Fantastic experience: The Sohma team helped me recover from a badly pinched nerve. Chiropractor, fantastic PT, decompression and targeted injections all helped alleviate the pain. Everyone is cheerful, helpful, and office is run like clockwork! Would strongly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Initially went to SOHMA for a shoulder sport injury, based on my son’s recommendation. I have been extremely pleased with the care I have received and the exercises given to me to help repair and strengthen the tears in my shoulder. I have about 95% of my range and strength back! Please note that I do the exercises DAILY! So as a patient, the recovery is only attainable by following instructions of the therapists!!! I also inquired about the chiropractic care while I was there and just today saw the X-rays taken before and now after, several months, and I even I can see the restorative spacing and curvature of my spine return in the neck region! I am thankful for their professionalism and the welcoming nature of the staff! If you are hesitant, give them a try and find out for yourself.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Sohma for acupuncture and chiropractic work. Dr Johathan Dawson(chiropractor/acupuncturist)and Aja Castillo, Nurse Practioner have brought pain relief during a time when I had max out my therapy sessions and was waiting for results for a MRI and Nerve conduction tests to examine my tingling and numbing in my hands and burning and pins and needles in my legs and feet. As the time passed and I came in 3x a week for trigger point injections, traction, chiro adjustment and acupuncture, I started to feel better and symptoms started to dissipated. It was great news to hear from my Orthopedic doctor that acupuncture and chiropractic treatments are what he recommends to manage my symptoms, as I had been experiencing significant pain relief from the very treatments he suggested. Check out this wellness center. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Candice is a ray of sunshine. They are very professional and offer many services. They accept Medicare Part B which was good news as well

Positive experience: 2.5 stars. I’ll start by saying, Dr. Chew is amazing! So compassionate and caring. Great chiropractor. However, I feel the communication at this office is not great. I went simply to get a massage because it was covered on my insurance. Next thing I knew, I was sent to get x-rays and had a lengthy treatment plan, even though I wasn’t even sure of the issue. I was told I would get certain treatments with each chiropractor visit and I was persuaded to give physical therapy a try. I felt like I never knew what treatment I’d get when I showed up to the office. I’d come for physical therapy, then they’d say, ‘oh come back for your adjustment.’ And I was never given the pressure point treatments and a couple other things that were apart of my “plan”. But I was so confused about what my treatments actually entailed, thinking they had it organized on their end, so I just went with it. At physical therapy, I had a new person each time, so my treatment was not consistent, as they both had different methods. One session, my guy forgot what my issue was and only realized at the end. I went along with the session, thinking there was a method to what we were doing. Turns out he forgot. The nicest people, I was just annoyed we’d wasted that whole session. A couple times my appointments were cancelled the day of, and once I actually showed up and it was cancelled. I never got the message. I get that happens, but again, communication . Lastly, I had a charge from them on my credit card which was never communicated to me and I did not approve. My insurance had covered all of my sessions to that point and I guess their contract had ended, but again, not communicated. I had even double checked once that this would continue to be covered and was told “don’t worry about it.” Overall, I do think the issue stems from the front desk communication? Or just having so many different treatments they offer that it’s unorganized. I was just confused about these issues, because of all the raving reviews. I simply had a different experience and decided to stop going.

Fantastic experience: After looking for a good chiropractor for over a year, SOHMA was an answered prayer. What a bonus that it is also an integrative care health center. The chiropractic adjustments are involved and comprehensive. The physical therapists are effective and caring. All of the healthcare providers are friendly and attentive. The scheduling is definitely on point! There is nothing more stressful and unhealthy than a medical office that does not respect patients’ time by overbooking. This has never been a problem at SOHMA. They see you when they say they’re going to see you. The support staff is exactly that- supportive. They are kind, efficient and fun. The office has a family-like environment while maintaining a high degree of professionalism. The pricing is even affordable for cash patients without high-pressure commitments. It’s a place where you can heal AND feel good!
