West Coast Spine & Sports: Reviews
Fantastic experience: I spent many months with Christine Follett as she helped me after my shoulder surgery. Christine was such an amazing physical therapist. She really knew when I needed the extra push or some days when I needed more rest. I really enjoy the the West Coast Spine on magnolia. Their receptionist are extremely friendly and even got to know me by name and always said goodbye to me on the way out that made me feel special too. All their physical therapist are so friendly and get along. It's just a very friendly place to be. Especially after having a surgery and not feeling like your best.
Shelly, Thank you for the wonderful review. We are so happy to have helped you with your recovery and are so pleased you had a good outcome and experience.
Fantastic experience: Hi! I recently had the pleasure of receiving physical therapy at West Coast Spine and Sports Physical Therapy, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! As an above-knee leg amputee, finding a facility that understands my unique needs was crucial, and West Coast exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the accessibility of the facility. It is fully handicapped accessible, with plenty of close parking, making it easy to get in and out. The check-in process was quick and efficient, and I experienced minimal wait times—only a brief wait when I arrived early. My physical therapist, Nina, was absolutely fantastic. Unlike other clinics I've visited, the team at West Coast has extensive experience working with amputees, which made a world of difference in my therapy. They had the right equipment and tailored the sessions to meet my specific needs. After being wheelchair-bound for almost a year, I was eager to regain my mobility, and my prosthetist and Nina provided the guidance and support I needed to make significant progress. Thanks to the personalized therapy I received, I transitioned from a wheelchair to a walker, and soon after, to cuff crutches for short distances with my prosthetic leg. The therapy focused on building my strength and balance, which were my biggest challenges. Nina equipped me with the tools and techniques to continue my progress independently at the gym. I am thrilled to say that I feel empowered to continue my journey without the need for formal physical therapy. With the skills I learned at West Coast, I am optimistic about walking again without crutches by the end of the year! A heartfelt thank you to Nina and the entire team at West Coast Spine and Sports Physical Therapy for their exceptional care and support. If you're looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate team to help you on your rehabilitation journey, look no further!
Bill, thank you for the wonderful review and we are so happy to had the privilege of assisting you with your therapy!
Positive experience: The place is older can use a remodel, but Scott was great. He even took me in when I requested to be seen even when he was fully booked and still took his time to work with me
Denise, thank you for the kind comment regarding Scott your therapist. Treating the patients with excellence is our primary focus! Hope all goes well for your recovery.
Fantastic experience: Very friendly environment office can be used for movie shoot
What a nice review! Thank you Linda.
Fantastic experience: This is my first experience with physical therapy and I wasn't sure what to expect. My therapist, Haya, is excellent! Her directions are clear and helpful. I have already seen significant improvement and and am beginning to feel stronger with less pain! Very friendly office staff!
Joy, thank you for sharing your good experience! We are happy to be your preferred therapy clinic!
Fantastic experience: I went to west coast spine in 2020 after my knee replacement surgery, Liam was my pt and he's so excellent and very nice. I had no problems whatsoever. Scott is nice too. Now I'm back in 2024 for my shoulder
Dorothy, we are glad to be providing therapy for you! Thank you for the 5 star review.
Negative experience: I've been here for myself and my child. The office is dated and smells bad. The front desk staff were incredibly nice and patient. The PT and assistants didn't listen well, passed you around to each other, almost never seeing the same person twice. They didn't focus on what was said or limits of injuries. The things they wanted my child to do did nothing to help the issue we were there for. For myself they weren't willing to have me push myself where I know I can, and instead tried to have me go past limits on things I said I physically was not and to do, causing more injury. After completing the assigned weeks of treatment for both of us there was no improvement. Waste of time and money.
Your experience is shocking to me. We strive to have patients be cared for by 1-2 therapist at most. Also, at WCS we focus on implementing an individualized treatment plan based on the findings during the evaluation. I would be happy to speak with you directly if you call 951-653-4480
Negative experience: The customer service who answered the phone was very impatient. She will intentionally hang up if she feels you are taking up her time. The second time I called, I wouldn't even answer and quickly cut off the phone. Very bad.
Parco, I apologize that you experienced that poor customer service. Our employees are educated the importance of customer service. I wonder who it was you spoke with. I would be happy to assist you if you call 951-653-4480
Negative experience: They knew nothing about how to work with someone with a spinal cord injury.
Melissa, I am sorry you feel that way. Our therapist do know how to provide therapy to those who have suffered a SCI. If you can make the time, I would be happy to speak with you if you call 951-653-4480

Fantastic experience: Came here after injuring my back. All the therapists are really nice and helpful. I was sad when my doctor didn't give me more sessions .
Positive experience: The only place that requires a referral for a PPO insured which I had but they "bumped" it. I'm going to request my doctor renew it or sent me somewhere else.
JP, unfortunately many PPO insurances require a referral from a physician in order to be reimbursed for services rendered. Hoping you were able to find what you were looking for.
Negative experience: I called today to make an appointment, the lady answered the phone was so rude, she put me on hold and no one came back on the phone.
Gopal, I apologize for the bad experience years ago. We would be happy to be given the opportunity to provide you with a better experience. Please feel free to call 951-653-4480 to speak with me directly.
Fantastic experience: They were the best at physical therapy after knee replacement. Andrea was my rehabilitation therapist and is excellent on the therapy she did for my knee. Very professional and answered all my questions. Made my knee back to 100%. Very grateful to her and staff.
David, thank you for your kind remarks. Hoping we will be your preferred therapy clinic for years to come.
Negative experience: I went to West Coast Spine for a lingering neck injury. During my two months of visits, I was handed off back and forth between different PTs and assistants, who were too busy and working with multiple patients at the same time. This type of environment might work for some people and some injuries, but it didn't work for me. My injury persisted, and on my last visit they had nothing constructive or useful to tell me. Within two weeks I had re-aggravated the injury, and I switched to a different physical therapist, which has been more successful. If I have anything positive to say it's that the staff is very nice, especially the front office.
Ven, I regret you had a bad experience with us years ago. We do strive to have our patients only be treated by 1-2 therapist. I do hope you are doing well.
Negative experience: The reason I give it two ⭐️ ⭐️ it’s because smells bad in the waiting area as you walk in you can even smell it having the mask on .No excuse for that. Have to wait outside can’t take it how bad the smell is. The services are good and they do a good job.
Daniela, I am glad you were happy with the therapy services. Perhaps the bad smell was temporary because I have not gotten other complaints. Hope you are doing well.
Fantastic experience: My whole physical therapy experience was wonderful thanks to Nina, Liam, & Maribel at West Coast Spine in Riverside on Magnolia. I can't emphasize enough how much they helped me in my recovery process. Liam and Nina answered all my questions & addressed my concerns. After being consistent with my home excercises & pt sessions, I felt major progress in my knee pain within the first week. All the home excercises were helpful and explained thoroughly by Nina and Liam. One time, I accidentally went to my appt. 4 days early, and they squeezed me in that same day. During the 6 weeks, they were very patient and empathic. The front desk receptionist, Maribel, remembers every patients' names, greets them, and always wishes them a great day as they leave. Despite having alot to manage, she made sure I was always taken care of. It helped me keep motivated to heal during these tough times in the world. Thank you for having this place open during a pandemic. It was a positive healing environment and experience. They show how much they care for & appreciate their patients. I cried the last day because of how much I'll heavily miss their client appreciation. Definitely recommend!
Kimmy, thank you for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review. We really appreciate it!
Fantastic experience: Kellie is best therapist ever
Thank you for the 5 star review!
Fantastic experience: The physiotherapists are extremely knowledgeable and gently push you to the limits which are within an accurately assessed range, allowable based on your condition. This helped me walk with a straight gait, which I have not been able to do for the past 5 months. Thanks for the re-assessment and a gentle approach towards making your patients pain free. Thanks Scott and Rujuta.
Thank you for the wonderful review!
Negative experience: I was referred to West Coast for my 12 year old who is suffering from patellofemoral pain syndrome. Our PT did spend a long time asking intake questions but when some of the questions didn't apply to my son the PT said for him to just guess a response. What really turned me off was that the PT just handed me a sheet with 3 exercises and said do these at home as indicated. When I said can you show me how they're done, the PT did the exercises on herself, never once manipulating my child. I would have learned more from a YouTube video. I am now fighting with my HMO for a different referral. On the plus the front desk receptionist was amazing. She multi tasked like crazy and knew all the patients coming in
Lily, I am hoping things worked out for your daughters knee. I would be happy to speak with you about your experience if you call 951-653-4480
Negative experience: My mother was referred here. After 6 visits, she had no relief. When she told the referring Dr., he said, "Yeah, they're not good. But, it's the only option through your insurance."
Fantastic experience: Although they're busy, most of the PT staff spend a good amount of time with their patients. You've gotta go in with the "going to work" attitude so you can accomplish your goals. Many who go there think the therapists should be able to get you to 100% alone but you gotta do it yourself. Therapists are only the guides to help you reach your goal and they all have been helpful with various injuries and treatments I've had there. Remember, "going to work" is the key...
