Stonebrook Healthcare Center: Reviews
Negative experience: I spoke to this woman for less then a minute, and she was extremley rude and yelling. She got frustrated, telling me I had to send over paperwork? When I was just calling around to places to see what the options are. We have never spoke prior, and this place seems horrible.
Fantastic experience: I am in Stonebrook for the second time, I was here in April and had a great team that worked with me and put up with me and I was able to go home for almost 5 weeks using my walker and doing all the things I learned with my team and was able to do laundry feed my critters and even cook but my tail bone was so painful and after a short hospital stay I actually told them I would only go here where I felt like family. If you or a family member need to go to rehab I would definitely check them out or read the reviews I got to know a lot of the crew from Nurses to Doctors to the rehab crew who I found are not there to hurt you Even though it seems like it, Housekeeping crew are friendly and smiling or singing and the kitchen crew who have to wake us up very very early to ask what we want for breakfast. Yikes I am sleeping people. I don't want to leave anyone out so no Names but people who come to work early shift or late shift and in between-with a smile on their face says something for the workplace. I miss my critters (even though critters are allowed to visit) so I am doing everything to go home I warned them I want to come back without the walker, with my hair fixed and hopefully back to baking and will share with my buddies. They made my stay fun and motivated me to do all the things I learned and the reason I know I will be home soon . Chris Ellison
Fantastic experience: So very grateful to everyone at Stonebrook. From Erica who welcomes everyone to June who took care of hubby to Megan, OT, John PT, Maryam, Nurse, and everyone else. Hubby healed quickly and with Jean, Kaiser Rep., to getting us continued Nurse, OT & PT for home! Grateful to Kaiser Permanente’s coverage and all the Dr. and staff who worked toward healing! ❤️
Fantastic experience: Thank you for taking such good care of my mother who recently fell and broke her knee cap. The entire staff has been friendly, kind and understanding while caring for all of her daily needs and physical therapy.
Fantastic experience: Clean facilities, need education on pain management prior ambulances ride . Education on how to put a C-Collar on correctly.( back collar was upside down.). NA are clean and nice.
Negative experience: The lack of communication is a big problem! Often times the phone isn’t answered and/or you’re placed on indefinite hold. The case manager will desperately try to keep your loved one until the insurance runs out and then they can’t get them out fast enough. Most of the staff is pleasant but trying to get information from them is nearly impossible. I do not recommend this facility.
Positive experience: My Dad had a long stay here (2 months) had alot of health concerns. The staff are very nice, when you can get their attention. Communication between Doctors and hospital was really bad. The food is good. A very clean environment, and the PT was good. Dad was pretty well taken cate of, but they are just so busy there, that when you use the call button, you just never know when they will be there to help you.
Negative experience: DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. I read the reviews here, AFTER, Kaiser sent my mother here and GOLLY they were right. They gave my mom the wrong medication and it caused a SEVERE reaction simular to a STROKE and I had to argue with the staff for almost TWO DAYS to get a nurse to check on her. My mom is permanently injured from her SHORT stay at this facility and there is no recovery from a brain starved from oxygen for so long. She is what she is , now. She was taken to a different hospital and they informed me she was sepsis , dehydrated, and hadn't eaten in a few days. This facility is awful, they neglected my mother AND gave her incorrect medication and have harmed her in such a way... I can't describe. Do. Not. Use. This. Facility. DO. NOT. USE. THIS. FACILITY.
Negative experience: They don’t have enough staff to take care Pations Not a good place to recommend for your love.
Negative experience: I had the most horrible experience here. Freezing at nite. Hit the buzzer it took them forever. The staff had no compassion for people. I had to check myselfout. I couldn’t take being there after 4 days.
Fantastic experience: Such a very clean facility and very friendly staffs.
Negative experience: Terrible care call light not answer promptly. Sometimes 15 minutes. Therapy staff not compassionate. Food terrible. Clothes lost in laundry
Fantastic experience: Hhhmm,…..I used to work here so I have incredible insight. Let me first say that the staff from top to bottom are always doing their best A game. It’s very hard to keep smiling when you deal with death and pain. This work is not for the light hearted. Lori Cooper is probably the only reason this place stays above average. Had fun their most of the time. Sometimes not so much,…but, work is work and we all have ups and downs. Also, Yvette, Shirley, Alita, and Bri ….always listened when concerns were brought up. PS Lorlene does a wonderful job being the desk nurse, always even tempered. Shout out too Alona and Sherilyn…much aloha. Gonna miss u folks..God bless take care.
Positive experience: All the TVs are out in the place this Sunday they just have to have everybody sit there and do nothing doesn't sound very nice
Positive experience: I stayed here for 15 days after having a knee replacement, and I must say I received the best care and Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy! Being from a Customer Service background that was my career all my life, I know how difficult dealing with different personality's can be. But the professionals whom I had were warm and always willing to help in any way. It’s hard to tend to everyone’s needs at the time that you would like them to, because you are not the only person they look after…I’ve always learned that one has room to grow, so if you have gotten a 4 that’s excellent because you have something to strive for. Thanks to all who made life bearable for me. ❤️
Negative experience: My stepmother died of malnutrition & dehydration there.
Negative experience: I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here. Honestly. My dad came in mobile and left dehydrated, depressed, and unable to walk. They kept the call button behind his head so he couldn’t reach it. Took his glasses on day one and never returned them so he couldn’t see anything. Placed his food just far enough away so he fell. They handed him a cup of pills he was expected to take daily and when he told them something was making him sick and he didn’t want to take them cup at a time anymore they told us he was “refusing therapy” then tried to charge us $550 A DAY for their incredibly subpar care. Had to involve an attorney at which point they claimed he needed to be reevaluated at Stanford and in the middle of the night took him there with no notice to us until the morning. Took weeks to collect his items from the facility. Stanford said they had not seen neglect to this level at a care facility ever. Stanford ended up reporting the facility because my dad was so dehydrated and depressed he told the pych nurse he wanted to die. I have never seen neglect to this level. Tried to contact administration and was never given that information. They do their best to prevent a lawsuit by refusing to communicate via documented channels like email. It was an experience out of a horror movie. If this facility makes $550 a day per patient by claiming they refuse therapy (even though your insurance such as Medicare likely covers about a month in rehabilitation, but only if you actively do therapy) that’s over $15K a month PER PATIENT. There is no reason they can’t afford to have better everything, but they do the bare minimum (if even). This is a place you go to die, not a place that will rehabilitate you.
Negative experience: Yes, your right the girl name Sabrina from admission was really "RUDE", I'm gently talked to her ask some inquiry in a nice way I was surprise coz I thought the review is not true she has no manners, no telephone ethics, that's the way she was raised very inconsiderate, she don't deserve to work in a care nursing facilities if she doesn't like her job just quit and she can't even work as a front desk receptionist she doesn't know how to talk decency no GMRC. Very disappointing! I feel bad for Stonebrook having her.
Negative experience: I’ll try to get my mother into this facility. And the admissions person was very rude. I explain to her I spoke to somebody a few weeks ago about having my mother go to that facility and he’s told me that I could send over a strip from the others facility and they would except her. Then I called back today and spoke to this rude lady. Very unacceptable behavior. Try someplace else.
Fantastic experience: I visit an elderly lady here nd she gets good care and tells me it is really a good place to be. They have rehab, salom, cafeteria, outdoor patio, great caregivers (2 of my friends work their and enjoy the working environment) activities, bible studies, cooking classes, good food, comfy beds, and good nurses.
Fantastic experience: Very nice and clean facility i would give them 100 % if i could
Fantastic experience: This place is a great rehab center. Very clean and the care is outstanding. Thank you Yvette and Stonebrook staff for taking great care to all your residents and patients.
Fantastic experience: My mother is there temporarily, and she has had the best care. they are kind and professional. she loves it there..
Fantastic experience: Very nice, clean and professional !
