Fantastic experience: Greeted professionally, welcomed. As an outside health care provider (hospice) my needs were addressed, my questions answered and my patient has their needs being met appropriately in a really great way!

Fantastic experience: The DSD is a very nice the staff at the DSD office , Our school did the orientation today and it was a very pleasant experience. My students are allowed to stay in a comfortable place. Were looking forward to stay in this SNF to learn.

Negative experience: My brother is here and it is almost impossible to get to speak with him. Rarely is the phone answered at the front desk. If they do happen to answer, they will transfer you to the nurses station where they will not answer. You will be bounced back and forth without ever speaking to anyone again. I just spent another 15 minutes going through this. This isn't a one-off situation either, this is any time of the day, weekdays or weekends. Messages left for the social worker or the administrator go unreturned. On the few times I have managed to have someone at the nurses station answer, I'm told my brother does not have a phone in his room and they will try to locate a phone that they can bring in to him. Sometimes they succeed and bring in a portable phone that he can use for a short period before they come in and ask for it back because someone else needs it. What kind of operation doesn't have anyone manning the phones consistently during normal operational hours? Also, why doesn't the patient have a phone in his room? Now I'm pretty sure there will be some pithy response from someone trying to make it appear that they're concerned. Don't buy it. If they were concerned, I would get a call back and there would actually be some way to consistently get in touch with my brother.
Fantastic experience: Kindred Bayberry a place you can find friendly people and a welcoming smile.
Fantastic experience: Bayberry is a wonderful place to leave your loved ones. The staff, from the front desk receptionists, to the CNAs, to the Nurses, to therapy, everyone is warm and friendly. I’m happy we choose Bayberry to send my father, he was able to receive the care he needed to be able regain his strength and come home. I highly recommend Bayberry to anyone in need of therapy after hospitalization

Negative experience: Don’t ever let your loved ones stay here. My husband was transferred to Bayberry after a surgery. He became so depressed and therefore, physically suffered for he, and myself could not obtain information about his status and how long he need to remain in the facility. My husband was not given a shower and he was in the same clothes two weeks and he was for was always so hungry because of the incredibly small meal portions. Bayberry does not have doctors with any specialty and you will be lucky if you even see a doctor. Most of the nurses are kind, but they do not have a RN degree. They would ask my husband what to do. This place was a total nightmare, especially if you are younger and need post surgical care. From what my husband saw, it is a nightmare for the older patients. There must be a better option for people that need care after surgery. It was supposed to be a place for my husband to continue to heal, but with all of the stress, neglect and lack of transparency, Bayberry was anything but a place to heal.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are sorry to hear that you and your husband feel he had a poor experience with us. It is always our goal to provide impeccable care to every resident. Please know that we take your feedback seriously and will review it with our leadership team. We would be grateful to speak with you to learn more about your husband's experience in further detail. If you have the time, please call us at (925) 825-1300 and ask to speak with Gianelle.
Negative experience: ABSOLUTELY DON'T PLEASE...this is not the place for anyone you love. I am tramatized by this "state of the art" facility and their staff is unfathomably inept. Please INVESTIGATE FOR YOURSELF. I have a loved one there now and am trying to facilitate a transfer from out of town. Please use caution. If your loved one is here now - check on them often. The current staff is barely short of scary.
Fantastic experience: My father was recently admitted at this facility. If there were 6 stars, I would have given them so. The entire staff was very professional and compassionate. They did everything possible to help my father in his final days. A special thank you from our family to Jimmy, Precious, Tariq, Uzma, Chandra, and everyone else. I really appreciate you guys.
Fantastic experience: I would like to start with the staff the people from CNA 's NURSES, HOUSE KEEPING and Therapy,And office personel It is hard to put into words the care that was given to me. I was treated with respect and dignity in those most embearasing cituations .And i felt like family by how i was treated i would like to mention every buddy by name but there is so many but here are couple that took care of me for along periods .I will start with my Cnas Carlina,Angie,Kumar,Arley,Maria,Indra Nurses Shoote,Harbreeth ,Dana, Kevin, Jackie intake staff Tariq , Erik and the big boss Ed I am very happy with my stay and that is putting it mildly for the Rest of the staff i faild to mention forgive me all of you are in my heart and GOD bless all you MIKE SALAZAR
Negative experience: Facility is under a new name called generations health care. I was hoping that when they came in things would get better, but they aren't! My mom's been here over a year and she's dying of Huntington's disease. I'd had meeting after meeting after meeting with the staff here and they don't listen to any single thing I want them to do. I'm in charge of my mom's health care and every single meeting I've had they just turn around and do whatever they want anyway and completely ignore my wishes for her a death. The worst person of all that works here is Coleen S. as she's the nurses manager. I have had more trouble in one year trying to get this place to do what they need to do to take care of my mom correctly. I have a son with down syndrome 20 years old is easier to advocate for my son for 20 years than it was for this stupid nursing home for 1 year.
Positive experience: The nurses and the CNAs at Kindred Nursing are some of the hardest working people you will ever find. They looked out for all of us, responded quickly when asked, and treated patients with kindness and respect. The therapy staff was also wonderful. They helped me get back on my feet by answering all of my questions and motivating me. Although the nutritionist was knowledgeable and tried to be helpful, the meals were inconsistent in terms of addressing diabetic needs. For the most part the food was tasty but the kitchen staff need to be more thoughtful about dietary needs.
