Fantastic experience: GGPT is amazing! I primarily worked with Adrian and Jona, they were both excellent. It’s great to be able to work with a PT your entire session.

Fantastic experience: This place is fantastic. Adrian is the man. I started going to GGPT after herniating my disc (L5/S1) and experiencing extreme sciatic pain shooting down my leg. At its worst, I had a 10/10 pain level, leaving me completely immobilized. I initially chose GGPT because Adrian was certified in the McKenzie Method, which had previously offered me some relief. However, after several sessions, I discovered many different strategies to alleviate my pain AND strengthen my core to prevent future injuries. Adrian doesn't just adhere to a strict set of protocols like McKenzie or McGill (though he's well-versed and certified); instead, he customizes his approach to meet the specific context, needs, and goals of each individual. Lastly, I must say that Adrian is among the most compassionate and uplifting individuals I've encountered. He provided exceptional support during some difficult times. While I don't expect that from a physical therapist, I deeply appreciate and admire it. The entire team at GGPT is fantastic, and I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: I was a patient at Golden Gate Physical Therapy (GGPT) for more than a year following various types of repairing/rebuilding surgeries. David and the whole team were really amazing. Their level of professionalism, care, support and therapy were the best. The 'homework' that I received to supplement the the therapy I did at each GGPT session (and it is vital to do this homework/exercises) , this just helped to accelerate my recovery and get me back to my target activities and sports. I am so grateful for finding GGPT! And I would without the slightest hesitation recommend anyone to GGPT. Huge thanks to David and the team!

Fantastic experience: Adrian and all the PTs at GGPT are incredible! I went from having a terrible knee injury for 1.5 years, to getting surgery and getting rehabbed by GGPT, and I am now pain free and lifting weights twice a week. Adrian is part PT, part weight trainer, part coach - I could not recommend this clinic more!!

Fantastic experience: I'm a late-twenties active, but injury-prone individual who has had my fair share of PTs over the past decade. Since moving to SF, I've worked with multiple other PTs, but none of them come close to rivaling what Tim can do at GGPT. Tim is hands-down the best PT I've ever worked with, and he deserves an award for the number of injuries of mine he's treated. A part of me is convinced that he is actually some sort of shamanic healer, considering the sheer amount of ailments he's helped me recover from, even after being told by doctors that I'd need surgery. From torn labrums, dislocated shoulders, deteriorating hips, and all forms of tendinitis, Tim has fixed it all, and I'm forever grateful to him for getting me back to doing my favorite activities. In addition to being an outstanding PT, Tim is also an awesome person who constantly provided the reassurance I needed to maintain hope that I would recover.

Fantastic experience: These guys are as good as it gets. I've done PT elsewhere and GGPT is simply in a league of their own. I've worked mostly with Tim and David, who are both extremely skilled. They know the science behind the exercises they recommend, and are flexible enough to adjust to each patient's specific situation and feedback. David is particularly good at deep tissue massage work, which can really open things up to make it easier to do my exercises without pain. Adrian, the owner of GGPT, is also a great clinician and he has created an amazing practice. And the staff at the front desk is extremely friendly, competent and professional. Whether you're an athlete rehabbing from a serious sports injury or someone just trying to regain your daily functionality, I cannot recommend GGPT highly enough!

Positive experience: Poor administrative practices drop the rating to three stars. I left two additional star because the actual PT was great and I accept some responsibility for not checking my email for a statement. I had an outstanding balance for services that was sent only to my email that went to my spam filter. I received no other communications - no mail, no phone call - before they announced they would send my bill to collections. I saw it by happenstance. As mentioned above, I of course accept responsibility for missing the email. However, their notification process is not standard practice: I cannot think of another medical service provider that neither sent a bill nor called. The administrative staff confirmed that the only notice was via email. Even if the bill was sent via mail - which I struggle to believe happened - phone calls are standard.

Fantastic experience: Son los mejores! Te dan un trato muy personal y son superprofesionales. Se respira siempre muy buena energia, todo el mundo es simpático y atento, las 3 mujeres de recepción son una maravilla y todos los fisios son una pasada. Particularmente, David, me ha ayudado mucho de principio a fin, y después de romperme el tobillo puedo decir que ya estoy practicamente recuperado gracias a él. Fantastic experience: I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. The staff is made up of some of the friendliest people I've met. On first glance I was a bit timid. The office was packed with people of all ages doing exercises around various locations within the relatively small space. Sitting on my left was a young man waiting for his appointment, while on my right was an older woman who clearly needed a break from her arduous walk around the room. She was reluctant to keep going which made me giggle. I could completely relate to her as I also wasn't looking forward to my long road to recovery. The women at the counter are the sweetest and make an effort to remember everyone's names. I should be better about remembering theirs. For the past 3 months I've been working with Tony and he is amazing. After several months of dealing with chronic back/sciatica pain and barely being able to walk, I can now say that I have never felt better! I'm still at about 80% but I'm on my way to being back to normal. A state that I never thought I would see again.

Fantastic experience: The physical therapists here were simply outstanding. They knew so much more about my ankle injury than the three doctors I'd seen, and they gave me simple yet highly effective recovery exercises. I spent time with three different therapists, all of whom were outstanding. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Negative experience: They don't even know their address. They gave me the wrong directions so I walked around for an hour until my phone died. They said they were located between Van Ness and Franklin when really, they are on Van Ness between sutter and post. How stupid. After wasting over an hour and a half of my time they wanted me to come back on a different day. When I complained, they offered to make me wait another hour for another appointment. How gracious.
