Fantastic experience: I'm very happy with my experience at Rock Valley so far. Coming in with a very tough rotator cuff repair (I had some ancillary bits as well - the surgeon's description to me was "a bomb went off"), but we're making very comfortable and timely progress.

Fantastic experience: The actual physical therapy is great, and the therapists are amazing. They even cater to my annoying social anxiety by keeping me in a private room when needed. Nobody minds when I cry my way through the exercises. I'm getting stronger physically and emotionally (even if they are not that kind of therapist). The office has great communication and flexibility for various schedules. No judgement. No pushing to dangerous limits.

They got to the root of the problem and systematically gave me the right series of home exercises to relieve and/or lessen my symptoms. Bobby was just great: professional but pushing me as far as I could go. The whole staff seemed equally professional. Overall a solid, healthy experience.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Marty at Rock Valley Physical Therapy enough. He had helped my father, mother, and wife all with varying physical ailments! My dad couldn't walk because of a herniated disc, Marty had him walking out of the office out of his visit. My wife had back surgery, removing bars from her spine, and we were extremely discouraged as she was still in immense pain. Marty found out it was atrophy in her back muscles and helped us figure out exercises she could do with her spinal fusion to strengthen her back. He's not just an expert at his craft, he takes the time to get to know you and your specific situation. The staff was all extremely kind and accommodating. If you need physical therapy and are anywhere near Des Moines definitely come visit Marty!

Fantastic experience: I am extremely pleased with my experience at Rock Vallley Physical Therapy. Everyone on the team is friendly and pleasant to work with, making my rehab enjoyable during the past four months. Bobby (my PT) listens and asks questions to develop and revise as needed, a personalized treatment plan, consisting of a variety of exercises in the clinic and those to be done at home. Not only is Bobby highly trained and knowledgeable on best practices and current technology when it comes to modality and strengthening, but he takes time to thoroughly explain the why? behind the exercises--how they improve the muscles and movement. During exercises, Bobby is attentive and consistently checks to ensure you are not experiencing discomfort or sharp pain to the injured area, and celebrates with you for a job well done, serving as both coach and cheerleader! He takes the extra time to explain the entire process and why he is having you do the exercises. He doesn’t just go through the motions, he actually enjoys his job. After suffering for 9 days with severe low back pain...Marty was able to loosen rock-hard back muscles, seemingly effortlessly! Within 2 visits!!! What a Godsend!! I went from barely being able to walk, to 4 days after my first visit, I was able to go on a beautiful 20 mile bike ride with my husband. Marty and office staff...I do not have words to express how grateful I am for the incredible knowledge, guidance and patience during my PT sessions. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
