Progressive Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Costa Mesa/Newport Beach

Fantastic experience: Progressive Physical Therapy is Amazing. I have had a traumatic injury and have gone to many PT places over the years but no one compares to Michael and the Progressive PT team. Michael has helped me along this journey and keeps me going with his expertise and kind heart. His knowledge is beyond any orthopedic doctors’ I’ve met and thank goodness. I don’t know where I would be today without his help.

Fantastic experience: I’m a D1 rower and in the spring I started having extreme back pain. My athletic trainer at school diagnosed a muscle spasm. When I came home for the summer, Rachel found that my SI joint was out and that was causing the spasm. Soon enough I was able to function normally without pain! Rachel was super knowledgeable about the SI joint and listened when I voiced concerns. Now, I’m ready to start the fall season, feeling strong and healthy!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Progressive for over a year due to back problems. Michelle does deep tissue massage on my back and hips. I honestly don’t know what I would do without her and the other staff at Progressive. They are so professional, caring and amazing at what they do. I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My son is a high school baseball player (pitcher) in Orange County, CA. He was experiencing neck pain and knots under his shoulder blades. Dr. McKindley and his team determined that this was caused by weakness in these areas (weakest part of the kinetic chain). He had 10-15 sessions with the Progressive Physical Therapy team. He continues to perform the exercises that they prescribed on his own and has been pain free for six months. Words cannot explain how much this has helped his performance. Thank you! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Progressive PT has treated a couple of conditions I've had over the last 2 years. The staff and therapists are wonderful. The therapy is effective and everyone listens to your concerns and has a strong desire to have you be 100%! On the occasion when I am in pain or feeling like no progress is being made, they listen and regroup to address any new conditions to get you moving again!

Fantastic experience: This is the BEST place for physical therapy!! I’ve been to other spots before and ironically I have left worse than when I went in. Working with Rachel was the most amazing experience, not only is she an absolute pleasure, she truly knows her stuff! I came in for a bad back injury where I could not sit, stand or lay down without excruciating pain. A few months later after attending PT a few times a week and eventually once a week, I’ve been released and I am completely pain free and have my life back! Disclaimer- you have to do the routines daily to see results and that’s what I did with Rachel’s guidance. This is a place where they want to heal you and let you take control and get your life back, their intent is not to keep you for endless sessions to bill. That was apparent from day one. Thanks to the entire team!

I highly recommend Progressive PT in Costa Mesa overall, and especially for SI issues. The desk staff is also incredibly caring and works very hard to accommodate schedules, navigate insurance and help in every way a patient needs. They are THE best!

Fantastic experience: This office is great for athletes and tweens/teens with injuries! Dr. Stanley had kept both my girls playing their sports and helped manage their pain from growing issues and injuries! The front desk is amazing also!!

Fantastic experience: I originally started with Progressive two years ago for my SI Joint Disfunction. It took a while to get under control, but I had the problem for many years. My therapist Stanley was patient with me and helped me understand my problem and what the solution was to correct it and keep it corrected. Because of my SI problems I also had severe arthritis in both my hips which could be addressed once the SI was under control. Last July I got a new left full hip put in and Stanley helped me gain full function and it’s never felt better. Three weeks ago I got a new right full hip put in and again I am going through physical therapy. So after three separate issues I feel I’m an expert on going to PT. At Progressive it doesn’t feel like a drudge to get up and go there, the therapist are all first class with their knowledge and training, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: I tried three PT clinics before I found Progressive PT in Costa Mesa. After months of my doctors trying to figure out what was going on with me , they were immediately able to identify what my problem was sacral iliac joint dysfunction. The PTs here don’t just do the evaluation and hand you off to an aid or assistant. They are hands-on and really know there’s stuff. I worked with Anne and Stanley and they were excellent. I could barely walk when I started going to Progressive PT. I hate to think of where I’d be right now, if I didn’t find this place. If you’re looking for a professional, knowledgeable, and Caring PT clinic, this is your place.

Fantastic experience: I had shoulder surgery and was really anxious about the recovery process and getting back to the things I enjoy doing. This has been the best experience I’ve had with a physical therapy office. While I have primarily worked with Rachel, and had a few visits with Stanley, everyone at the office has been encouraging, making sure that I’m not in pain but also pushing me to challenge myself. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Ive been going here since covid and they have treated me phenomenally. For fixing your hip alignment I have tried like 10 other places but this place has got to be the best! Just be patient and results will show. Something that kept me coming back here are definitely the people and the cleanliness.

Our family has come to Progressive for various issues over the years and have always been treated with patience, kindness and competence. They are our first choice for our physical therapy needs.

Fantastic experience: I previously had therapy at another center but continued to have hip pain. After being evaluated by Michael at Progressive, he determined my pain was caused by a sacral/iliac issue and designed a plan of care to help alignment and strengthen the surrounding muscles. Fantastic experience: I’ve had SI Joint issues for years. I’ve tried a couple of other PT’s with no results. My therapist, Stanley Fung, really listened to me and I finally felt heard. The treatment is different than what I’ve experienced before and it seems to be working so far. The PT assistants are very nice too. I definitely recommend this PT facility!

Fantastic experience: Michael completely changed my life. I had seen eight physical therapists, three chiropractors, an acupuncturist and a back doctor who had given me two epidurals when I finally saw Michael who diagnosed me correctly for the first time. I haven’t had back pain now for two years.

Fantastic experience: I originally found my PT, Moira, through Doctors for Dancers. She did an amazing job helping me work through knee injuries, hypermobility issues, and lower back pain! All without making me stop dancing, which is my passion. I felt like we were a team in getting my body healthier and when it was time for me to continue my therapy at home, Moira made sure I had the resources and understanding to do so. The assistants at Progressive were also always attentive. I also have to give a shout-out to Anh at the front who went above and beyond helping me sort out insurance issues.

Fantastic experience: What my insurance covered was exactly as promised, the care I have received has been stellar! Ana has taken excellent care of me as I have had an injury that was complicated due to other factors. Everyone I have met at the office is really nice and very professional. I highly recommend this place.

Negative experience: 'm really upset by the lack of accountability and shear deception this place offers. It's BS when a company clearly doesn't care about their patients and instead, leads them to undergo treatments that cost more than the value initially promised. Classic case of bait and switch and I will never recommend this company to anyone I know due to their unethical practices. I had some strain in my neck and decided to inquire about the cost of the treatments relative to my insurance. I was told it would be over $130 for the initial consultation and about $60-ish thereafter. I immediately told the front desk that I did not feel comfortable with going through with the treatment until I looked at some other locations for pricing but she stopped me and told me that she had miscalculated. Instead, she told me I would only be paying $25 for the initial consult and $15 thereafter with my insurance. "Sure, why not?", I thought and proceeded with the appointment. I went through with the consult with Miora and was told I should have treatments twice a week. I paid the $25 at the front desk and proceeded with the followup the following week. Fast forward a week later, I get the bill for around $200. When I called to question the charges, all I was told was "Sorry we told you the wrong price but you still have to pay the charges". First of all, I told you specifically that I did not want to proceed with the service and then you lied to coerce me to undergo the session. It's a wonder why this practice is still open. I asked to speak with the manager and she said she was the office manager. She said that I can speak with the Owner but he would tell me the same thing. Here's my message to the Owner: This is NOT right nor is it ethical. When an employee of yours advertises the wrong price for a service, someone should be held accountable. It's NOT okay to simply say "sorry, you still have to pay". Your team clearly lied to me and I believe I should be paying the price I was originally promised for the services.
