hike 50miles in 4days through some of Wyoming’s most rugged terrain. I honestly could not have done it without his care. I still now come in voluntarily once/mo for maintenance and always enjoy the care provided. Fantastic experience: Focus on Health is the first chiropractor that I have been to that evaluates without x-ray, by actually evaluating your movements, to determine what is causing your issue. They then develop a treatment plan that includes physical therapy type exercises combined with adjustments, to heal and prevent the issue you are being seen for. They are 100% for rehabilitating and helping you to be the best, healthiest version of yourself. They don’t rush or make you feel rushed during your appointment. They take time to listen, get to know you, and address any questions. If I’m not being clear enough, they do everything possible to help you so you come in less, because that means they have helped you heal. Every chiropractor I’ve been to in the past, at least in the Columbia area, it has felt like they are doing everything they can to see me more and make more money, none of them have ever made my health feel like the ultimate goal. Long story short...I emphatically recommend Focus on Health!

Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Dr. Ryan for almost a year now and I always leave Focus on Health feeling so much better than when I went in. I have always had migraines from pinched nerves in my neck but through routine visits with him, I haven't had one for months. Even if I don't think anything seems out of place, keeping up with monthly visits has made a huge difference in how my body feels day to day. And when I do something that causes a flare up of pain I know I can call and get in quick and walk away feeling so much better! I've seen multiple chiropractors around town and no one Is a great as FOH.

There are so many chiropractors to choose from in Columbia, MO but I chose Focus on Health because they have a relationship with Evolved Personal Training where I go to for one on one personal training.

Fantastic experience: I went to Dr. Curt with severe low back pain that included spasming. I had seen an acupuncturist and a massage therapist, but had gotten no relief. This was particularly troubling since I am weeks away from a big backpacking trip. After just one adjustment by Dr. Curt, I was able to hike 16.5 miles without any pain. I have several more appointments before my trip but am quite confident I am “game ready” thanks to Dr. Curt. Thank you, Dr. Curt!

Fantastic experience: As a new patient of Daniel McGaugh’s, I have to say I truly appreciated his philosophy of assessing all areas of mobility and strength vs solely focusing on the area(s) of concern. With his thorough assessment, he was able to pinpoint the source of my problem which had resulted in compensatory movements and caused more pain in other areas of my shoulder. I’m looking forward to doing the simple exercises he demo’d and had me do while in the office and our follow up to ensure I’m on the right track to correct the issue and not have to keep coming back to him ;) Overall great experience.

Fantastic experience: As I finished a trip involving flying and ground travel, a severe pain developed in my elbow and arm. Two days later and still in a lot of pain, I made appointment with Dr. Dan. A few hours later I realized I had no pain!! I continue to exercise that arm but have been pain free since then. I can ALWAYS count on great results from FOH and will quickly and enthusiastically recommend the practice. Office staff is great too!

Fantastic experience: My entire family sees Dr Curt. My youngest is an equestrian and he's helping her get through some issues related to falling off her horse. She's not the most cooperative but he is patient and talks through things w her to help her understand why he's doing what he's doing. I had a foot problem that plagued me for years and it was solved at Focus on Health. My husband loves going to keep his back healthy after sitting at a desk and computer all day. Fantastic experience: I reached out to Dr. Curt for help with a Morton's Neuroma. I had intense foot pain with every step. As a mom of 4 and a chiropractor, that just isn't acceptable. Dr. Curt did some dry needling, adjusted my foot and helped me with a temporary lift. I had intended to get back to see him again but didn't need to. The pain went away and hasn't come back since.
