Kinematics Physical Therapy and Sports Performance

Negative experience: I experienced a lot of unprofessional comments and interactions here, the kind that make you think you're being too sensitive until you realize that it could have only been intended as an insult. In no world were the implications of what was said to me intended to be kind. This is a healthcare and healing profession first and foremost. If I'd had a dollar for every time someone smeared their preference for athletes in my face over the course of my treatment, I could probably retire. If you're not a fireman or police officer, even if you do work a difficult service job, don't allow yourself to get stuck with this place. Matt, the top guy whose bio totes how practicing in this place gives him the opportunity to minister, appeared only capable of bullying. From day one, he continued to make passive-aggressive or belittling comments toward me. At one point, he inferred I was "retarded". Instead of directly and clearly answering a clarifying question, he continued to repeat himself because the most important message was about him and his sleeping habits, and not a clear answer about his professional recommendation. Keith is too self obsessed to do his job properly. While he's telling me how handsome he is, I'm trying to communicate that an area of the injury isn't being worked on properly. I was eventually shut down, only to find out from my case worker and doctor that the part I needed worked on was, in fact, covered. Seems like there's a lot of clique-yness and drama in this place. I know I wouldn't want to work for Matt, and Keith is just as presumptuous. He believes he's top dog and walks around saying it loudly. Very loudly. Something about the food chain and outdated Neanderthal brained concepts. There were a couple of patient and kind therapists here, but it's hard to trust considering how much snide back talking I overheard from, well, just about everyone. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this place. I also learned that I shouldn't have had to endure the verbal abuse that I experienced while a patient there. If I ever end up in this situation again, I understand I can change locations instead of enduring inappropriate treatment.

Fantastic experience: I am a professional track and field athlete. I first started coming to KPT in April of 2024 for an injury. Ever since then I try to come into the clinic as often as possible to get treatments and do rehabilitation exercises. I've been to many physical therapy clinics throughout my career and Kinematics outshines all the rest. Every single person on the staff is amazing and very detailed oriented. I live in LA but I prefer to come to KPT for physical therapy because I know I will be well taken care and that my injuries will be a priority.

Fantastic experience: Everyone that deals with workman comp cases knows that many of times the level of care that is often given is a waste of time. However, when I was I told that I was going to receive physical therapy I was very hesitant as to where and what that would consist of. The minute I walked through those doors at Kinematics I knew this place was very different from your normal and boring physical therapy places. The staff were very knowledgeable and knew exactly what exercises needed to fix your need. You will not go through the motion at Kinematics, you will be putting in effort and will feel the difference right away. Thanks Matt for your service that you and your entire staff provided me in order for me to feel better.

Fantastic experience: Initial appointment was very thorough and the therapist paid particular attention to my injuries. The therapists challenged me but ensured that safety protocols were followed when performing exercises. They were all very attentive & I left not dreading coming back!

Fantastic experience: I went to Kinematics last year after a knee replacement. They were awesome Went to go this year after my other knee replacement and my insurance won’t cover so I’m Out of Luck. I loved this place

Shout out to Jake for those majestic hands, which they all do as well. They have a great attention to detail and this is coming from a Marine Corps combat Vet that care about the minor details.

Fantastic experience: I’m Leo Sepulveda, currently playing professional soccer for Chivas Guadalajara and previously played for Granada CF in Spain and LA GALAXY. KTP was recommended to me by a coach here in SoCal because I came home carrying an injured one summer and I have to say the care and treatment process by Matt and his team is top notch. Like I said, I was only here for the summer and with only about 8 sessions, KTP had me fully recovered from my injury. I’ve gotten and seen many treatment and rehabilitation therapy from professional soccer institutions like Chivas, Galaxy, etc, and KTP’s work is equally or even better than these programs. All I can give is a thanks to the KTP fam for the work and care given to me!

Fantastic experience: First time at this location for therapy. Staff is very friendly. Christina and Sam are my two therapist. Very knowledgeable, hands on (pun intended) and give good advice for your physical ailments. I highly recommend this location for rehab.

Fantastic experience: Kinematics Physical Therapy has been great for my needs. I had the pleasure of having Cassie, Matt & Christine for my physical therapists. They are all excellent! They really listen to me and assist with my individual needs on a given day. They don’t just explain how to do an exercise but why and how it will help me to recover. They allow me to be somewhat independent while keeping an eye on me to make sure my form is correct. The assistants I most frequently have worked with are Jake, Alexis, Isaiah & Mark. They have all been excellent too. I have been to physical therapy at several different location. I highly recommend Kinematics Physical Therapy!

Fantastic experience: Began my journey to help heal my left knee back in late July. The first day I met Christine and she talked me through everything and was just so nice. As my next appointments came up I got to work with Jake for the most part and Cassie as well. Having Sam, Mark, and Isaiah there to aid me with the exercises made things so much easier and made things much more comfortable, especially with their encouragement. The entire staff is amazing and I'm happy with the care and attention they put in to helping me get better!

Fantastic experience: I was sent to Kinematics to rehab a broken ankle. From day one, I knew that I was in the right place. My initial consult was very thorough. Matt was very knowledgeable, professional, informative and humorous. The entire staff at Kinematics is welcoming, engaging and excellent at getting the best out of you. They know what they are doing. They have fixed and supported me through many injuries and setbacks, which has allowed me to continue participating in the physical activities that I love. Best therapist I've ever had, extremely knowledgable, and doesn't waste your time. He will definitely push you, but not in a bad way. He's all about getting you healthy, fast! Fantastic experience: Kinematics Physical Therapy is amazing! I had dislocated my knee cap and had started pt at Kaiser. I wasn't getting any results and I felt like the physical therapist didn't know what she was doing and hardly worked me out. So I sought out a better recovery program and found it with Kinematics Physical Therapy! They are extremely knowledgeable and professional. The staff there knew exactly what my injury was and exactly how to treat it to see results and improvements. I highly recommend Kinematics to anyone looking for physical therapy needs. They are the best in the area, hands down!

Fantastic experience: I have only been to therapy here for 3 of my 16 approved visits. I must say with each visit I improve in mobility, strength & balance. I am so far very impressed with the therapist and their attention to each person's needs. Update: 08/18/2023 I have been with Kinematics for nearly a year now. I had a surgery that my doctors had warned me would take in excess of a year to recover. During this time I have been seeing Jake as my main therapist with Christina pinch hitting on occasion. From my perspective, no matter which therapist you work with you will get the attention you need for your specific issue. I did not think PT was going to be easy from past experiences, but I am a strong believer in it. When working with Jake, he realizes my weaknesses and addresses them in a systematic way to help me recover. When doing the exercises, the staff (who make it fun) gives you the instructions and then continually checks to make sure you are doing them correctly. Kinematics Physical Therapy is by far and away the best and I highly recommend them. Lastly, I must say the entire staff makes me feel welcome, has my recovery as their goal and continually gives me the positive reinforcement to continue the road to recovery. What more could you ask for?

Fantastic experience: My 13 year old son tore his acl, in pop warner football being so young and barely starting his football career we were extremely nervous for his future. We tried the basic physical therapy our insurance provided and we were not satisfied. Came here and felt that they really cared about my sons future. Everyone is so helpful. They do not rush your through the therapy they take time and make you feel important. Thwnk you Kinematics for making this rough journey a little bit easier on our family.

Fantastic experience: I truly appreciate all the staff at Kinematics. After 10 surgeries I am trying not to have an 11th in my near future. The kinematics staff has really had to think out of the box with my needs and has gone above and beyond. I am convinced I would have all ready lost my graft. Kinematics is definitely a place to go that looks at their patients individually and devises individual treatment plans to address what your needs are. It’s a place to go if you have “failed” PT elsewhere. Don’t hesitate to give them a call. As a PT myself, I know good PT when I see it. This is where you should go to be your best!

Fantastic experience: I’m Camryn Bynum and I currently play for the Minnesota Vikings. I formerly played at Cal and also attended Centennial high school. I’ve been coming here since my sophomore year of high school and the team at Kinematics has literally walked me through my whole sports career ever since my first visit. I’ve been blessed to have never missed a game in my career thanks to the treatment, rehab, and injury prevention programs they put me through. They’ve gotten me through 2 surgeries in which I felt better post surgery than I did even before the injuries even occurred. Kinematics is not just a temporary fix and that’s why I fell in live with this clinic. They put me on a program to fix the current problem, figure out what caused it, and strengthen everything around it to prevent an injury in the future. Fantastic experience: I tore my ACL in October of 2019 playing soccer and had surgery in January of 2020. Matt told me that they’ll take care of me. So for the next 6 months following my surgery I went twice a week and Kinematics did exactly that. (All while being covid compliment.) They built me back up and got me ready for light physical activities. Since then, I have tried to replicate some of the exercises that I would do there on my off time. It’s been about 14 months since my surgery and countless hours of physical therapy but I finally played my first game of organized soccer. The emotions that I felt were indescribable, a smile from ear to ear. This wouldn’t be possible with out them, so thank you Kinematics. The jourknee continues!

Fantastic experience: My name is Brittany and Recently I tore my MCL and "dealt" with the injury for 8 months during Covid before finally going to see a doctor. The doctor said I may need surgery and to start pre-op physical therapy which I was referred to Kinematics. I came in and met with Matt who was SO welcoming. He took the time to explain to me my injury, making me feel comfortable and confident in him and the team. Matt completed an exam on my knee to see my strength and mobility and from there made me my own unique program to get me ready for surgery (So we thought!) The staff is outstanding. Everyone is super nice, welcoming and knowledgeable. Dee was always a friendly face to come in to work with and from day 1 Tyler was always patient and encouraging. I completed 10 session starting slow and by the end I had full strength/mobility back! My knee is fully recovered and NO SURGERY NEEDED at this time! DEFINITELY OWE it to the TEAM at Kinematics!!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to see Dr. Matt at Kinematics since I was a Senior at Norco High School. Since then have gone on to play baseball at Cal Baptist University and two years of professional baseball in the Tampa Bay Rays organization. I have had nothing but fantastic experiences at Kinematics throughout my years going there from getting professional work done to help me recover to exercises programmed to help influence a proper recovery. Negative experience: I made an appointment had insurance checked then one week later and a half hour before appointment I get a call saying we don't take your insurance and that I can pay 1hundred dollars out of pocket to keep appointment. Scammers trying to scam me out of money.

Fantastic experience: These guys are great! They're very professional, caring personable and all of them have your best interest at heart. I highly recommend them. They're a great staff to have working on you. I was battling a bad groin and lower back. Matt was able to assess and help me to the road to recovery. I was back playing soccer in no time. Fantastic experience: Kinematics is the best! I don't think I knew what a real physical therapy place was until I found Kinematics. I have been to a couple different places before and they were depressing and helpless. Matt and his staff have restored my hope and give me relief from my back problems. I have only been twice and I have gone from off work, too light duty. I want to get back to my life and Kinematics is helping me do that. I cannot thank them enough!

Fantastic experience: I run because I love it and because running helps me relieve stress. Hip pain was interfering with my routine, and I was referred to physical therapy. The earliest appointment I could get at the PT office my PCP referred me to was 3 weeks out! A friend recommended Kinematics Physical Therapy. She said the atmosphere was professional, yet personal, and Dr. Matt Fujita was passionate about his practice and his patients. She was absolutely right! I called and was seen the following day. After a thorough exam and consultation, and about 3 weeks of work, I'm already experiencing relief. The staff is knowledgeable and they genuinely care about the progress their patients are making. I can't thank Kinematics Physical Therapy enough for helping me get back into my running routine!

Fantastic experience: Arrived at Kinematics as skeptical as one gets. 6 years of pain, surgeries and therapies had left me doubtful there would be any improvement or help offered within. The first thing I noticed was the family atmosphere, not the typical arrogant servant master office usually seen. Second was, the practical approach with explanations of what we were doing and why. After the first visit I was at least hopeful. Second visit we got right to work. I had a SLAP tear repaired and it hurt, but with the right physical therapy we worked it to the point of feeling better. I was/am impressed, by every member of Matthew Fujita's team. He is knowledgeable, professional and really good at what he does.

After some very poor experiences with physical therapy places in the past, I highly recommend Kinematics to anyone trying to get back after any sports injury! Matt and his team have gotten me back to feeling healthy and playing confidently and comfortably with Meg City Futsal and the Ontario Fury. Fantastic experience: Kinematics is by far the best physical therapy place I've ever been to. I've gotten injured many many times in the past few years and every time I've been to PT, I didn't have a great experience. But here, I find myself spending extra time and wanting to stay longer! Matt and his staff are so caring and make that extra effort to connect with every patient that walks in. It immediately feels like you're hanging out with family. We were limited on time for me to recover from my knee surgery because I'm leaving for Italy. No problem for Kinematics! I'm hiking again and have almost my full range of motion back.
