Athletico Physical Therapy - Columbia

Fantastic experience: I wasn't sure how to deal with my Tennis Elbow but my primary care doctor recommended Physical Therapy and specifically Athletico. Jen at Athletico has been great. Baselined my issue and has steadily worked to improve my Tennis Elbow issue. Looking forward to getting back on the court without pain.

Fantastic experience: My Athletico family helped me change my life. With two total knee replacements set three months apart, the Physical Therapist initially worked with me to best prepare me for the surgeries beginning eight months in advance. One appointment was all it took, and I managed my home exercises, knowing that I could reach out with any questions or concerns. While having physical therapy for the first knee, the Physical Therapist set my program, not only for the first knee, but also to further prepare the second for the upcoming surgery. Thank you doesn’t seem nearly big enough. I’ll be grateful always for your care and support, Lauren, Brett, Michael and all.

Fantastic experience: I have had PT before and after my knee replacement. Finished the last of my sessions on Friday. All the employees were a joy to be around. Lauren Stief does a fantastic job managing . Brett Gilley was my PT. They all come highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I completed pelvic floor therapy with Jessica, and I’m so glad I did. She was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and made it a great experience considering what was involved. I would not only recommend her, but pelvic floor therapy to any woman who is currently pregnant or just had a baby. You won’t regret it! And it’s nothing to be embarrassed about.

Fantastic experience: Therapy like a dentist. You don’t really want to go but afterwards you are glad you did. That is Athletico Columbia. Lauren and her entire staff from the front desk to the torture tables are first class patient first professionals. Impeccable therapy service and sincere personal patient first attitudes. Lauren, Jen, Brett and Kerry are great therapist. With there skill and knowledge they can handle any of your therapy needs. I have tore my body up over the years caused by hard physical work. Don’t know if you would say it was always a pleasurable experience on the tables, but you knew after the pulling, twisting, stretching and exercises it was for your well benefit. Jen for shoulder, Kerry for my neck and Lauren and Brett double teaming my back issues. Let me not forget the front desk. Always on top of it with paperwork, scripts and appointments. Even putting up with old guys forgetting what time we were supposed to be there. Even the assistants ( Bubbly Paramedic) were fantastic. Three other of my family members have used them and all feel the same way. Sorry such a long review but I just wanted to paint a true honest picture of a well organized ran office with Great people that know what they are doing Well done Lauren and team. Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Jenn for my shoulder and she has been a lot of help with my pain. And the ladies at the front desk are just phenomenal, always first name basis when they see us come in. My husband has been seen for his shoulder and now they’re working on his knee. I will recommend Athletico to our friends and family.

Fantastic experience: Kerri was great to work with. She took the time to understand what the issue was and then implemented a plan. She provided additional information as my treatment progressed and was very knowledgeable.

She made a custom rehabilitation plan for me after the first visit and was very attentive monitoring my progress and updating my path to recovery regularly. I appreciated how she she was upfront and honest about the results I could expect to achieve. Overall, I was very satisfied throughout the entire process and would come back if ever needed.

Fantastic experience: Great staff. Very welcoming and made me feel quite comfortable on my first visit. Therapist Kerri was awesome. She was very informative and I walked out with my knee feeling better than in quite some time.

Fantastic experience: Jen is THE BEST hand therapist EVER. From Missouri to Illinois and anywhere else she goes I will follow. I went from a crying mess not being able to touch a feather to being able to use my hand in just about every way normal. She is patient and kind and understanding. The staff here and other therapist have made it like my second home and I am grateful amd very appreciative!!!!

Fantastic experience: My 11 y/o daughter, an athlete, went to Lauren for an injured knee last two months and am very pleased with the experience. Firstly, I feel that everyone is positive and friendly. Second, scheduling is efficient and timely. Third, I have called the office a couple times with questions and you can reach an actual person there to talk to! Finally, my daughter has made a strong recovery and I think Lauren's exercises she has prescribed have been on point. If you or someone you care for is hurt and need to get them back in the game, go to Athletico in Columbia IL and ask for Lauren or one of her associates and they can help you.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Athletico in Columbia for several weeks for combined knee and back issues. Lauren the facility manager is awesome. I have been to a few other area physical therapy facilities for these same issues over the years. At each facility I could just about predict the exercises they would have me do every time. Lauren keeps mixing up the routines and my results have been great. I highly recommend Lauren and her staff at Athletico in Columbia, Illinois!

Fantastic experience: What a fabulous place to rehab from an injury! Lauren and the rest of her staff provided effective therapy that helped me gain my mobility and function back. They made going to therapy enjoyable because they were personable, efficient, and fun! I also liked that my questions and ideas were addressed --I felt a part of the process. Fantastic experience: I have had treatment there twice. For knee pain the first and total knee replacement the second. Both times my experience has been exceptional. The whole staff is wonderful and friendly. I will recommend them to anyone in need of Physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: After weeks of focused, dedicated PT structured specifically to my needs by Kerri at Atletico in Columbia, I’ll I am well on my way to living almost pain free! Prior to PT I couldn’t sleep and I could barely use both arms due to shoulder problems…in addition to the pain I had lost muscle/strength. With Kerri’s guidance I’ve regained my life being able to perform routine activities I took for granted and I can get a good nights sleep too! In addition to Kerri’s expertise and the genuine care she delivers to her patients, others at Athletico like Laney, are very friendly and welcoming too. Fantastic experience: Just finished PT with Kerri. Awesome! Outstanding results as I have always come to expect from this facility:). From Delaney's always smiley greeting and assistance, to super-friendly Savanah always ready to help everyone. I have learned through several visits for different treatments that when I am having a problem, the sooner I come to the therapists here the less pain/time I will endure. Lauren and Kerri are both always very effective, professional, and completely knowledgeable and skilled in their trade. They always provide me with the long term tools I need to continue to strengthen and maintain a healthier me. Couldn’t ask for more.

She demonstrated, explained, and gave follow-up exercises to ensure positive, long-term progress. Fantastic experience: Kerri was amazing! I’m a 31 year old with a tear in my rotator cuff. I’m also a hair stylist with young kids at home. Kerri was great at listening to my concerns and helping me through every exercise. On my last appointment she gave me so many at home exercises to continue keeping my shoulder strong. You know she’s great when she genuinely says call me if you need me.

Fantastic experience: I suffered a terrible foot injury last year and because of Athletico I am completely back to normal. The therapists there are undoubtedly second to none. The time and effort that was taken with me will never be forgotten!

Fantastic experience: I loved my experience here from start to finish. My PT, Alison, did a thorough evaluation and listened to my concerns in order to determine a treatment plan. She did an excellent job of explaining the different exercises and how/why they were going to help and was always willing to answer questions. When she would ask how I was doing/feeling she actually listened and provided helpful feedback. I found my treatment to be challenging but incredibly effective. I have vastly improved, especially where my pain level is concerned. And even though my treatment is finished, she made sure I was good-to-go as far as continuing at-home care, ie suggested exercises to keep up with and how to improve my work station to be more ergonomically fit. Even though Alison was my PT (and I highly recommend her), everyone working there ( including Lauren, Emily and Jordan) was always incredibly welcoming and friendly. I got the impression that the other patients receiving treatment enjoyed their visits as much as I did. If I ever need physical therapy again, I will definitely go back.

Fantastic experience: Athletico Columbia, IL .. I heard a lot of good things about this place but didn’t need it until I was having a problem! I was suggested a lot of places but thought .well I call them & just see if that is place I would feel comfortable & they could help me! I spoke to a receptionist Emily & she helped with questions, insurance, & appointment with Jessica. Emily had taken her time with me knowing I was unsure & didn’t know what to expect... After I got off the phone I felt relieved! I had my visit with Jessica for appointment & she made me feel at ease plus exercises to do at home. My husband was in knee pain and I sent him to Athletico in Columbia, IL.. If your body hurting this place to be... Lots of Team Spirit! Keep up the good work! Patty

Fantastic experience: This facility is very nice and easily accessible. The people here are very respectful and friendly to all who come. Also, the therapist want to be there for you and is their top priority to get you better. The training and the materials at athletico are in top condition, and are treated with care and constant attention.

From the moment you walk in the door and are welcomed and helped by Emily, who works behind the front desk, to the expert physical therapy knowledge of Lauren who has been helping me to strengthen my knee from several ligament replacement surgeries I have had on it recently. Lauren is so kind and takes the time to ask questions, listen and guide you through the proper techniques to set you on the right path to recovery. Her assistant, Derick, is also just as up beat and ready to help out in any way he can. I am so grateful for the care I have received at this facility and highly recommend it.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Athletico for several months now (post pre and post surgery)... every single person at this location has become like family to me. They are all so caring, funny, professional, friendly, and they honestly make physical therapy so so much fun! Emily at the front desk is an absolute delight, Deric is always with me by my side to help with my therapy, and I have worked with all 3 therapists at this locaton and I cannot say enough kind words about then. They are helping me walk ahain and I absolutely LOVE them. I will refer as many patients to their location as I can.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient with Athletico Columbia, IL on & off for the past 4.5 years. 2 Knee replacements,2015 & 2017 & a shoulder dislocation 2019. Lauren,associates & staff have all been exceptional to work with. Extremely professional & knowledgeable in my therapy. My progress & rehab has been the best I could.hope for. I highly recommend this location for anyone's therapy needs.

Fantastic experience: Ali worked on my R shoulder. I had shoulder pain picking up my son and when playing catch. I'm too young to be feeling this old! Ali used manual techniques, exercise, and tools. My shoulder is now pain free and no surgery needed.

Emily (office coordinator) was great with scheduling and rescheduling appointments to fit my schedule. Jordan was also helpful with the therapy sessions. Fantastic experience: I've unfortunately had to use Athletico to recover from multiple surgeries. My therapist has returned me to pre-surgery status and I couldn't be happier. The staff is the best, always greets me with a smile. Lauren, Emily and Derrick make me feel like family I am eternally grateful.

Fantastic experience: Athletico has been a wonderful working environment for my boyfriend these last three years. They have really supported him during grad school and I can tell everyone is passionate about what they do here!

Fantastic experience: I had a excellent experience with this office. I originally thought I was doomed for a shoulder surgery. After a little over a month and some homework my shoulder literally had no more pain. The staff was excellent and provide a really comfortable atmosphere. I felt very welcome and relaxed during my visits!

Fantastic experience: We love Athletico and the staff. Both myself and my daughter have been for PT. My daughter was only 13 and had ACL surgery. Lauren and Jordan was wonderful with her and are partly responsible for her quick recovery back to the sports she loves.
