Fantastic experience: My wife was a patient here. I couldn't have asked for a better place. The staff was so kind and helpful with her care. If I wasn't able to make it in for a visit the nurse always kept me updated on her progress. This facility was so clean as well. I would recommend Kindred to anyone and everyone. I want to say thank you to the entire staff for caring for her.

Fantastic experience: My husband was here for 3 weeks and he was treated very well. He had a major surgery and needed to come to kindred to have further treatment. The staff is awesome, very caring. Would highly recommend this place. 5 stars love everyone there

Fantastic experience: I came here with a trach and unable to move my legs or even arms. They helped me heal faster and get my trach removed and working to walk again. Great staff nurses and management I fully recommend. Shelly, Amy, and Dairyn were some of the best nurses to take care of me but all of the nurses were awesome.

Negative experience: If zero stars was an option, I would choose it. Without sharing the details of the horrible treatment of my dad, I can say that the majority of the staff were atrocious. They were all smiles and politeness when we were on a tour, but were lazy and rude once my dad was checked in. They acted like it was an inconvenience to do their job. Their incompetence makes me regret ever sending my dad to the facility. I should have known better.

Fantastic experience: My brother was here for several weeks. My family and I had the opportunity to get to know a lot of the staff here. From the first person I met (Eva) , she made me feel welcome and helped me learn my way around. The nurses I met were so nice and supportive . Ryan, Merriann, Eva, Clara, Virginia, Taylor, and I’m sorry if I forgot someone. Thank you to everyone who took such great care of my brother. Fantastic experience: We have a family member at Kindred. It is always hard to have need of use of someplace like this, having said that our experience has been wonderful. From the housekeeping staff to the office and everyone in between they’ve treated him with compassion and treated him like family. He continues to get therapy and care that exceeds our expectations and we truly appreciate everyone there. Would not hesitate to recommend this facility!

Fantastic experience: To whom it may concern. My father in law had a stroke and has been At Kindred hospital for close to 3 months now and I have never been more impressed with a staff from the front desk who is always very polite and helpful, to the nurse staff who are always very friendly,knowledgable and always compassionate to the patients to the Doctors care. I truly feel like a part of their family. 5 stars doesn’t even scratch the surface of how much I appreciate this staff and facility. Thanks again for all you do!

Fantastic experience: These people!!! I can not begin to express what an amazing place Kindred is. The level of care and compassion is something I have never experienced in any other hospital environment. The attention to all the little details, that are so very important in the journey to recovery are not forgotten @ Kindred. The only downside is leaving the beautiful Kindred family behind when they have you back on your feet. If I could give them 10 stars I absolutely would!!!

Fantastic experience: My dad has a 15 inch open wound from a huge abscess that they are treating. The service has been amazing. He is a Veteran and was at Wright Patt Medical Center, but Dad transferred to Kindred. I found Kindred through suggestion, but chose them because a dear friends' mother's life was saved by them when she went to Kindred back in 2016. We are getting the same level of amazing care as my friends mother did. I am thoroughly grateful that Kindred Hospital is near me.

Fantastic experience: I was a visitor for about 11/2 months. I made many friends with the wonderful staff in the critical care unit. I have only the best feelings for these fine people. This is what I remember, they treated me like I could have been their mother. I would highly recommend this hospital to my family friends. Thank you all from the cleaning staff, respiratory, pt, kitchen staff, and especially my favorite nurses.

Fantastic experience: I choose Kindred due to the fact that is close to home and for the care that he needs and they have done amazing so far. Within just a few days my husband has been in Kindred I have received the best results than what I have heard in a while. I am so glad that we choose Kindred. Fantastic experience: When I first came to Kindred I was broken, body and soul. I had been in another facility that had no hope for me. Everything changed for me when I came to Kindred. The nurses cared deeply for me and celebrated every success. It seemed like everyone was rooting for me. The doctors were amazing. From day one the message was, “we’re going to get you better” and they did. I had been battling wound infections and setbacks but they knew what to do and I healed. The two wound care specialists were so compassionate and ensured I was as comfortable as possible during dressing changes. Each and every member of the staff treated me with kindness and respected my dignity. They were so wonderful with my family. My physical therapists were outstanding. I couldn’t move a muscle when they started helping me. When it was time for me to leave everyone came to see me and made me promise to visit. If you or your loved ones need care please go to Kindred. It is life changing, I know they saved mine.

Fantastic experience: I had never even heard of Kindred Hospital before. I was told after my surgery at Soin Hospital, that I would be staying at Kindred for the next 6 weeks while I receive IV antibiotics for the infection I obtained from a pretty bad injury to my toe. Like anyone that is told they have to stay somewhere for 6 weeks, I was not very thrilled. I am a 36 year old single mother of 3 and anytime I have to spend away from my kids isn't my idea of fun. Luckily, I have parents and my ex husband to help. I am also a T-12 paraplegic due to a very bad car accident that happened 5 years ago. I got to Kindred Sept 1st and let me tell you that the staff here at this facility have been MORE THAN great! They have been so kind and very helpful! I never had to press my call light for anything except for when my iv antibiotic had ran its course and the machine would start to beep. And that is only because I always kept my door shut to my room. Every nurse every shift was 100% thorough and always made sure that my every need was met. Once a week the head of each department there at Kindred would meet in my room to go over any concerns I might have and to just update me on my progress that week. They make your stay there very pleasant. I 100% recommend Kindred to ANYONE in need of their services.You can tell that they aren't just working another shift. They actually like their job and put their ALL into every shift they work. They genuinely care about each patient. Whole heartedly. I will recommend Kindred to any friends or family members that are in need of their services! I wish I could thank everyone on here by name but I am awful about remembering that many names lol but I will always remember their faces and their kindness ❤️ Thank you all so so SO much! Fantastic experience: Hi! I am just writing to express my gratitude for the care my brother has received over the past few weeks after being admitted to Kindred from a large area hospital. He had many serious issues and required a lot of care. I live and work in New York so couldn't be there with my brother or my mother, who visits him there everyday. I call my mom every night for updates and she has had nothing but praise for the doctors, nurses and staff of the facility. This gives me such peace of mind knowing that my brothers condition has been monitored by such a caring, attentive group of professionals and that my mom feels he is being well taken care of and is right where he needs to be. Thank you to one and all for such great work. My brother has gotten so much better under your care and is scheduled to go home on Thursday! Fantastic experience: The progress my husband has made since coming to Kindred has truly exceeded our expectations. The staff have been very friendly and have done a wonderful job caring for the patients needs. They are very quick to respond whenever they are called for assistance. Fantastic experience: My husband has been in the hospital for 8 months. We kept going back and forth between the hospital and an LTAC in Columbus. I decided to move him somewhere else, so I googled Kindred hospital of Dayton, I liked the reviews so we came here. My first visit I was so impressed and as time goes on I'm more impressed. The staff is amazing here. They are so kind, always asking me if I need anything to. They have taken great care of my husband and I'm so glad I moved him here. Thank you Kindred for everything you do.

Fantastic experience: Kindred Hospital of Dayton is the best. I can’t begin to tell you how well they are taking care of my brother -in-law. Not only do they take excellent care of the patients, they take excellent care of the families. The times I have been there everyone is smiling and so polite. If at anytime I might need medical care Kindred is the place I want to go. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking care of my brother-in-law and also his wife and family that visit.

Fantastic experience: My brother went to Kindred in pretty rough shape from a large local hospital. TBH I really didn't understand the move and felt a bit frustrated, BUT from the moment we arrived, Kindred felt different. The staff were immediately attentive, took so much time to explain what they planned to do to help my brother get well. My mom is there every day and if she is impressed, everyone should be. She is my brother's caregiver day to day and has high expectations and Kindred has blown her away. They do weekly cross-discipline rounding in the patient room, attentive daily care (even a bath and clean sheets) and everyone clearly knows my brother and tells what they are doing this week to get him well. If you CAN get your loved one here, do it! Without hesitation, you will be impressed with the attention given and the comprehensive care.

Fantastic experience: My father and I chose this hospital for my mother’s care because it is centrally located and convenient to my father & I to get too and to see my mom. Prior to my mom’s arrival my cousin and I drove over to see it. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist. We were impressed with the cleanliness. Ample free parking is a bonus to this facility. When my mom arrived to Kindred Hospital, the nurses made her feel comfortable and at home, they bathed her and started taking care of her needs. Every nurse, doctor, caseworker, OT, PT, ventilator therapist, dietitian, Speech Therapy and chaplain has been amazing, letting us know every stage and process for her care. I highly recommend this amazing hospital to care for your love ones. It truly has been a pleasure to go here and meet each person who cares for my mom.

Fantastic experience: Our family can't recommend Kindred Hospital in Dayton highly enough. They treat their patients with dignity and respect, but they also go out of their way to ensure family member's of patients are being taken care of as well. The staff calls one another family and you can really feel the level of care with which everyone does their job. Even the CEO pitches in and assists with patient care. Each week, the entire care team for each patient meets to discuss progress and next steps and asks for genuine feedback regarding patient care. My family couldn't be happier with my brother's care since being transferred from Miami Valley's ICU nearly two weeks ago. The level of dedication, care and warmth is unlike anything I've ever seen, and I used to work in a hospital.

I can't say enough about the staff especially: PCTs Eva, Tonya, Renee, Carmelia. Nurses, Sharon, Carla, Dariyan, Tammy, Julia, Janea, Taylor, Erica. All the OT/PT Allie, Leslie, Speech Jennifer. Fantastic experience: This is a follow-up. If anyone needs special care. For any length of time. One is never going to find a better place than kindred. My had a two different stays at kindred before her passing. And tge nurses, physically therapist, respiratory therapist. Chaplin. Everyone made sure she was taken care I felt like also. Fantastic experience: My husband was at Kindred Hospital Dayton Ohio from Jan. 21 - Feb. 26, 2024. If we could give them 10 stars we would. His initial start was in the ICU with the fabulous Dr. Rubio and the entire nursing staff including Paula -MT. They made sure they were addressing his needs and Dr. Rubio spent time talking to me to develop the plan to ween him from the ventilator in record time. He moved out of ICU and continued to get top notch care. I want to call out several team members that when above and beyond caring for him. They also ensured that I was taken care of too Kellye - Dir of Nursing, Jen - Speech, Virginia - RN, Latonya - PCT. Jane - RT and Eva - PCT (aka Feisty) he loved every time you walked into the room. You took fantastic care of him and made his day. The entire therapy team went above and beyond to build his strength and confidence - Doug, Leslie and Ally. Ally you really made his day by spending time with him the last 30 minutes he was there. He thanked you for helping him and wanted to take you with him. He said everyone treated me like a person, a family member not just the patient in room XXXX. The professional approach and care team meetings are the bar I hold all other facilities to now. Getting the updates and knowing the care plan are important to the patient and the family. I can't thank you enough for including me and allowing me to attend in person. I must call out the folks that made the first and final connections with me while I was trying to decide where to take my husband for care. Stephanie - CL, Dee - Case Manger and Cindy - Patient Relations you are all true professionals that helped immensely. I can't thank you and the entire Kindred care team enough.

Fantastic experience: I admit it's got it's up and down but I'll have to say there is some people that make you feel special as a guest, cindy went beyond and above to make me feel welcome there, Clara was the only one to calm a elderly lady when she was scared., house keeping was amazing... food much better then the valley. Thrudy was my favorite nurse she made me feel like family...

Fantastic experience: Dayton’s best kept secret. The facility is a plus, plus.plus! Nurse ratio is 1 nurse/4 patients Wound care is excellent! The staff took excellent care of my husband.

Fantastic experience: Day one was really crazy. I had a wound nurse come in to help me out on her day off. That made me feel very comfortable. It also made me feel a level of trust I hadn’t felt in some time. Overall I spent 26 days at Kindred. The wound team helped me heal in a very fast, but healthy manner. I was told one time at a previous hospital. To get healing in the way I did. It was another comforting feeling. All the nurses, pct’s, pt, ot, dietary, were all very kind to me and my family. I felt very confident once I was ready to leave for home. I’d spent a total of 56 days in the hospital at that point. I’ve been out a week today. Yesterday I met with the wound NP at her office. I was told I’d be healed in roughly two weeks. Without the wound team, and kindred period, would’ve made my life a lot harder. I don’t want to imagine going home instead of using kindred. I was told I’d go home with a wound vac. That did not happen. I was told many things. When you hear how many people were happy for me and my family. It was very nice to hear. I really hope if you read this, that you get your family member, or yourself into kindred. I really hope this helps someone get the best care they deserve.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing! I have been in 3 different facilities, including Kindred Hospital Dayton, and I have to say that even though this is a place of healing, I have enjoyed my stay here. The staff? They have the cream of the crop working here! Every single person is extremely helpful. They are always checking to see if I need anything, from something to drink to extra blankets. The PT and OT staff are amazing!! They work with you and take their time but they also get the job done! Without them, I would not be in the position that I am and that is getting ready to be dismissed! Every single person on this staff knows what they are doing! From the receptionist at the front entrance to the housekeeping staff, every single person is very professional and very friendly! I don't like being in the hospital, who does? However, if I ever have to be in the hospital again, and I can choose where I want to go, I would definitely choose Kindred Hospital Dayton!

Fantastic experience: This hospital is top-notch on all levels of care! Having spent the last 3 weeks here I've never felt more cared for! From the nursing staff and patient care techs, the dietary staff and housekeeping, case management, Pt, Ot and the doctors as well made feel not just cared for, but cared about! They go out of their way to make sure your stay is as comforting as It can be! I would love to name them all but would hate to leave anyone out!It is like Kindred handpicked the nicest people to work there! I cannot say how much I and my family truly appreciate Kindred Hospital and I would refer this hospital to anyone in need of top care for themselves or loved ones!

Fantastic experience: A place like this isn't a place that anybody wants to go to but, my wife was a patient here for three weeks and I must say that the care that she received here was nothing short of excellent. The care team was amazing. They were caring and considerate. They were always welcoming to family members who were visiting. Most importantly, my wife made lots of progress towards her healing goals while a patient here. I would recommend Kindred to anyone who needs acute medical care.

Positive experience: I decided to write a review for my daughter's first 10 days in Kindred hospital her care there have truly been outstanding so far she still got a long way to go I will do another review at the end of stay I read a review today while I was sitting there from another family and I only can speak by the experience that we have had no place is 100% not even the rehafacility that Jamie Foxx was in no facility going to be 100% today's date is September 21st 2023 I decided to add on to this review about Kindred hospital the first review I did she have been there 10 days she stayed there almost 2 months maybe somewhere around that time the level of care that she received while she was at Kindred was outstanding even when we did not see eye-to-eye about a situation the level of care never change for my daughter The care was always excellent I like to thank the Aides Tanya' Miss Priscilla Miss Lila I cannot remember some of the outstanding nurses in a special shout out to Kelly Jackson I know we stepped on some toes over there only because we care about my child.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend this place if it was the last place on earth. The care given to a family friend that ultimately led her to her death is appalling. The lack of basic care needs all the way up to them not even being able to identify her actual diagnosis. A hole rest in all of our hearts when I’m certain if the time was taken it may or may not have been a different out come. However at least we aren’t all left wondering.

Fantastic experience: Kindred hospital has treated my wife with the upmost professional care. She has responded well to there phisical and respiratory therapy. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Allie H on floor 2 was my friends occupational therapist when he got hit on his motorcycle, that literally shattered almost all of his body and has saved his life. Not only is my friend so strong mentally and physically, but his care team was also very strong to be able to save his life with his numerous injuries and get him pieced back together and on the right rode again to recovery. Thank you kindred hospital, for saving my friend.

Negative experience: I literally got a phone call from someone there today. I missed the call as I was on a call for work. I called back numerous times, called the front desk who sent me the supervisor. I checked to see if my grandmother was the patient or someone else who maybe the patient. She got so nasty and rude with me. She said that would require me to go to every pod and ask I'm not doing that. You can either come find out or wait until you get a return call. I'm in Pennsylvania and not down the street. It's now been several hours no call back and I'm still upset because my loved things I'm ignoring them and it's the staff.

Negative experience: My cousin is presently in Kindred and they are not respectful of Patient Rights. The patient has a Trach yet, she is cognitive in every way. My cousin spiked a 101.7 temp, has a broken hip and is requesting her mother because she told the nurse she is scared. The patients mother was called and states she will come from work which was 10p they told the mother she could not come bc they didn’t have permission. This is this woman’s only child if something happens to her after just losing her husband and father in the last year what kind of respect is being given? As a nurse myself I am very familiar with patient rights and I have never encountered such disregard for the patient. We must do better than this. The nurses claim they are short and can’t answer the call lights frequently for her so myself and her mother are available to take that burden off of the personnel. This kid is only 37 years old, step in her shoes PLEASE!!!

Fantastic experience: I just have many great things to say about this hospital! Everyone is very attentive and kind! It’s very clean, and tidy. My mom has felt comfort here. So many wonderful nurses, thank you all!

Negative experience: I walked in for the first time today, and I felt very unwelcome here. As I was walking to the bus stop, I went inside of the hospital for a brief minute because it was very hot outside and I needed to use the restroom. The lady at the desk was very disrespectful and had an attitude with me going to the restroom. Mind you, she pointed in the direction of the restroom for me to go, and as I walked out of the restroom to get water, she deliberately yelled at me from the front desk saying "WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THE RESTROOM." I did NOT accept that at all and I will not be coming back!!!!!! if I could rate below 0 I would, I do not recommend at all.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience here. They made sure that I was took in care of it all times. The place I came from to here. That made me a mess but they took care of me. I really appreciate all the nurses and all the workers here. They're very polite and they make sure if you need it. They gonna get it for you if you need help. This is a place to come to because they will help you. Here we go

Fantastic experience: Everybody was friendly and professional. He received fantastic care. Rehab worked with him so he got to come home safely with oxygen after 2 weeks. Would recommend Kindred to everybody

Negative experience: I had a horrible experience as a patient's daughter. She was not given the correct medications, she was treated horribly by the nursing staff. Her care was subpar at best. After 1.5 weeks I transferred her out to the other LTACH in Dayton.

Negative experience: ***UPDATE*** I just wanted to clarify a couple things, bc after speaking to my mother I got some things wrong, and I don't want to deceive anyone. First off, she said the nursing staff was not rude at all to her or my brother except the time when my brother needed pain meds and had to wait forever before getting any. Apparently this review has reached bottom, top and everywhere in between, and the purpose is not to cause issues or to get anyone in trouble. It is to provide as accurate info as possible for those who may find themselves in this situation. My parents took quite a while to decide which acute hospital to send my brother to, and after careful consideration, they chose Kindred. After being transferred there, they realized it was not the decision they should made. Hopefully things will be implemented in the future for them to do and be better. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My down syndrome brother was diagnosed with esophageal cancer back in October. He has been put thru the ringer and then some over the last several months and had major surgery in May. He's had complications from the surgery and stayed in Kettering for 5 weeks before being transferred to the ICU at kindred. The level of care he has received since being in kindred has been the absolute worst care he has ever received. Ketterings step down unit is better than this circus show. They changed everything around on him without consulting anyone or even meeting my brother and mom (his legal guardian) including his formula feed (he's on a feeding tube). His nurses are incompetent, they constantly give him the wrong formula or they switch his dosage and flush intervals on the formula and water intake, they're rude as hell, he has developed sores on his bottom and instead of turning him to help with this, they refuse and say it's bc my mom said she doesn't want them to (which never happened). The doctor has told my parents that in his opinion he will never get better and upsetting us so bad, but his surgeon team from Kettering says that is not true and despite all my brother has been through, he's doing quite well. He has 3 chest tubes to help drain fluid that has built up in his body which in turn causes him immense pain. He had to wait 27 mins this morning for his nurse named Dee to come and give it to him. My mom walked out to see what was going on and when she told her that my brother still needs pain meds, all she said was she is aware. This woman was sitting in a chair and smarting off to my mother not once but twice about giving him pain meds and then made him wait another 10 mins to give it him bc of what?!! This is supposed to be a hospital where patient needs come first. Instead, his entire stay my brother and parents have had to fight tooth and nail just to get the care he needs in order to come home! It makes me wonder if he's not receiving good care bc of his disability and bc of skin color. Would never recommend anyone staying here if they expect the best possible care, they'd probably let ya die before that ever happened.

Fantastic experience: My father has been in Kindred for about 3 weeks, and while that seems like a long time, he has made great progress with their help. The staff is always friendly and will get you answers if they don't have them. He has required specialized wound treatment, and they have been great.

Fantastic experience: Our experience at kindred hospital was great the doctors & nurses took very good care of what was needed to help get my love one on the right track to getting well to come home. Fantastic experience: Our family member has been treated at kindred. They have done an amazing job and are very helpful. They have taken amazing care of our neice and she has come a long way. The care she has received has been tremendous. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone.

Negative experience: This place is disgusting. The way the nurses have treated my grandmother when she called to get information about my uncle who was being taken off life support makes me sick. They haven't done anything to help my uncle and they pretty much gave up on him. The nurse who was just on the phone treated my grandmother like absolute garbage. Do not ever under any circumstances let your loved one go here.

Fantastic experience: Came to Kindred after being released from Kettering Medical Center. Spent a month in Kindred. Have to say I received excellent care here. All the Staff, Nurses, Aides and others were simply wonderful, very caring and professional. If you need somewhere to go for follow-up care this is definitely the place you want to be.

Fantastic experience: I'm still currently healing as of writing this but I was brought to Kindred for wound care and physical therapy. When i got here I couldn't walk on my own, I had to use a walker and have someone with me. With the help from their physical therapists I was able to get back to walking on my own within a week or so of being here. My wound was a lot deeper and bigger than it is now and I was in constant pain from it, with their help my wound has gotten smaller and is close to being fully healed. The nurses and staff all made me feel welcomed and safe, they helped me a lot. Especially since I'm a 19 year old going through a difficult experience, the surgeries I went through and the healing part was a lot for me to handle but with their help I'm able to feel mostly like my old self again. One night I did have a break down but my nurse came in to give me my nightly meds and once she saw me crying she sat down on my bed with me and held my hand, she left me vent about what was wrong and she gave me some advice and comforting words. After that she asked if she could pray with me, I personally don't have a religion since I don't know nor care to know if there is a higher power but I accepted her offer and she said a prayer. She held onto my hand tightly as she said what she said, I personally may not believe that a unknown God was listening but hearing what she said really comforted me, just knowing how she cared and was willing to call out to the unknown helped me that night. All the nurses I've had have been super wonderful and comforting, they all show that they care in their own little ways and its helped me a lot.

Fantastic experience: I had the best care here! Nice staff and a great wound team. They go out of their way to make my family feel welcome as well. Most places wouldn't let my kids visit and it makes the time I'm recovering a little easier

Fantastic experience: My son was a patient at Kindred hospital for three weeks. He received excllent care. The nurses and aids were very attentive to his needs and helpful to me. They answered all my questions and made sure I was satisfied. The doctor was attentive as well. When my son was discharged I received a call from the hospital asking how he was doing. That made me feel good they cared about him after he left there charge. I am very pleased with them and cant praise them enough for the care the showed my son.

Respiratory therapists Chris and Jared and others .My OC is Karen y'all will love her as I do, who has helped me with getting stronger. Physical therapists, Doug and Leslie are super getting me to walk again. This in my opinion is a definite 5 star hospital. I would give it 10 stars if it let me.

Negative experience: I have a love one in here who has went through traumatic changes in her life. Nurses are and have been very rude to even fact "that they didn't want to be bothered and that they would not help her". I've never in my life have I ever witnessed such rudeness and disrespect from a nursing staff with no concern for the patients they are suppose to be taking care of.

Fantastic experience: My Father was admitted into Kindred after being in the ICU at Kettering Hospital for over a month. He had developed pneumonia from complications of C-19. When he arrived at Kindred he was still on the ventilator, had a tracheotomy, was severely malnourished. After 3 weeks at Kindred he is discharging to an intensive rehab facility this Friday. Our family will be forever grateful for the care and attention he has received. There is hope even when it feels hopeless.

Fantastic experience: Tiffany in ICU was great with my husband. Doug with physical therapy always got my husband up and walking. The doctors and nurses responded quickly. Dairiyn always asked if he could help my husband and was attentive to his needs Jennifer, speech therapy worked with my husbandto get him swallowing again. Jennifer,patient relations always got back to me in a timely manner and followed through.

Fantastic experience: staff has been really great and have kept me informed on any procedures I've needed. The therapy team including Doug have been great. My room is kept clean. Staff is friendly. My trach has been removed and I'm thankful for that. I recommend kindred. Nurses, aides, even embody has been great.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with my husband being at Kindred Hospital. I like the weekly meetings. I thought the doctors and nurses did a great job. They attended to my husband's every need. I think they did a really good job in preparing him for his next step of recovery. We definitely will recommend to others and rate it top notch.

Fantastic experience: I spent a month in their care after a rough fight with pneumonia. The care i received was nothing but top notch. The staff is friendly, helpful, and very supportive, and i cannot think of a better place to be for my respiratory and physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: My wife Judy was admitted to Kindred from Kettering with Covid pneumonia, she was on a ventilator, feeding tube, and a trake. She received great care from a dedicated, kind, and well trained staff. The nurses and therapists brought her back to where she can eat and drink, doesn't need her trake, and able to sit in a chair. Now that the trake is out she is starting to talk also. Kindred exceeded our expectations for Judy's recovery.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient here for 8 weeks and kindred has been nothing short of a miracle for me. The doctors, nurses,respiratory therapists, and entire staff are amazing. I was at a regular hospital for two weeks prior and they cannot offer the same care that I have received here at kindred. God sent me here and I highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of exceptional care. Everyone here feels like family to us now.

Fantastic experience: I have been at Kindred for a week now after being in the hospital several weeks. The whole staff is amazing from Nurses, PCT, PT, OT Respiratory, Client Relations, my Doctors, and everyone. As a bonus, the food is good! I'm on a path to healing and I couldn't do it without all their help. I'm so thankful for everything they do and couldn't ask for a better place to be!

Fantastic experience: My mother recently spent nearly six weeks at Kindred Hospital Dayton. My father and I didn't know much about this facility, as we live an hour and a half a way. However, over the course of mom's stay, we got to know an incredibly dedicated, professional care team, and saw them do everything in their power to help mom improve her health. I would certainly recommend this facility to others.

Fantastic experience: After spending 5 weeks on a ventilator at the hospital due to Covid 19, I was transferred to Kindred with a tracheostomy tube for further recovery. The staff at Kindred were so caring, encouraging and made sure I didn’t feel alone when my family could not come in. They gave positive encouragement with every improvement that I made. When they would come into a room they explained what they were there for and ask if there was anything else that I needed before they left. I worked with Joni, Jen & Amanda in respiratory and was able to get my trach tube out within 1 week. Leslie in PT worked diligently to get my strength and endurance back and Occupational and speech therapies also worked with me to regain my ability to talk and eventually to return home. All of my nurses and PCT’s were awesome. Tyler-PCT, Trudy RN, and Virginia RN’s are a few of my care team that made me feel like I was not alone when my family was not able to be here. Truthfully everyone that took care of me was awesome I just can’t remember all of their names. The food was very good and housekeeping came every day to clean the room. I would highly recommend Kindred if you are needing a LTAC facility.

Fantastic experience: I was transferred to Kindred after a more than 2-month stay at MVH (Main Campus & South) locations, for a bowel blockage and illeus. I will tell you that my experience with this LTAC hospital /facility was so much better than I expected. From the cleaning staff, which was phenomenal, they cleaned my private and nice room; daily. They always spoke, remembered my name (although I am terrible about remembering names), they moved efficiently and with professional quickness every day. I will tell you that I DID NOT receive this level of cleanliness at the hospital I was at and I was shocked. The nurses at this facility are bar none, some of the best I have experienced. I wish I could remember each and every name, but anyone who had been in the hospital for a long period of time, knows how difficult that is. Let me just say, I did not have a bad experience with any of them. My doctor, Dr. Yacoub and his PA, Victoria are the best. Victoria is quick, thorough and professional. She addresses every need and always has suggestions and options to consider. The caseworkers and those working with my insurance and discharge needs are incredible. I had never heard of Kindred before I was sent there, but I will remember them now. If looking for a LTAC Medical facility for you or a family member, do more than just consider Kindred; give them a try…you will not regret your decision.

Fantastic experience: the nurses in general seem to know procedures and how to do them. dr chalasani communicated and listens well. nurses are cheerful. we liked PT but wish they could come more than once per day. overall we were pleased but would encourage people to have their own advocate no matter where you are.

Fantastic experience: I came here pretty sick and i have had excellent care. I was on 10 liters of oxygen when I came here and i was quickly weaned down from 8, 6, 4,2,1 all within a week. Karen with OT makes things fun and is just fantastic. Karen taught me to do exercises while in bed or in the chair and helped me get a positive attitude. Several of my visitors have commented on the friendliness of the staff here . Staff gets ypu anything you need and they remember you. Its been a great experience.
