Active Physical Therapy & Sports Injury Center

Positive experience: I was billed double what I had been quoted going into my series of 3 appointments. When I called the office to find out why my bill was twice what I had been told I would pay the office manager was extremely unpleasant and antagonistic and unwilling to accept any responsibility for giving me false information and for their poor communication of cost of services. While my therapist was kind, I did not receive any improvement for the ailments I was dealing with. The therapist spent a large time of our session talking about their personal life and not really getting down to the business of helping me resolve my sports injury. After 3 sessions and zero improvement they suggested I go elsewhere. It felt like a really expensive chat with a few pointers on some basic exercises or stretches I could try. Active physical therapy came highly recommended to me, but unfortunately my experience has not been one that I could in good conscience recommend to anyone else.

Fantastic experience: After a fall resulted in a shoulder fracture, torn labrum, partial rotator cuff and bicep tear I was referred to Tim at Active Physical Therapy after my surgery by a friend who is a retired Orthopedic Surgeon. I can say that I've gone from the worst pain I've experienced in my life with a shoulder that popped in and out of socket to a shoulder now pretty much healed and strong all in thanks to Tim and the others at Active PT. Three days after my surgery I was in the clinic starting to rehab my shoulder and at that point, I never thought it would feel normal again. Tim took me in and helped me along for 4.5 months and made me a new person. Not only did I practically get a new arm, I got a new friend! I looked forwarded to my 2 days a week at the clinic as I knew I was going to be helping my shoulder but also getting a good laugh and having a good time with a great therapist! I learned a lot from Tim in the last few months and I'll always be thankful for my time with him and the clinic! And let's not forget to mention, Maddie (the best office assistant) one could ever ask for! I've had more laughs in the lobby with her sharing life stories and events that I can even count! I will definitely be coming back just to say hello and will definitely will be back if PT is needed in the future! I would recommend Active PT to anyone needing help and therapy for an injury or strengthening training!

Fantastic experience: In 2008 I had a series of posterior subluxation shoulder injuries from high school tennis that required me to get surgery in the fall. Tim was able to help me rehabilitate in time to still play tennis the next spring of my senior year. He was encouraging, patient, kind and inspiring. I’ve been grateful for that good experience for years. Then in 2019, I had an accident that resulted in an anterior dislocation of the same shoulder and I knew Active Physical Therapy was where I wanted to rehabilitate again. This time I worked with Madeline, who was also absolutely wonderful. Her instruction was clear, careful and motivating. I’ve continued to do my exercises and now feel stronger than ever, largely in thanks to the support I got from these great folks. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Tim, Laurie, Toby, Madeline and the office staff are absolutely amazing. I have been in for a variety of orthopedic and back problems, and I couldn’t ask for better, more thorough and caring people. I’ve been to other PT clinics, and none were bad. But Active Physical Therapy is several times better than any of the rest, hands down. And they are more than just Physical Therapists. They’re life coaches and friends. If you want the best Physical Therapists in the area, this really is the place to come.

Positive experience: Tim and his team are absolutely great. Active PT was recommended to me by a friend as my elbow was flaring up due to an old snowboarding industry. These guys worked with me and provided some great recovery techniques. I wish I knew these guys when I first had my injury. Highly recommended.
