Fantastic experience: I first started seeing Frank Kova, Director, in 1997 for cervicalgia (stiff neck, shoulder spasms with headaches) when Oakland Physical Therapy was in the Medical Offices Section, east side entrances to the previous Providence Hospital. He helped me so much every year for neck, back, hand & shoulder issues. I've been in traction & therapeutic massage for deep tissue spasms. I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia since it was first recognized as a controversial ailment. I've dealt with chronic pain most of my adult life along with Sleep Apnea & Arthritis that can have many contributing factors to cause chronic pain. I loved going to this practice ~ always ending up feeling better & had a better quality of life. A real plus to those who did not have their own workout room at home or a fitness membership, was that the gym at Oakland PT was offered to be utilized & enjoy continued strengthening exercises for a small monthly fee after a prescribed session of physical therapy. Frank was always very thoughtful & thorough .. a very good manager of his own personal business. I am writing this now after some years of absence after having both shoulders replaced since, but now needing to again have traction &/or therapy on my back after years have gone by since having radio frequency ablation to "zap" my nerves which has since stopped working after many years of success. Looking for the phone number, Google Maps prompted me to write. Hands down, a great place to feel comfortable & at home with a helping hand always nearby during time of exercising. I always hoped to one day join Frank's wife's Pilates classes which she also held there.
