Dumont Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care

Fantastic experience: We’re a bit late with this posting, but we still want to contribute by sharing our experience. Aunt Pauline lived at The Dumont exactly 4 years to the day after her arrival in December 2019. What a remarkable coincidence that she would die on that very day and in such caring hands. We feel profound gratitude for the care that Pauline received during her time at The Dumont. We enjoyed our visits on site with her there and the staff went out of the way to facilitate Zoom birthday parties with all the Canadian and other far flung family members. While we knew that the staff were fond of her, some said they loved her. Jean from the Recreation Team especially loved Pauline. The Director of Recreation recounted how much she enjoyed Pauline stopping by, showing up in her office “just to hang out”. Upon her death, we were consoled by their remembrances of Pauline and were told that she’s missed. After we spread her ashes in Central Park and sent photos, staff told us they "felt a sense of peace" for Pauline. Thanks again for all the love and fun and care you gave her.

Fantastic experience: As someone who has had the pleasure of working with their rehab staff, Dumont consistently provides amazing care! Their team has always shown the upmost support and we love working with them.

Fantastic experience: Dumont is a great place for your loved one, but like any other facilities you have to be there frequently. Since October 2023 my husband has been a resident at Dumont, and I have notice a huge health improvement from his last facility. Some of there CNA's do take pride of their patients. The Rehab team are amazing. The Concierge by the name of Destini she's one of a kind, she has and still there for me and my husband when everything else fell on death ears. Other family members says and agree of Destini professionalism for the residents of Dumont, We need more compassionate, empathic and knowledgeable workers like her, and she will follow up what was the discuss or if the issue was resolved. The Adm. Joe, he does take time and listen to any issues, problems or concerns you may have. He is also a understanding wonderful caring Adm. the Nurses are friendly and caring too. Dumont maintenance keeps there place, clean and the food is not that bad. The front desk Rep. Mr. Hall very professional with every visitor and family members who walks in. But you must find out all fine line details. They won't tell you everything. M.W.
