Higher Physical Therapy

Fantastic experience: I broke my shoulder at the beginning of March of 2023. A friend recommended Higher Physio for my recovery, and they are fantastic! I am used to going to PT in large open rooms with a ton of people bustling about and PTs focusing on at least two people at a time, and only giving you a 45 minute appointment. That worked for my injuries in the past, but this injury needed serious rehab with focused attention. I had the fortune of seeing Andrea, June AND Julie. They are each amazing in their own ways. I could go into serious detail about how each of these practitioners operate, but suffice it to say that their techniques each helped me heal faster than expected and nearly to complete healing. The rest is up to me at this point, because I have to keep up with my exercises. I feel like you can’t lose with these three women. One or all of them are sure to be right for you. They each took my needs into serious consideration and I felt better every time I left the office. Good luck with YOUR healing!

Fantastic experience: My work with Julie Zapata, and with myofascia practitioner Angie, has been transformative. After 5 MRIs and consultations with surgeons eager to operate, I have chosen instead to work regularly with Higher Physio, and have gained and continue to gain mobility and strength. This is a life changer!

Fantastic experience: Recovering from surgery and with an ambitious goal for international travel, Higher Physio PT helped me make this possible. Julie is dedicated and focused during her time with patients, which is typically 1:1 for almost an hour. She troubleshoots problems and responds to feedback, drawing on training in PRI, pilates and other modalities. She goes beyond the standardized exercise routines to treat patients individually and provide tools that can be used to improve even outside the session. PT sessions can be supported through effective acupuncture provided by June also. The office staff was competent in scheduling and billing matters.

Fantastic experience: Julie Zapata is a highly skilled and gifted physical therapist. She has greatly helped both my husband and me with treatments and exercises for various chronic postural issues and post-surgical healing & strengthening . Fantastic experience: Julie Zapata is an incredible Physical Therapist. I had a complex problem from an accident, that even the best neurosurgeons, orthopedists, pain management specialists and many physical therapists, couldn’t quite figure out, but Julie Zapata did. She got me from a place of pain 90% of the day and unable to walk without a pronounced limp, to walking without a limp and almost pain free. Her knowledge of the body is extensive and she creates an individualized, creative program, that she adjusts each week as one’s body strengthens , stabilizes and heals. She stays at your side for the entire session guiding you. Not a factory at all. She is a one in a million Physical Therapist and she has really saved my life.
