Negative experience: My mom stayed there and had the worst experience ever I do not recommend this nursing home for anyone I am devastated and disappointed and now my mom lays in the hospital sicker than ever Thanks to them

Fantastic experience: I have been at Maria Joseph for rehab. I would recommend anyone to come here. I have had such a good experience while I have been here. This is a wonder place. They have been comforted me at my time in need. Staff member treated me like family.

Negative experience: They don’t deserve not one star this place is horrible the staff is horrible the care is horrible my grandma has had incident after incident happen to her while she was there that they would just cover up She was on the dementia unit anyone knows they have to be watched 24/7 all they do is sit around the nursing station doing nothing I hate this place please please don’t send your love one here

Fantastic experience: Maria Joseph is a wonderful place to have your loved one cared for. My mother lived at Maria Joseph nursing and rehabilitation for 16 years and she thrived at this facility. My brother is there now and they take very good care of him the nurses and staff on Lourds 3 are some of the most caring and kind people they really care about the patients. Administration is wonderful the social worker and other administrative staff have been awesome they have taken very good care of my brother and have really helped me in some difficult situations concerning my brother not to mention it is one of the largest nursing homes to my knowledge in the Dayton Ohio area it is a very beautifully decorated and well-kept facility and I highly recommend it. This is a facility that really and truly cares about their patients if there is a problem they will do everything in their power to correct it and this is something you don't often experience in other nursing facilities.

Negative experience: Horrible place, it's old and ran down. They neglected my dad. He was dirty and stinky, his bed was nasty every time I went. I would ask for clean sheets to clean his bed up and they always had a nasty attitude about getting them for me. They never cleaned him up or changed his clothes. He fell and hurt his leg and no one even noticed. Soon as I got there I noticed his leg was swollen and he couldn't move it. All they did was give him meds and food every day, nothing else mattered.

Fantastic experience: Brooke McCormick took very good care of my aunt while she was at this facility. I love the care and attention this facility gives the elders. They really take the time to give your loved ones a nice loving home.

Fantastic experience: I recently had the pleasure of doing a tour of this monstrosity of a building. I was very pleased with what I saw, friendly staff, happy residents and a great feeling of family. ♥️ Way to go Maria Joseph….

Negative experience: My friend is reporting very poor treatment by staff every time I see her. And the power just went off at the facility.

Negative experience: I too have a close friend whose father is not receiving the care he deserves nor the respect the family deserves. I saw the documentation. I wouldn't bring animal here let alone a loved one ... so sad the abuse that's aloud to continue in this place

Negative experience: The father of a good friend of mine who has dementia has been living in this literal nightmare of a place. She has shared with me documentation of the neglect, abuse, and mistreatment he has suffered at this place. The staff is uncaring and downright evil in their treatment of this poor man and should all be fired along with the management staff who do nothing to resolve the issues. The state and other agencies have been notified of these violations, and the authorities and media will hopefully be notified in the future. Don't have your loved one admitted to this horrible place, or they might not survive! I would rate this place negative stars if I could.

Negative experience: I am an EMT and drop elderly patients here quite a lot and it is one of the saddest facilities I have ever seen, when we have to wait for the nurses to get them ready I can hear the bells from the patients needing a nurse and meanwhile they're all talking at the desk, ignoring it. The mattresses are full of crumbs and are never wiped. Very sad

Negative experience: I have a friend who's grandmother was a resident there and she was getting mistreated by one of the female aids. So I wouldn't recommend that anyone should place a loved one there.

Positive experience: I have family that reside at Maria Joseph and it was the best decision for each of them. They have both flourished and receive quality care. Great job MJC!!!

Negative experience: Don't take your loved one there, I'm only giving it a 2 star cause of the housekeeper... I don't wanna go into details but my cousin was only there for six day's and they almost killed him j rd at the Valley now fighting for his life.

Negative experience: My mother was here for two weeks and it was a good stay until her last day there her phone came up missing. A brand new phone that now i have to replace and of course no one knows what happened to it and of course no one was caught on camera going into her room. Very sad case

Negative experience: I am a current patient in rehab, this place is terrible, never send a loved one here. The patiemt care staff are wonderful, but the nurses are another story. They are non-responsive to patient needs, unreachable, and not helpful at all. I have to keep track of my own medication, and ask for it when it's time. If I don't ask, I don't get the meds, and even when I do ask, it can take up to 2 hours before I get anything. And NOT because it isn't time, just because they camtcbe bothered.

Positive experience: The people were nice and took good care of my dad. The building in general stank to the high heavens though most of the time.
