Marathon Physical Therapy and Sports Performance

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about Marathon Physical Therapy and Sports Performance, and about my personal PT, Gulia Rufo, in particular. I was in PT with Gulia from December through April for a torn meniscus and baker's cyst. Gulia was incredibly attuned to my body, and put so much thought and attention into developing a program for me, adjusting it along the way as my needs changed. Every week I saw Gulia, she remembered exactly where we left off, and made me feel genuinely cared for as a human being. My knee pain and mobility improved so much under Gulia's care that I canceled the meniscus surgery which was scheduled in March. Gulia also did research on my behalf to determine the short and long-term pros and cons of surgery, which greatly aided me in making the decision to cancel it. As a whole, the staff at Marathon PT and Sports Performance create a warm, welcoming, and motivating environment. I am so grateful to have found them and to have been matched up with Gulia!

Fantastic experience: I wanted to share my extremely positive experience with Marathon Physical Therapy in Newton, MA. For the past 6 months, I have been going there for PT for chronic low back pain. My therapist (Lubo) is incredibly knowledgeble and extremely experienced. During our first session, he did a thorough assessment that allowed him to diagnose my problem and create an individualized exercise plan. I have been going to see him pretty much 2x/week and am doing much much better thanks to him and his team. I also had the good fortune to work with one of his students (Jamie) for a few months and she was incredibly helpful as well. Both of them have a wonderful attitude, consistently offering encouragement, modifying my exercises based on my progress, and offering many practical tips. If you have a need for any type of PT, I strongly strongly recommend that you consult with Lubo, Jamie, and the team at Marathon PT in Newton.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I graduated from physical therapy at Marathon in Newton! I had been going since January 31 for shoulder pain, usually about twice a week. Michele was my amazing physical therapist. She was caring, professional, and kind! I have nothing but high praise of her work with me. The assistants who also worked with me were, each one, great! And every day I was warmly welcomed at the reception area by Serena. Marathon is a wonderful place! And my shoulder is now great!

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience at Marathon In Newton. Giulia Rufo PT, DPT, and all the great staff worked with me on my neck and shoulders, starting by freeing up my neck and working toward better posture, and then strengthening my shoulders which had been limiting my activities. Giulia was thorough in the questions she asked and attentive to my questions. Overall friendly environment at Marathon made it a pleasure even when they worked me through many quite demanding exercises.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been going to Marathon PT for a long time and have always received exceptional care and treatment. Most recently I had a devastating knee injury that Hayes treated with utmost professional care. I have been seeing him for almost a year for this issue and I can’t imagine that any other place would have given me better care. Having been going here for so long I’ve seen the care that they give everyone whether it be an older person, teenager or in between. The staff is congenial and always professional. We have had first hand experience with Hayes and Lubo( who helped my husband work through sciatica to the point where he is back on the soccer field). When discussing treatment with my orthopedist it is clear that the Marathon staff stays up on the latest techniques. Marathon is as far as I am concerned. Thank you Hayes, Nate, Felipe, Alex and everyone at Marathon!
