Negative experience: Went in under the direction of my tele health provider as I’ve been suffering from a severe sinus infection for 6 weeks. They wanted me to be seen in person to have an xray of my sinus cavity and an in person exam so I could get a refill of the pain medication I was prescribed on January 2nd. My teledoc said taking 10 Tylenol a day would be worse for me than asking for a refill on pain medication and I really needed an xray since this has been my 4th sinus infection in 2 years. The “Dr”, who wore his mask as a chin diaper, leaned back in the chair and up against the back door of the exam room telling me I don’t need antibiotics and I should ‘just take Sudafed and maybe Benadryl at night’. He said Tylenol or ibuprofen would help. When I said I’m taking both Tylenol and ibuprofen and explained the quantities, he said I shouldn’t do that either but he’s not going to prescribe anything to me and I shouldn’t even take the antibiotics that have helped me until I had another flare up. He said, “if you’re taking that much Tylenol you need to go to the emergency room” and called me a drug addict as well and other less direct implications of my “drug seeking behavior”. I’ve never been so offended in my life. I came to a place in terrible pain with a bottle with pain medication in the bottle that hadn’t even been taken, and they refused to help me and called me a drug addict. Stay away from the “doctor” Gary at this place… hopefully the rest of the people have some professionalism and intend to help sick people but he doesn’t. I could continue to talk about how he had no idea what medications I said I was taking or my medical history I disclosed at intake, but it’s a moot point. If you’re looking to have actual care, go to the ER and wait or find ANYWHERE BUT HERE!

Negative experience: I brought my husband to PIH for X-rays. He is disabled and is having pain in his shoulder and elbow. The radiologist SAEED YADEGAR treated my husband without compassion for his limitations. He lacks human social skills and ethics. My husband suffers from nerve damage which makes it difficult for him to live a quality of life. He only comes out of the house for doctor appointments. My husband felt so belittled and held in his anger. This radiologist is lucky that he still has a job. People come to see him because they are in pain not by choice. He should find another job where he doesn’t have to deal with people . Clearly this is not the ideal career for him. Remember with out a patient needing your service , you would not have a job. The only good thing was that he was in and out quick. My word to the radiologist be a better person, have compassion, and treat others with respect. It’s never too late to change. We can only get better from this point and on.

Negative experience: I have taken my daughter twice this week. The first time they gave her medication that made her worse and the second time they gave her medication for acid reflux when she never mentioned having acid reflux. They said that if the pain continues to not go back to there, years ago that place was good, not anymore.

Negative experience: I’m so frustrated with the two OBGYNS at pioneer medical group. If you are thinking about going for all your prenatal care think about it twice. Not only are we dealing with many changes but they don’t make it easy on you. When you make so many arranges with your partner to make it on time to the appointments they think it’s so simple to change your app with them whenever they want. They change appointments very often and if you are working it doesn’t help. Dr. Chon has emergencies or dr. Park has emergencies. Seems like they use the same story every time. Just be warned. It’s very frustrating.

Negative experience: The review is toward a Johnny, and assistance. This man needs to be fired. The new company taking over, please re consider hiring this man. He prescript ed Liptor 40/QD . Never a follow, had other test that needed to be done and he never followed up if I had taken them. I did not know till 2/20/19 after speaking to someone in Bellflower telling this had be done in july of 2018. Johnny is not a DOCTOR and should not be able to write a prescription to anyone, he does not follow though, he does not care about the patient. I got very sick for 5 month and could not understand why. I had ever side effect but Jaundice. I lost so much weight, I could not eat, fever, pain all over my body, urine brown, weak, could not think, I could not get up to take myself to the hospital on 12/4/18. I than took myself off everything and when home pathetic..after 4 days of realizing I did not take my Liptor I looked up the side effects I had them all, but one. to figure out what was happening to me. I let Johnny nurse know of the issue, advised her I would never go back to the Downey Facility again. She did not seem to care as well. These people are practicing what they learn on us. Be your own Doctor and question everything there are practicing on you. They are not always right, Like JOHNNY. Firer him. I will not just take a pill for you to get paid for a doctor visit, When JOHNNY ISNT A DOCTOR. But a poor excuse. WHAT HAPPEN TO YOU PIONEER MEDICAL GROUP.....THAT YOU HIRE SUCH POOR INDIVIDUAL ..... I HAD TO ENTER A STAR, THIS COMPANY DESERVES NOT STAR.

Negative experience: Let’s just say that this place was once really helpful when the other location was set and as they moved to this location I feel the inconsistency. I’ve been waiting two months for my sons approval letter from when we went to see the ONLY dermatologist there and I have received non.

Negative experience: Urgent care used to accept children, but now refuses and says they have to go to the ER. This happened to us last week.

Negative experience: I've been coming to pioneer practically my whole life. As an adult I have never had a issue with anything. Now with the big move and changing management, I've had so many problems with this Downey office. The receptionist staff are very rude over the phone. I had so many cancellations with pediatrics and OBGYN. I'm just very frustrated with how this Downey clinic manages now. I've already chosen another provider and doctor for my daughter. As for myself I will continue to look for another provider.

Negative experience: The Pioneer Medical Group at Downey - I am very dissatisfied with the staff at this location. I was recently given an appointment for 9:00am and was told I would have to wait for several hours before I could see the ENT Doctor. After reaching the office, I was told that I had not shown up for my appointment at 8:00am and would have to reschedule. The staff was totally full of lies, disrespectful and mean. This is the last place I would go for services. Also they need you to verify the person that gave you the appointment (fFirst and Last name) just for verification. I would give them 0 rating.

Fantastic experience: I want to say thank you to Dr venugopal for being a great pediatrician. I bring my two daughters with him and it's the best decision I've ever made. Hes very professional and he answers all my questions with no rush. He takes his time with my daughters. Also the staff are very kind and professional. They returned my call in a timely manner. Lastly, I want to thank one of the ladies that attended my daughter with care. Thank you Norma for being very courteous with my daughter and with me in this emotional time for us.

Positive experience: Except for having to wait for a certain time both for the appointments as well as waiting in a queue, I really liked this place. They seem so friendly, in their professional attire and helpful. I love the hospitals electronic system of management like registrations, medical reportings etc.

Negative experience: I'm a simple student who just needed to get all the proper vaccinations so that I may submit to my university. It's required for all students who are attending a university, high school, and lower educations. So why when I tell them this basic knowledge do they act like they never have heard of it or done it before. I then give them a list of what I need and simply say to give me what I need so I can be on my way. During the part where the nurse (not the white coat but the ones who wear the colorful uniforms because they didn't take more schooling) was asking questions, she could not get past the questions about drug use. I literally had to say I do not use drugs 4 TIMES before I said with an attitude "how many more times do you want me to say it?" I told the practitioner (white coat, Cynthia is believe?) how rude and offensive the nurse had been and Cynthia didn't care and moved on to make sure I was out of there with what I needed. VERY RUDE place and am currently looking for a different location that doesn't make me feel like I am a drug user. I still see that same nurse there (young late 20s/early 30s, glasses, brown latina, ugly) so I know that all that people complain or communicate gets completely ignored. I wrote this so whoever reads this can listen to all these negative reviews. They're not lying, THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE.

Negative experience: The receptionists are very rude and condescending. Arrived 30 minutes early for an appointment and still waited 25 past my appointment time. I will be moving to the Long Beach location as they are better overall.

Fantastic experience: I came to the ER and ended up having to stay for a whole week.... Everyone was so helpful as well as very professional and caring. I loved my stay here, they are always on top of everything, made my stay here feel better. thanks to the staff in the 4th floor, and Dr. Deere. They even have a doggy to make patients feel better, and caring nurses. Love it .. wouldn't change hospitals.

Negative experience: First time seeing this doctor. I am a long time migraine sufferer and was in need of a refill on my prescription originally prescribed by my neurologist who recently retired. Unfortunately my new neurologist isn't able to see me as a new patient for a few months. I came in with my medical files from my previous neurologist and requested the prescription please be refilled. Even though she can see all my medical records she tells me that I don't need them and that I need to go purchase over the counter Excedrin Migraine. This is something I have been dealing with for over 30 years and have tried numerous medications. I most recently been prescribed a combination that works and she in all of 1 minute tells me to go to the store and purchase Excedrin! Isn't that like putting a band aid on a broken leg? Never again!

Negative experience: Absolutely the most unprofessional care I have ever come across. I went into receive urgent care and was not seen by a doctor, the caregiver who did see me opened the door in the examination room I was waiting in and stood halfway behind the door, he spoke to me with the door completely open (no respect of privacy), and spent a total of no more than 1 1/2-2 minutes with me (even though I was the last patient before closing and there was still about 20 minutes left until they closed), he wouldn't tell me what had caused the issue that brought me in and just wrote up a prescription without telling me what it was for. I don't typically write reviews (especially not mean ones), but this is my health and I couldn't believe how I was treated. If you have alternative options, please don't go here for care. I went to this place because it was the closest place listed on my ppo insurance's directory
